Even Though You Are Crazy.

Chapter 39 - Funeral.

The next day many people were standing around in the huge funeral room.

Yu Yan was also there helping, dressed in a simple black dress and walked around distributing drinks etc. to the soldier and friends of the deceased. She had come over immediately as soon as she heard from Li Jun and she hadn't slept yet. It was already about 3 in the evening now.

She arranged and also played the host, guiding visitors around. The bodyguard had no family except a young pregnant wife and a 4 year old daughter. When she had learn of this she had cried even harder. She felt that she had not only let someone die for her but also destroyed three other lives - the wife's ,the daughter's and the unborn child's. She cried all night and now she looked like a panda but she didn't care.

The guard's name was Choi Bohai. He was only 31 years old when he died. His young wife looked more composed than Yu Yan looked. She stood beside her husband's coffin and looked dignified. One would never guess that she was only 25 years old right now. The only give away of her feelings were the pale and lifeless eyes as she accepted the consolations of the visitors.

Yu Yan walked up to her when she was a little free and handed her a warm bowl of soup.

"Ling Ling, have this. you ate very little before. Eat a little more for your child's sake " Yu Yan begged .

Ling had a heavy change in her face as Yu Yan mentioned her unborn child but she s.u.c.k.e.d up her emotions and took the bowl from Yu Yan , and thanked her.

She asked "Madam were is Xi er? I haven't seen her for quite a while." Ling Ling ask with a hoarse voice ,which spoke of the hours she spent crying and screaming yesterday as the body of her husband was brought home.

"Oh don't worry, Li Jun is watching her...They are over there" Yu Yan pointed toward a distant corner. Li Jun was there and Xi er was there too. Li Jun was also wearing a black suit and had his feet crossed underneath the table and was talking about something that looked important with various people around him ,many of them his security personals . The little girl on the other hand was watching some cartoon videos on the phone probably since she was giving her full attention to Li Jun's phone screen. There were candies and toys on the table too. Yu Yan wondered where he got all that from ?.

Ling Ling smiled a little seeing her daughter.

"Yu Yan , I thank you so much for all the help you have given me . I would not have been able to do all this things without you and Master's helping me" Ling Ling looked so ernest that Yu Yan felt guilty and was about to say something when Ling Ling cut her words and continued..

"I can understand how you must feel but you also have to understand something. My husband was a soldier and he knew early on that this line of work was dangerous. Even I knew it before I married him. I have no hate or grudge against you and I am sure my Bohai feels the same way as I. So you can just let go of your guilt and live comfortably.. Okay?" Ling Ling smiled at Yu Yan and the smile was even genuine. It did not help alleviate her guilt instead it weighted down more on her.... Here she was being consoled by the wife of the man who died for her sake and her husband's sake sacrificing his own life and the happiness of his family.

Yu Yan wanted to cry again but did not. She hugged Ling Ling instead and thanked her for her kindness. She let go and rubbed away an errand tear and looked into Ling Ling's eyes .

"Ling Ling ,today onwards you are my sister. I, Yu Yan am your sister from today. You cannot say no" She teased a little at the end and they smiled at each other comforting each other.

Soon the time for the cremation ceremony arrived. As they headed to the crematorium. Ling Ling was devastated, watching her husband's coffin being inserted into the burner for cremation and wailed so hard she fainted and had to be taken to the hospital.
