Forsaken By Love

After leaving Lu Manor, Lu Nanfeng, He Lixue, and the bodyguards returned to the mansion. It was night time, the sun had already set, and the darkness had crept up upon the land. 

As the cars drove into the driveway, He Lixue felt a sense of exhaustion waft all over her body, her eyes turned heavy, and she yawned. Although she had not used much energy during the meal with Lu Nanfeng's parents, she had done everything in her power to be on high alert at all times, especially since Di Zhiqing did not like her.

If she did not do well, then the banquet could have easily become a feast of Hongmen. 

Fortunately, Master Lu and Lu Nanfeng were both on He Lixue's side, so even if Di Zhiqing wanted to make it into a feast of Hongmen, it was impossible. 

After arriving home, Lu Nanfeng smiled at He Lixue. He felt so happy that his father was supportive of their relationship, that he wanted to ignore the Organization for a whole evening.

He wanted to indulge in the feeling of being together, and the moment they entered the house, Lu Nanfeng dragged He Lixue into his embrace. 

"Dearest, my father seems to approve of us being together," he whispered in her ear, enjoying the feeling of seeing her tremble in his arms. 

He smiled and felt extremely happy as he saw how he had an effect on He Lixue; he loved everything about her. 

He Lixue could not help but smile sweetly. She could feel Lu Nanfeng's love for her; she could feel that he was happy just by being by her side. 

The two smiled knowingly at one another before they slowly climbed the stairs to the bedroom. Every servant had intentionally hidden themselves, so when they moved, they did not encounter anyone on their way. 

As they reached the bedroom, the temperature was steadily rising; their hands were slowly touching each other, feeling the others' skin beneath their fingers as they slowly removed the clothing articles that were on them, revealing the beautiful sight beneath.

Their breathing became hurried as they kept hugging each other, touching each other, and kissing one another on their way towards the bed. 

Soon passionate sounds echoed out in the bedroom, accompanied by low m.o.a.ns and sounds of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e.

The following morning, He Lixue woke up feeling physically exhausted but mentally refreshed. She felt as if she could overcome the entire world, that nothing would be able to pause her steps. 

When she opened her eyes, she found that Lu Nanfeng was nowhere to be seen, but she was not insecure because of this. Instead, she just smiled slightly as she slowly rose to her feet. 

Looking down upon her n.a.k.e.d skin, an adorable blush spread over her face as she saw the many marks that were left after their intimate and passionate session from the previous night. 

As a satisfied and happy smile spread on her face, she shook her head before moving towards the bathroom, where she quickly washed herself.

After washing up, she found a sky-blue dress, and she suddenly felt youthful. 

She swirled around herself, pleased with her appearance, before she nodded her head approvingly and walked down the stairs, only to find that Lu Nanfeng was not in sight there either.

Frowning slightly, she could not help but wonder where he was. Walking around the house, she finally found him in the middle of the study room. 

He was standing with the back to the door, his hand holding his smartphone and talking in a weird language that she did not understand. 

She was never very good at languages, she knew the basics of a handful, and could speak the language of her old country and the one from where she now resided. 

She looked at Lu Nanfeng, but it was impossible to see his facial expression from the back. Knowing that she should not just eavesdrop on his conversation, even if she did not understand it, she knocked on the door, and he turned around. 

He smiled at her and pointed at the sofa, gesturing for her to take a seat. Although he was gesturing to her, he was still speaking fluently on the phone without pausing. 

Not wanting to interrupt, He Lixue put her phone on silent and began playing mobile games.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, and although they were doing their own thing, they felt comfortable and happy.

Lu Nanfeng was speaking with Wen Sihan in his own language. Lu Nanfeng had chosen that language intentionally, because he did not want He Lixue to know what they were talking about. 

The whole situation with the Organization could not be put aside. Although Master Lu was supportive of He Lixue, he would not solve the problems for them. 

He was not going to go against them, but he would not help them either, unless they had ended in a situation where they could no longer handle it.

However, Lu Nanfeng and Wen Sihan were working together, so things were not out of hand just yet, and if they went according to plan, nothing would happen that would need for Master Lu to involve himself in the whole process.

He Lixue waited for Lu Nanfeng to end his phone call before lifting her head from the phone and gave him an inquiring look. 

She did not ask about what was happening, as she knew that he would tell her if she needed to know, but she was curious about the plans for the day. 

Since she had returned from the Organization's clutches, she had not been allowed to leave Lu Nanfeng's side at any moment. 

After spending every day alongside her man, she had gotten used to it, and while she did long for the freedom to do what she wanted to do, she understood that everything had a price. 

If she would go against Lu Nanfeng now, she would be really ungrateful, as everything he did, he did for her.

She was tired of being bound by his side, but she understood that it was necessary for the time being, and she accepted this.
