Half a month passed by just like that. 

On the 20th, Shu Nian went to the recording studio in the centre of the city by following the address Li Qing gave her. 

Except for the second female lead who was completely dubbed by a voice actor, the rest were done by the actors themselves. 

Because of a problem during the filming of the movie, there was too much noise in the background so some of the original sounds couldn’t be used. The actors that were here today came to record the unusable scenes. If it was done fast, then it could be completed in a day or two. 

But due to the schedules of some of the leading actors, Li Qing just decided to record them separately. 

After entering the recording studio, Shu Nian was handed the script. 

There was no scene for her today. Shu Nian didn’t have anything else to do so she just took out a pen to mark her lines and figure out the character’s moods. 

Not many people entered the recording room. Most of them just stood outside but there was one woman in the studio. 

Shu Nian felt that she looked quite familiar. After giving it a thought, she soon remembered why. 

She was Ke Yiqing, a rising actress. 
 
Shu Nian rarely saw celebrities so she couldn’t help but take a few more glances.  

In her memory, Ke Yiqing’s style had always been trendy and sexy with heavy makeup and long eyeliner. She would be charming and sharp when staring at people and because of her appearance, most descriptions given to her were the same four words——”a femme fatale”. 

At that moment, there didn’t seem to be any make-up on Ke Yiqing’s face except for the thin layer of lip gloss on her lips. She wore thick glasses and her long curled hair was tied up. She looked particularly refreshing. 

It was very different from her usual image and Shu Nian almost didn’t recognise her. 

When Ke Yiqing was in the working state, she acted very focused and complying.  

Li Qing felt that one of the lines was not spoken very well so she had to record it several times. She didn’t get angry and patiently listened to Li Qing’s explanations on how to do it. 

On the side, there was a lip-syncing monitor. Shu Nian didn’t continue to watch her dub and walked over to it. There was a timer at the bottom of the screen and she could find the corresponding lines on the script to make some preparations first. 

It would save time and improve efficiency. 

After a while, several people came in one after another. 

They were probably actors who knew each other but were not very famous because Shu Nian had never seen them before. They said hello to the director, took a copy of the script and sat down on the side. 

Shu Nian politely greeted them and then continued to look at the lip-syncing monitor. 

After Ke Yiqing recorded half of the scenes, the director asked her to take a break and had another person enter the soundproof room. She picked up a bottle of water and drank a few sips of it. Then, she said hello to the actors nearby. 

After, she found a seat and sat down to play on her phone in boredom. 

It just so happened that she sat down on the seat next to Shu Nian. 

Shu Nian couldn’t help but look at her a few more times. 

Ke Yiqing didn’t seem to be in a very good mood. Her eyebrows were knitted together but she had very beautiful facial features, even when frowning she still appeared extremely gorgeous. She sighed and abruptly noticed Shu Nian who was at the side and raised her eyebrows. 

“How did a junior high school student sneak in?” 

After a pause, Shu Nian realised that she was referring to her: “I’m twenty-three years old.” 

“Huh?” Ke Yiqing was surprised and moved closer. “You’re already that old?” 

It was probably because of her shortness that the other party mistook her for being young. 

Shu Nian hummed. 

Ke Yiqing seemed to be very bored because she continued to talk to her: “Has Xiao Meimei1 ever been in a relationship?” 

Shu Nian put down the script in her hand and nodded: “I have.” 

“How did you guys get together?” Ke Yiqing became enthusiastic. There was this unexplainable feeling like she was asking for advice. “Did you chase them or did the other party chase you?” 

Shu Nian honestly replied: “The other party chased me.” 

Hearing those words, Ke Yiqing instantly lost interest: “Oh, then we don’t have a common topic to talk about.” 

“…” Shu Nian looked at her and took a guess: “Are you chasing someone?”

Shu Nian hesitated but still nodded: “I’ve seen him.” 

Ke Yiqing paused and continued without guilt: “Everyone’s opinions are different so maybe you don’t think he’s ugly. You know, xiao meimei?” 

Shu Nian’s expression remained suspicious. 

Ke Yiqing’s face became distorted and she changed her words: “Well, maybe I’m not at the point of vomiting…”
