After coming back from the supermarket, Wen Ming placed the things they bought in the kitchen one by one. What should be placed in the fridge, what’s left to make tonight’s dishes, and some cans and seasoning, all sorts.

Finally, he folded the empty bags and put them away, then looked outside.

Jiang Rui was circling in the living room.

Ever since he came back, he spun there irritably by himself. Like a trapped beast that could not sit tight.

Wen Ming took back his gaze. He went quiet for a while, then rolled up his sleeves, and started processing of these ingredients.

Today, he bought flour. Wen Ming wanted to take advantage that there was still time now, and could make a few more buns in on go, and not worry about tomorrow’s breakfast.

He just finished washing his hands and was currently pouring out the flour. When he still had his back facing the kitchen door, he heard Jiang Rui’s footsteps from behind walking in.

“Jiang Rui.”

Wen Ming’s hands had flour on them, and did not have the free time to pay attention to him. Jiang Rui stood there for a while, and following, Wen Ming heard three incomparably clear-cut thump thump thump sounds- it was the sound of a few cans being opened consecutively.

This time, he had to turn around to look.

Jiang Rui actually opened all three cans he bought that had different uses in one go. When he turned back to look, Jiang Rui was placing the final opened can in his hands down.

That pair of deep-grey eyes of his stared at Wen Ming.

“Thank you.” Wen Ming could only blame himself for being so careless, and extremely helplessly spoke with him with both his hands up with flour, “I know you can help out, but right now, there is no need.”

Because he had him help open the can last time, this person remembered.

It might be that right now, he really needed to prove he was useful.

With a broad-shouldered and long-legged Jiang Rui standing there, the space of the kitchen was forced to be more cramped

Jiang Rui seemed like he did not hear what he said, or maybe he was intentionally ignoring what he didn’t want to hear right now. He only stubbornly stared at Wen Ming’s eyes.

He did not turn back into a wolf’s appearance since they came back, nor did Wen Ming push him to either.

In the quiet kitchen, Wen Ming had to ask him again, “En?”

Jiang Rui did not give up yet. He did not see the thing he wanted to see from Wen Ming’s eyes. He still did not know that at this time, he already was a bit cornered, and repeatedly wanted to reach out to touch Wen Ming’s face.

Wen Ming on the other hand calmly stood in front of him, and did not have the intent of stopping him. He only looked at Jiang Rui without saying anything.

Thus, the action of Jiang Rui’s hand getting closer to him turned slower and slower, and in the end, like an invisible iron net stopped it in midair, that hand stopped.

He remembered now, Wen Ming already said it clearly to him already.

“You finally understand, Jiang Rui.” Wen Ming said, “This action originally should not be done to just any other person.”

He once again looked into Jiang Rui’s eyes, and made an approval and acknowledgement towards his action just now, “This is right.”

So it was like that.

Turns out not being liked was like this.

Wen Ming watched as Jiang Rui’s facial colour turn gloomy. This person stared at him for a few seconds, and then suddenly turned and went out of the kitchen.

This time, he heard Jiang Rui outside crankily breaking one of his chairs.

Wen Ming was in the kitchen by himself, and told himself not to be afraid, he had to hold it in.

He long already predicted there would be this, and also made the mental preparations. Except, he needed to work very hard to be able to calm down once more, and lowered his head and concentrated on forming the dough in his hands.

Not long after, Jiang Rui angrily rushed into the kitchen again.

Although Jiang Rui was right in the middle of a horrifying temperament, this devil only stood there watching him without saying a single word was all.

“Look, Jiang Rui.”

Wen Ming broke the silence. He did not go look at Jiang Rui, and only presented the thing in his hand for this person to look.

Laying in Wen Ming’s palm was a little wolf head formed from dough.

His hands were very skilful- the thing formed from his hands was fine enough, and if it wasn’t mentioned, it would make people think it was bought from a store. An animal like a wolf would also turn cute and likeable in his hands.

“Also.”

Wen Ming did not care for his silence, and revealed the other palm on his own.

This time, it was a white and chubby little rabbit, with the two small ears especially lively. Because rabbits were originally a ball, he could make a whole one, and let it rest in the palms.

Jiang Rui looked at his hands with an uncertain expression.

Actually, for him, the circumstances were not completely at a dead end.

According to Jiang Rui’s style, he could randomly pack up the person then kidnap them to a place one could never run out from eternally. And the reality was, if he wanted to do it, Wen Ming would have no leeway to resist.

However, he also knew little Mr. Strawberry was a person very good at holding things in.

To people good at holding it in, pain seemed like the most worthless thing to them. After all, they were very good at accepting the pain the outer world gave them.

However, there was someone already not willing to let him suffer a bit of pain anymore.

It was the defenceless Jiang Rui standing in front of him right now.

Jiang Rui inconveniently thought, perhaps even him being able to be in this room right now, was all because Wen Ming was holding it in.

Was there any other way?……

Wen Ming saw Jiang Rui was constantly staring at the rabbit dough without moving, and thus, signalled for him to put his hands out, and moved that soft and harmless dough rabbit into his hands.

This dough rabbit was unbelievably soft, like any arbitrary action could harm it. The dough was still carrying Wen Ming’s body temperature, and Jiang Rui’s palms were whitened by the flour.

He was always that gentle. Jiang Rui lifted his eyes up again to look at him.

Every glance he made at this person, from his eyes to the nose, each place was still like before, incomparably conforming with his tastes.

He could not look at this face again, every glance he took, and he would feel fucking terrible.

Except, there was nothing he could do.

He was that good.

[But] he did not like you.

After who-knows-how-long, Wen Ming saw the big fellow in front of him finally move.

Jiang Rui silently turned and walked out the kitchen.

Like a traveller trudging on a long journey in the cold world seeing the sole lamp from afar after ardour. Clearly he was that bright, yet could not part his warmth to you.

He was clearly that bright.

On the other hand, Wen Ming watched him leave while he himself turned back, and continued making his buns inside, while paying attention to the sounds outside.

This was a matter that was bound to happen, him telling it clearly to Jiang Rui early was for his own good.

Wen Ming did not feel good either.

However, he could not drag it on. The more he dragged it, the more he would hurt Jiang Rui.

The peace this time went on a bit longer, and once there was finally some movement, it was the sound of the door closing.

When Wen Ming walked out the kitchen, Jiang Rui had already left. The outside was empty, without a figure.

Only leaving a lonely doughy rabbit placed on the table of the living room.

……

Big Bear wanted to say something, but gave it a second thought, but really wanted to say it anyways. He said, “Hey, Jiang Rui.”

He did not know what was up with Jiang Rui today. They already circled around the billiards lobby, internet cafe, bar, basketball court, all the places that they could go to. And yet, the entire time, it could not make this big brother happy.

Today’s Jiang Rui seemed to be particularly hard to please.

Big Bear looked Jiang Rui beside him again.

To be a bit more precise, he was especially, especially, especially hard to please.

Jiang Rui was particularly quiet today. Just from his body, Big Bear could not see anything. Normally, Jiang Rui was of a bored look, as though nothing could enter his eyes.

However, it was the first time for him to see Jiang Rui so bored to this point. Practically like……

A lake of dead water.

“Ah right, if you really are that bored, let’s go mountain racing.” Big Bear tried his best to liven up the atmosphere, and said, “Big E and the others are all there.”

Jiang Rui did not have much of a reaction. Big Bear could only ask this guy again, “Mountain racing, going?”

He saw Jiang Rui finish the water in his hands, then scrap the plastic bottle with one hand.

“ ……Let’s go.” Jiang Rui was finally willing to speak.

Big Bear let out a sigh of relief.

Wen Ming who was at home by himself waited and waited, all the way past dinnertime.

Although he clearly understood inside he probably did not need to make Jiang Rui’s portion today, but when he was standing in front of the rice maker, Wen Ming still could not help but put in the rice for two.

Without the big fellow that would circle around in front of his eyes, his little home abruptly opened up quite a bit.

Wen Ming alone sat in front of the dinner table placed with all the dishes, and started eating by himself.

He had to eat this table of dishes that was destined to not be finished alone. Wen Ming, while moving his chopsticks, muttered about Jiang Rui, “Idiot.”

Before, he really believed there was some password to obedience in the world. In the end, this kind of…… this kind of thing, even if he knew what was up, would not be of any use in the future.

Every time Wen Ming used that kind of method to make Jiang Rui obedient, he would feel like he was deceiving his feelings.

Besides, how could there be a person that would care that much about him.

Wen Ming did not even take two bites and he placed the chopsticks down, then muttered at the table of dishes again.

“Idiot.”
