Forsaken By Love

It took two days before the police sent out a press release stating that He Weiling was sentenced to life imprisonment for homicide, while his wife was sentenced to ten years as an accomplice. 

They were also sentenced to recompense He Lixue by reimbursing all the properties and wealth that they had taken from her, as they were the cause of her coma, and on top of that, they had to pay her compensation for the years she spent in a coma, and also for the loss of her parents.

In the end, the He family had to hand over all their properties and shares of the businesses they took over, including the He Corporation that had originally belonged to her father. 

He Lixue was not studying to become a businesswoman, however, when she took over the He Corporation, she decided to change her initial plans for the future.

Initially, she had wanted just to create programs, but now that the company had returned to her hands, she wanted to run it. Fortunately, she had Lu Nanfeng's support, and he quickly taught her how to manage the business. 

And while she was still studying, he also sent a manager to deal with the company so that she did not have to pay all her mind to that. 

He also stopped putting pressure on the company, beginning to actively support it instead, and everyone understood that things had changed for the He Corporation.

The only one in the He family who had not been tried and sentenced was He Huiling, but she was not better off than her parents.

The entertainment industry had put her on ice, she could no longer find any jobs, and she had nothing left, as every possession belonging to her parents had to be returned to He Lixue. 

She was like a drowned rat, hated by all, and unable to find a place to relax. Jiang Jinnan also ended the engagement with her and cut all ties; she was left to herself. 

She was forced to find a real job, and her heart was full of hatred, but during the rest of her life, she would never be able to gain enough power to deal with He Lixue. From then on, they were from different worlds, and while He Lixue lived a carefree life, He Huiling would end up becoming a bitter old woman.

However, He Lixue was no saint. She did not pity He Huiling, and left her to deal with her own life.

After finishing the matter with the He family, quite some time had gone by, and it was time for He Lixue to display the game she had created for the university assignment.

Everyone had been looking forward to seeing He Lixue making fun of herself, but they found themselves shocked when she began displaying the game she had made and introducing it to the class.

The majority of the class had made some very simple games, but hers was truly magnificent. The art was outstanding, and the script was good, but most importantly, the programming was exquisite. 

Everyone was shocked beyond belief, and at first, they thought that she had cheated. Especially Zhang Jingyue was loudly yelling for the teacher to expel He Lixue. However, He Lixue provided proof of the progress made by herself. While Zhang Jingyue was sure that she had cheated, the confidence with which she was explaining the coding to the rest of the students made the others aware that this was, in fact, her ability.

Many of those who had previously looked down on her reeled in their disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and were instead full of admiration.

So what if she had taken the back door to enter the school, her abilities had conquered them, and she was extremely polite and gentle, helping those who had problems, and she soon became an integrated part of the class.

The only one who was unhappy with her ability to mingle with her classmates was Zhang Jingyue. She was jealous of He Lixue's ability, and jealous of her being liked by all, but she was just one person. Most of the time, the other students merely ignored her, especially when she was busy bragging about how she had entered the school with high grades, and others had to take the backdoor to enter.

Life had returned to a calm and enjoyable pace. He Lixue was spending her days in school and with Lu Nanfeng, and for the first time, she felt fulfilled. 

She did not need an action-packed life; she did not want to ever again encounter a situation as when she was fighting against the Organization; all she wanted was a calm life.

The time flowed past like water, and soon He Lixue graduated from University. By now, she had become extremely popular, and she was well-liked by the professors as well as the rest of the students. Her ability had conquered them all. 

But the professors truly felt it was a pity. She was so skilled in programming, but she had decided to spend her life in charge of a business empire. This was truly different from what they had envisioned, but she refused to budge; she wanted to take care of her parents' legacy.

Initially, He Lixue had no understanding of how to run a business, but she was very intelligent and quick to picked up new things. Under the tutelage of Lu Nanfeng, she had become a black-bellied businesswoman, and she was able to run the company with no problems. 

The other shareholders in the He Corporation were also delighted with her, especially because the He Corporation worked so closely with the Fenghuang Group. 

The Fenghuang Group had been seated on the top spot within the country. While it was not the most prominent group internationally, it was still relatively high up the rankings.

Working together with the Fenghuang Group greatly benefited the He Corporation, and He Lixue had taken the Corporation to a whole new level. They would have never experienced such a rise under the leadership of He Weiling.

Life was going on the right track for both He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng, and they were getting ready to move towards marriage.
