Even Though You Are Crazy.

" Mother , please... let's sit down first and talk. Have you had your lunch?" Li Jun asked.

He nodded as Meng Hwa shook her head.

Li Jun guided the three women towards the dining room.

He pulled out a chair for his mother as Yu Yan and Li Fen found their own . He gestured towards a maid in uniform.

"Tell Butler Luo to serve my wife and I, our breakfast and lunch course for my mother and sister."

The maid left to fulfill his command.

"Li Jun, Xiao Yan , You guys have not eaten breakfast yet?.. Its so late already." Meng Hwa asked worriedly.

"Ah mother, we woke up too late...Don't worry." Li Jun reached for her hand and squeezed it gently.

"Hmm... Li Jun ,I came with a very bad news.. I don't know if we should talk about it while eating or not?" Meng Hwa said tiredly,looking towards Yu Yan. She had woken up with the news of Li Chen being shot. She had come straight to Li Jun from the hospital, unable to reach his phone. She had not eaten her breakfast too.

"Its okay mother.. Yu Yan is my wife, she can handle anything" Li Jun spoke soothingly.

Just then plates and cups where brought into the room. The maids began to serve them.

Meng Hwa stopped speaking , waiting for the servants to clear out.

The servants brought out piping hot dishes, one after the other. Butler Luo also walked in carrying a large tray of golden looking round things on a plate and two bowls of delicious looking soup. He place it directly between Yu Yan and Li Jun.

Seeing the golden buns, Yu Yan clapped her hands once in excitement... her eyes shining.

Li Jun watched her excitement and felt the trip was worth it.

Soon the servants where dismissed.

"Jun er, your brother Li Chen had an assassination attempt on his life this early morning." Meng Hwa sprang the news on them. Li Fen nodded her head in confirmation.

Yu Yan didn't feel any sort of feelings on that but she acted surprised for the sake of Li Jun.

"Is he okay?" Li Jun asked giving out the reaction expected from him as someone who was not close to his brother. Acting concerned and surprised would only cause suspicions.

Meng Hwa knew Li Jun didn't like Li Chen but both were her sons and she as a mother stood between them neutrally.

"Yes. He had a successful surgery this morning. I came directly here from the hospital" Meng Hwa was distraught.

"What do you want me to do?" Li Jun served his wife who had been swallowing her saliva for quite some time now.

She felt awkward eating alone when such a tragedy had befallen her husband's family.

Li Jun started eating and gestured for Yu Yan to start eating too. She did just that .

This round dough bread was Yu Yan's favorite breakfast . She had worked at this store for a few months and fell in love with the bread and soup.

The store was a popular breakfast store and they only sold breakfast food. The round bread was stuffed with a mixture of chicken, baby corn , capsic.u.m and other ingredients -It was a secret recipe of the store . The soup was a light chicken mushroom soup with strong smelling herbs, perfect for the stuffed golden buns. She sighed in delight as she broke the bun,dipped it in the soup and ate it . It had been months since she last ate there. Not only because it was expensive but because she never could wake up early enough to go buy it. The store closed before 8 am and the buns would be sold out before 7 am. She was too lazy to wake up early to stand in line for that. She was happy Li Jun still remembered her preferences.
