Even Though You Are Crazy.

"What happened Mark?" The Mayor asked worriedly.

The Mayor and his younger brother went to a corner away from the kid and his men.

" Its Tyrese. My Lieutenant said he is at the police station right now with the media people.. it is a bloody circus at the police station right now. I need to go there .. right now". His younger brother said.

"Yes, you should go but first we must find your nephew. So much time has already passed anyway. We don't have any time to waste". The Mayor was worried for his son and turned around to go down the corridor but The chief pulled him back again ..

"You have to go with me too".

"Why?" The Mayor asked impatiently.

"Tyrese Walker.. is there for Louis. He says Louis killed Brad . My Lieutenant says that Tyrese brought along concrete proof with him. "

The Mayor was shocked. He did not know about this at all.

"Are you sure?"

"I am sure.And even if we find Louis. We need to bring him in for questioning right away. What should we do?" The chief asked.

The Mayor didn't know what to do. His son was in danger from both sides. Heck! Even his own career was on the line right now. Why on Earth did it have to be Tyrese? He could only hope that everything was only a misunderstanding.. But he knew deep down that Louis never did get along with Brad Walker.

"I am going to kill Louis when we find him... But let's find him first " As long as his son lived, he would find a way to protect him.

The Mayor's guards and the policemen walked down the corridor and opened each room. The underground was made in the design of a hotel or a boarding house with the rooms facing each other and a corridor down the middle. They opened one room after the other.

Each room was empty. There were six rooms in total and each room was empty, saved for the chairs and tables , everything was empty. No torture devices , no blood. Nothing.

The Mayor was perplexed at his findings. He was so sure ,he would find his son here, chained somewhere.

He looked towards the young kid. He was just following along and leisurely strolling inside rooms with the policemen, looking around like it was his first time here. The Mayor didn't buy it.

Li Jun turned towards the Mayor suddenly meeting his eyes unawares.

"Do you want that tea now?" Li Jun smiled.

"Bastard! tell me now, where is my son?!" The Mayor yelled desperately.

Li Jun paused and then replied.

"Under my bed"

The Mayor was so angry he lifted his hand to slap the stupid boy but before he could reach him , Peare and the other guards waylaid him. This caused the Mayor's own guards to jump into action. Guns were drawn. But none of the guns were from Li Jun's side. All the Mayor's.

The policemen were caught in an awkward position. They could only look towards their chief for instructions.

The chief of police's phone was continuously buzzing and he needed to leave. Louis wasn't here and that was it.

The Mayor broke the silence first.

" This is strength my boy. I could have my men shoot you all down, right now and I would still get away scot free. You understand?"

"I understand. So, what's stopping you, Mr Mayor?" Li Jun challenged.

This brat.

"Mr Mayor. Please calm down".The chief of police spoke in a hurry.

The Mayor laughed bitterly. This kid was the only link right now in his son's disappearance. Harming him might harm his son in return. Also , there were pressing matters right now happening at the police station.

"This .is . not .over." The mayor threatened.

Li Jun smiled. He knew, it was not over.

The Mayor told his guards to stand down and the guns were put away.

"Let's go".

All of his men and the policemen followed him out.

Li Jun walked out of the garage facing the sun and sighed in contentment. Peare did not follow him out though.

It was a bright afternoon.

"The Mayor will have left someone to keep an eye on us. Be careful". Li Jun said in a sing song voice. The Sunshine was sipping into his bones to wash away his tiredness.

Peare's second in command nodded after hearing Li Jun's command.

Li Jun walked towards the main house.

"Let's eat"

Breakfast / afternoon meal was served. Li Jun ate alone at the dinning table. Most of his men had gone off to eat their own meals by now.

"I feel like I am forgetting something!" Li Jun said looking at his young maid.

The maid thought for awhile and said.

"ummm... the girls , sir?"

"No. No. Not them. Something else. Anyways where are they . Have they eaten?"

The maid shook her head.

"Just breakfast sir. Not the nooning meal. They fell asleep right after breakfast." The maid said in her British accent.

Li Jun didn't know how they could sleep amongst the noises and chaos of this morning.

"wake them up and bring them here for lunch" Li Jun said as he continued to eat his meal.

soon, the two little girls were brought down to the dinning room.

"Come sit here." Li Jun said in a cheerful tone gesturing to the seats .

Li Jun saw that the girls were holding onto the young maid. They seemed to trust her. Li Jun was a little surprised .

The maid helped the girls to their seats and then other maids brought food for the children.

Li Jun told them to eat and they ate. Li Jun did notice that they were uncomfortable with him.

He let it go and did not bother them. But he continuously ordered food that he knew kids would like.

After he finished he got up slowly without alarming the kids and told them he had to go work first. The girls nodded robotically and Li Jun ruffled their shiny blonde hairs before he left.

Seeing his playful nature, the girls looked at each other eyes filled with amazement.

Li Jun sang an old American movie song as he walked towards the room at the end of the hallway. He opened the huge mohagany door and entered the room. Peare and three of his guards were standing there beside a huge king-size bed minus the mattress and the blankets which were all over the room, courtesy of Mr Daren.

Li Jun nodded and Peare dialed a number.

"Sir is here".

After half a minute. A cl.i.c.k.i.n.g sound was heard from under the floor of the room and the entire bed moved.

The heavy bed lifted up exposing 4 steel rods anchoring it from all four sides. Soon it reached the ceiling.

A staircase leading underground came into view.

"I did tell him that his son was under my bed." Li Jun explained.

"yes. You did sir" Peare responded gruffly.

As Li Jun walked down the stairs followed by his men... The chaos in the huge room below came into view.

The surveillance cameras ,which had been taken apart in a rush were all over one side in the corner, the torture equipments in another corner and steel chairs and tables in another corner.

"Thank you gentlemen for your swift work today. Expect a hefty bonus from yours truly this paycheck... Except for the douchebag who forgot to turn off the lights"

Li Jun joked heartily. But indeed that month everyone had gotten a luxurious bonus except for a sulky man ,who was in charged of lights this very day.

Li Jun was in a great mood. His adrenaline was still pumping from earlier.

"Where are our guest?" He enquired.

Peare led Li Jun to a room passing various other rooms, filled with Louis's guards.

Peare then, opened a door for Li Jun respectfully and stood aside.

As soon as he entered

Louis stood up. Two guards stood on each of Louis's sides .

"Is my dad gone?" He asked, his eyes darting around hopefully.

"Yep?" Li Jun sat down.

"You got your evidences from my home?" Louis asked again in the same tone.

"Yep!" Li Jun answered watching Louis.He looks so similar to his father, Li Jun thought.

"Can I go now?" Louis asked hopefully. He had followed everything he was told to do and even ordered his own men to help with the evacuation of the garage rooms.

He had help this kid evade his own father. Albeit he had no choice with guns around the kid's guards but still...

"Nope!" Li Jun said shattering Louis's hope.

Li Jun had had another underground rooms build as an extension to the garage rooms. But this rooms could be accessed from only one of the garage hidden rooms and from under the room above.

The old blue print was known to so many that he could not, truly relax. So he had had this rooms built a few months ago and only he and a handful of his guards knew about it.

What had worried him earlier was not them finding the garage rooms but the surveillance tapes and various other items including Louis and his men in it. He needed time to move them. And thankfully he got just that.

But he still leaked the surveillance tape of Louis's confession and other evidences to Tyrese Walker because , there was no other way to divert the Mayor's attention. This Tyrese Walker had worked faster than he had hoped. He must have recheck everything before declaring war on his friend and the highest authority in the city.

Everything worked out exactly as Li Jun wanted... and at the right time.The Mayor might have torn down the underground rooms for all he knew, exposing the path leading here....If the Mayor had time, Li Jun was sure, he would have done just that.

Li Jun had been very sloppy since last night.

"WHY??!" Louis screamed at the kid.

Li Jun gave his attention back to Louis.

Calmly, Li Jun pointed towards his forehead.

"Your dad hit me". Li Jun explained.

Louis swallowed a curse.

"He must have been emotional because of my disappearance. I apologize on his behalf. Please sir, just let me go" Louis finally begged. Now, he had realized that this kid was capable of much more than just kidnapping.

Li Jun stood up and patted Louis's back comfortingly.

"You should have lived your life better"

Li Jun walked out ignoring the curses flying out of Louis's mouth and told Peare.

"The two young boys with Louis earlier. Tell them they can do whatever they want with Louis and I might let them go alive". Li Jun turned to walk away.

"What about the rest of his guards?" Peare asked in an emotionless voice.

Li Jun rolled his eyes irritated, at Peare.

"Got it, sir" Peare walked away to follow orders.

No sooner did Peare enter a room and said something, screams could be heard from Louis's guards.

Li Jun continued to sing his song from earlier as he climbed up the stairs again.

"Near..far..where ever you are. I believe...."
