Even Though You Are Crazy.

" Mr Li , the girls are in terrible condition. They are malnourished ,bruised and I am suspicious about their inability to speak when nothing is wrong with their voice boxes. Can you tell me about how this happened?" The good doctor pushed his spectacle up on his nose and questioned strictly. He was afraid that it might be a case of kidnapping.

Li Jun watched the doctor speak and he took out his phone to call his friend.

"Shi Chongkun, you idiot. Did you really send your family doctor to my house or some quack?".. Li Jun said on the phone a little bored.

Shi Chongkun said something in return.

"Yeah? but why is he asking me what is wrong with the girls? when I called him specifically because I want to know what's wrong with the girls? I will have to advice your family to change your family's doctor. This one will not do.". Li Jun looked at the annoyed doctor and smiled while talking in English.

Right after he hung up , he turned towards the doctor and smiled.

"Doctor, You must be aware of Mr Shi's influence and wealth in this country and you have to wonder why the Shi family caters to me with such respect that they sent you to my mansion in the middle of the night. You are not here to question me about things that are not related with the girls' fever. Just do your job. Prescribe some good medicines and everything is fine. You understand?" Li Jun began his threats. He didn't want this doctor to underestimate him just because of his age and think that he could talk about his privacy with someone else.

The doctor swallowed but still said.

"I understand Mr Li, but I still have to know. If.. If.. the girls are in danger...? The doctor didn't complete his sentence and let it hang . He just wanted the best for the girls.

Li Jun sighed tiredly.

"Alright?... The girls were being sold in an illegal underground auction. Two or three senators were there, including some mafia bosses etc and etc... myself included. I bought the girls for 400 million pounds after fighting it out with the Mayor's son.. I might have had him killed...I don't know.. it's pretty Simple. what are you going to do doctor?" Li Jun asked curiously. He was really curious to know.

The doctor gulped. And then gulped again. This boy was only a rich kid wasn't he? Apparently he wasn't just a rich brat but also a criminal?

He looked towards the green-eyed twins who were looking at Li Jun with their eyes a little glazed due to the fever. And then at the behemoth- looking African American man beside the Chinese kid. Then he made up his mind.

The girls were given medicines and the maids were told to bring iced water to wipe the girls down. The maids moved quickly and Li Jun left the room to let the maids do their care.

"Mr Li!" The doctor stopped Li Jun before he could walk towards his room.

Li Jun immediately turned towards the man who was probably in his early forties. Li Jun arched an eyebrow.

"I know , it's not in my place to say anything. Its your business. But please take care of the girls. I can only hope ,you don't mistreat them. They are already frightened as it is. Please. Please, treat them like the kids they are" The doctor was a kind man but he had no power nor influence to go against this class of people. But he still tried.

Li Jun was not impressed.

"You are right , doctor.. about one thing. It is not your place". Saying this Li Jun walked towards his room as Peare escorted the good doctor out.

The doctor was disappointed. He could only watch his steps as he was escorted out.

At the gate, Peare suddenly passed doctor Sam Davis a check.

"What is this?" The doctor asked surprised.

"My boss likes you. Keep it doctor Davis". Peare gave Dr Davis a rare smile.

How come he didn't feel like he was liked at all?. Dr Davis immediately refused the check.

"I am sorry,I cannot accept this. I was only doing my job. This amount of money is too much". He said sternly.

Peare liked this type of people.

"Please don't make it hard for me doctor, I am also just doing my job. Please accept it without feeling burdened. It is not a bribe". Peare convinced.

Obviously it was a bribe. They both knew that.

A dangerous bribe.

Dr Davis begrudgingly kept the check.

"I will come in the morning to check on the girls again" Dr Davis said with resolve.

"Sure". Peare said gruffly.

As Li Jun watched the car drive off from his balcony, he couldn't help but frown. Too many things had happened in such a short time . Was this not his year? He was contemplating if he needed to do a ritual or something like that even though he didn't believe in that nonsense. Maybe San Francisco was not a lucky place for him?
