Chapter 60 - Azrael part 1

As clearly the notification rang across his ears, the muddier his head became. The heavy gravity weighing down on him was by no means a joke. Although Kiel assumed that the assassins may have a trump card, seeing its usage now, had clearly totally blown off the little kid.

I mean controlling gravity by this degree is by no means something achievable even with the scientific progress of the 22nd century. But he himself experienced such a scene where he could literally feel his internals being crushed slowly. He was feeling oppressive, but more within him rose an unexplainable d.e.s.i.r.e for the same.

'Damn really? Do you have to use such an overkill card on a little kid like me? Why didn't you chase me as those usual villains do? I had already thought of a thousand things to make you my guinea pig. But you just have to change the question.'

Kiel tried to struggle and go out of the gravity zone, but the more he struggled, the more despair he felt.

"It's of no use little worms. The grade of this consumable magical tool is higher than even your imagination. Just lie there and let me kill you."

The distant shout of the lead assassin really felt like taking even the faintest hope of struggle he had And looking at the semi-conscious Tia and the unconscious girls, Kiel really felt like giving up.

'Seems like this experiment is bound to be a failure. Should I think about giving up and taking up another experiment material? After all, what would be the worst outcome? Slavery or most probably death?'

Being a slave he could climb up the ladder later, and if he died it would just be a restart again.

'Even the phase 1 of the whole procedure is stuck. Damn. Looks like this is really going to be a failure. Is this situation even salvageable?'

Should he tempt the lead assassin who was standing still at the back and giving him time to feel despair? But he clearly had to do something. Lamenting clearly wasn't helping.

If the assassin heard Kiel's thought now, he would literally cough off blood now due to anger. The little kid instead of praying for his own life was thinking about failure and success. Luckily thoughts are the born privacy of a person.

"Hey little one, the moment I catch you, I will skin all your tendons and ligaments while keeping you alive. Then I will melt your bones inside you slowly under your own watch. Finally, I will keep your soul with me for an eternity to torture again. Won't it be enjoyable hearing your screams and torments? DO you know how much that cost me? It was my second life and I had to waste it on insects like you." At the end of his speech, he didn't even look like an assassin anymore but simply an overheated geezer.

A clear and deep chill ran through his spine thinking about the things he would go through if caught…

'Damn! Do you have a mind-reading skill? How can you counter what I was thinking? And why did you even use it if you consider it your life? Keep your life with you. Why throw it? Moreover, you are wrong scientifically. Bones burn into ashes before they even reach their melting point.'

Hearing the words, he felt like retorting back. The thought of giving up totally vanished even though he felt like it was impossible. This is a magical world in itself so it may be possible. However, if he had to lose both his body and soul, it would create a very difficult problem for him as he would lose his chance to explore the world.

For a moment there the story went on the comical route. However, the situation was so dire that he could not help relieve himself with some comical gestures. But that was the end. With the gradual increase in pressure, he knew he could not go anywhere. But asking the system was also futile as it kept on ringing the same warning tune over and over without any other useful help.

Turning his head with great difficulty Kiel even saw the minions chugging some potions and recovering their health.

'No no. This cannot go on! For the exploration of truth losing my freedom as a soul would be the worst possible outcome imaginable. And if I went through something so horrifying without any mental preparation I would surely lose my mind. I can't let it happen!'

'Think Kiel! Think! What would help here? … Should I suck all the oxygen here? That would definitely teach this person a lesson. But it is impossible now… No… maybe I should just freeze all the blood vessels of this idiot or summon some fire Ebola? Damn Kiel, what are you thinking about? Focus! Focus! This is not the time to fantasize about the world!' For a moment he really lost his mind. Although he was a scientist from his previous world, he was no detective. Neither was he any combat expert. He was just a science fanatic.

"Hahaha"

Although he wanted to think about necessary survival routes, even if it included giving on his experiment material aka the princess, Kiel knew that was impossible now. And the wild maniac laughs of the idiot behind him was seriously disturbing his train of thoughts.

"Am I going to die here? No, I cannot die now! Mom and my sisters are waiting for me. Father's condition is still unknown. I cannot be stopped here."

As the pressure around him increased more and more, flashes of his life passed by his eyes. The unknown was even fearful and the coldness seeping in him was telling him that resistance was futile.

"Go bring the boy here along with the girls. This time I will not tolerate anymore mistakes." The silver one ordered his minions.

As he heard the footsteps nearing, his strength slowly started to seep out of his body, however, in this tense situation, his mind became more active. "I won't die… I won't die… I cannot die…  "

AS he repeated this within his mind… an unknown warmth spread all over his body.

.

.

"Damn! Even plot armour is not here to help me! And I am seriously going to die! Where is my plot armour? Why is this plot armour call chant not working?

Author or director or god whatever you are! Where is my hidden strength? I still can't move. And all I got after chanting is this f.u.c.k.i.n.g adrenaline rush which is making me even more nervous"

Kiel was no good in this type of situation as he didn't have any situational awareness. And he was no orator with speech eloquence who could use baits. Even in his previous life, he had to keep an orator with him to help him in conferences. So he knew he was deep in trouble. This was not even his previous world, where he could promise some new tech, and the dogs would come l.i.c.k.i.n.g.

So he had only one way out. Kiel took deep breaths and entered his Tranquil state to think about every possible power he could come up with and every other move.

And as they say adrenaline rush is the best power-up you could ever have. Kiel felt even his Tranquil State has been boosted with an unimaginable level.

'The silver one is not coming to me even after shouting so much. It seems this move won't allow the user to move. This could be my greatest opportunity. But to make use of it I have to dispose of the others first. However, I still cannot move… wait how are the other minions moving? That means this tool can be controlled!"

Kiel could still deduce out the details of what was going on. It was still not helping. Even if he knew what was happening he had no power.

'I have a good physical body, but it is currently defending against gravity. Weapon mastery is of no help. Electromagnetism is just a new power. I have no control over it now. Telekinesis may have helped if I had better control. But currently, I am in a bottleneck

…

wait didn't the system say it is not telekinesis but Gravity! Maybe I could use that move. Ya now that all the gravity elements are concentrated here maybe it is possible.'

Thinking up to here Kiel could not gulp down seriously. Just thinking about it, his heart started racing so fast, that Kiel was sure that he had pumped up so much adrenaline that he could even walk on a thousand blades without a hitch.

[A/N: A science joke I heard among my teachers! Don't mind it too much]

However, he knew If he could make this happen, then not only could he go out alive, but hehe… It was the move that he first thought up just when he heard that telekinesis was not his power.

He didn't have much time, as he could see the foot of his assailant stopping near him. But this was enough.

Kiel closed his eyes for a moment!
