Twenty minutes later, two figures appeared at a breakfast place downstairs of the small district.

Wen Ming originally didn’t eat anything last night, so now after smelling the fragrance of dumplings, a roaring wave of hunger in the body surged up, and the person themselves were about to faint from hunger right then and there.

Jiang Rui who was standing by his side still had an unhappy look. He stood there with his face all sunken, not letting strangers close within a ten meter radius.

Jiang Rui lived right here, and he seemed to already be a frequent customer. Once the boss busying about in the store saw him appear, they smiled, then nodded their head to greet them. He did not need to say much either, and spontaneously took out a big back to put in freshly-made steamed dumplings.

Once the steamer opened, a big wave of fragrant white steam instantly flooded out- it was the scent of happiness solely belonging to the morning.

Smells so good. Wen Ming was so hungry he smelled it a few times more.

This store was mainly about handmade steamed dumplings made on the spot, each tray had five white and chubby fine dumplings, looking very pleasing. Wen Ming watched as the boss familiarly put in eight trays into the bag, with the act of filling and holding as smooth as flowing clouds and water, no pause in between.

Wen Ming was stunned the entire time.

The boss even wanted continue putting on more, but once he saw the steamer was already empty, he then turned back to take a small bamboo pick, and handed the bag to Jiang Rui who already paid.

The hungry Wen Ming did not understand.

Was he an ox? Eating that many dumplings???

The boss even merrily said to Wen Ming, “Young man, you’ll need to wait for ten minutes for our next batch, alright?”

Wen Ming watched Jiang Rui who finished buying his breakfast go out the store, and shockingly turned his head back to ask the boss, “He eats that much?”

The boss replied, “It’s not much, them young’ns can eat. That young man typically buys the entire lot, today is less than usual too.”

Wen Ming could not help but respectfully look at the outside Jiang Rui.

This fellow who does things his own way did not have the habit of waiting for others, and already went out the store.

Curses, the dumplings in his hands looked to be really good. Wen Ming was really about to faint of hunger.

The boss was still talking to him, “Young man, how about you look at our sesame balls or spring rolls? There is also others here……”

Wen Ming could only turn his head back, hold onto his grieving stomach, and once again choose from the other things in the store to eat.

Jiang Rui walked out the store, and when he turned his head back, he discovered he was missing a big rabbit by his side. He then discovered Wen Ming did not come out- they were still inside slowly choosing.

He yawned, and carried his bag while waiting outside.

Big Bear rode a bike to this store to buy breakfast, and saw that the sun was coming out from the west today from a good distance.

He stopped the bike to rub his eyes, and even came down from the bike to walk to the side of this big brother, then used a gaze like he saw a ghost in the day, and circled around and observed the irritated Jiang Rui from top to bottom.

Amazing. The laws of the world have changed.

Jiang Rui got out of bed.

Look at this expression, he was definitely forced out of bed.

Just which divine being did this? Forcing Jiang Rui?

What was even crazier was, it even succeeded?!

And in contrast to the explosive Jiang Rui at this time, Big Bear was what was called in high spirits. Once he asked “what is it bro”, he got a kick from Jiang Rui who got annoyed enough by his gaze.

Whatever, Big Bear’s had thick enough meat. Right now, the sole thing he was curious was what winds blew this way today, he really wanted to know!

Truly, once people lived long enough, they could see anything.

At this time, Wen Ming who was inside the store was walking out while holding a cup of hot soy milk.

Those greasy foods made him a bit nauseous instead after looking, however, he could not wait for the next batch of dumplings, and he even had to rush back to work. Thus, in the end, he only carried a cup of soy milk out.

Wen Ming also saw that bear by Jiang Rui’s side after coming out.

They were a slightly chubby, muscular boy. Their eyes and head were all round, with a stomach all round too. If they revealed two ears, they would probably be even rounder.

Big Bear was also looking at Wen Ming at this time.

After he finished looking, he did not know why, but he looked back at Jiang Rui, and in the end, his gaze went back to Wen Ming.

Making Wen Ming all confused.

This big guy looked to be a delinquent just like Jiang Rui from his outer appearance. However, he smiled at Wen Ming, and revealed a set of flashy big white teeth, and was clearly an open and good-natured boy. He roughly greeted, “Hello Teacher, I’m Big Bear!”

Wen Ming nodded his head, “Hello.” Then spoke up again, “You don’t need to call me Teacher.”

“Aye—— how could I. I should, I should, Teacher, you don’t need to be polite with me!” The gaze Big Bear was looking at Wen Ming with had a particularly hard-to-describe enthusiasm to it.

Jiang Rui already walked back to Wen Ming’s side at this time.

Wen Ming still needed to get to work, and so did not chat much with Big Bear. His plan was to go to the road in front, and pay for a shared bike to get to work.

He wasn’t sure if anyone took the bike he stopped at the carport last night. Wen Ming sighed inside.

It was because of the unforeseen event just now that Wen Ming got delayed by Jiang Rui, so if he still wanted to go to the nursery to change clothes in advance, he had to let this matter go first.

Jiang Rui and his bear would be at the school with two steps, but he had to rush back.

It was rush hour right now, so on the way, they met with many of Thirteenth High’s students wearing uniforms going to school.

Jiang Rui and Wen Ming was walking the same way. This big fellow was still following him. On the way, the nose-tickling fragrance from the steamed dumplings in Jiang Rui’s hands’ also followed behind Wen Ming.

Big Bear did not even need today’s breakfast- he went back to get on his bike, and especially followed this worrying pair from the back, and followed the entire way at a constant speed, observing in secret.

Jiang Rui ate three steamed soup buns in one bite.

He looked at the walking Wen Ming, then took a steamed soup bun, and extended his hand out and directly stuffed it to the side of Wen Ming’s mouth.

He did not ask if Wen Ming wanted to eat, and completely did not care that Big Bear who was caught off guard at the back was already shocked.

God, this was also the first time he knew that Jiang Rui’s food could be shared.

Others might not know, however, Big Bear understood him too well.

This wolf was actually using his own way to express friendship.

Wen Ming was walking on the road, when a soft, warm, dumpling suddenly touched his lips.

He did not take it, stopped in his steps, and looked at this distinctively-contoured, young boy’s face in front of him all perplexed.

He did not open his mouth, so Jiang Rui poked at him with the dumpling again. At this time, the two already stopped, and the image froze at this scene of Jiang Rui feeding his own food to him.

Big Bear: So you’re saying, you guys don’t care about me at all now, right?

Though the animal world universally acknowledged that the animal that roared the best was the marmot(wrong), but soon, it would be them bear-bears.

Who is this Jiang Rui?????

No, he knew these words were illogical, he just… he no understand! He no understand!!!

In the end, Wen Ming still ate it, and opened his mouth to take it. The steamed dumpling was already a bit cold, but it was still good. It was filled with meat juices, and the dumpling’s outer shell was soft and bouncy.

Once food entered the stomach, Wen Ming could even hear his own stomach singing thank you, because there is you, would the four seasons be warm[1].

The two people started walking forward once again. Jiang Rui ate a big mouthful again, then fed Wen Ming one.

Wen Ming opened his mouth to bite it, but at the same time, he also started looking around to find that extra bamboo pick the boss gave just before. He heard a ka cha, and a thin pick turned into two halves in Jiang Rui’s hand.

Wen Ming: ……

Aye.

Jiang Rui continued feeding him steamed dumplings.

He understood now why zoos in the past would have feeding events.

Because look at how Wen Ming was using his mouth to take the food in his hands- he would open his lips and hold it in his mouth, then could he step back. This process was so intriguing it made people happy.

Big Bear: I must still be sleeping. I should go back and hibernate once more.

This feeling was very magical and realistic.

Just, you helplessly watch as a very combustible item, when in Wen Ming’s hands, would not be combustible. Look again, it still hasn’t exploded, look once more, he actually won’t explode.

Fuck, so strange. Let’s look again.

The intersection was just in the front, extremely close, a few steps more and the two would arrive. Wen Ming tossed the emptied soy milk cup into the garbage can along the way, and stood by a shared bike and spoke with Jiang Rui.

He told Jiang Rui, if Jiang Rui was free, to go to the carport and help him check- after all, Jiang Rui recognized his bike. If it was still convenient, then help him take that bike.

Given that the bike was still there.

Jiang Rui quietly and attentively stared at his face. Although that pair of wolf eyes of his did not make people feeling comfortable when being stared at, was also true.

His gaze seemed to be stuck onto Wen Ming. Wen Ming did not know how much of those words he said just now went in.

Wen Ming looked at him for a while, and wanted to take advantage of how Jiang Rui was still comparatively obedient now, then he bore a minute sliver of hope and opened his mouth, “Jiang Rui.”

He said these words in earnest for the nth time, “Don’t skip class today.”

Jiang Rui lazily stood in front of him. At this time, Wen Ming was too familiar with this expression of how this doesn’t concern me on his face- it was the expression that giant wolf had in front of him when it was pretending it couldn’t understand.

He gave it some thought, and considerately opened his mouth for the second time, “I’m a bit tired today.”

With the type of person Wen Ming was, to be able to say the word tired from his mouth, meant that they were actually very tired.

Last night, it was like he did not sleep at all despite sleeping all night, and how he felt right now was, without a doubt, like he worked for an entire day with an overburden. Plus he even had to start the second day of work in succession.

That parent from yesterday was going to come in to sit at the office today, and the school principal would be there too. There was only one conversation over the phone yesterday after all- the face-to-face today was the end to that matter. Wen Ming’s mentality could not let up even for a moment.

Being tired was one thing, he was afraid this state of his could not deal with Jiang Rui well.

Thus, Wen Ming tried to negotiate with Jiang Rui. However, Jiang Rui knitted his eyebrows.

He did not want to hear Wen Ming say these words. Annoying.

Wen Ming saw him suddenly look at himself straight in the eye, and asked, “Not going?”

Since there was a leeway of discussion, Wen Ming nodded his head as though he could see hope. Jiang Rui lowered his eyes to look at his face. He purposefully stopped for a while, and Wen Ming’s hopeful gaze maintained for that long.

And then, Wen Ming saw that face of Jiang Rui’s suddenly emerge with a bantering smile.

“I’ll go anyways.”

He won’t [listen]. He will go see the rabbit.

Wen Ming turned speechless.

Not only because of Jiang Rui’s teasing, but once he finished speaking, Wen Ming froze from his sunken facial expression.

His morning mood had not passed even now, and rejected particularly straightforwardly. It was not even a simple rejection, he paused with each word, bringing a hint of intimidation to it.

Jiang Rui’s smile was only skin-deep. The air around him sunk, and Wen Ming who was closest to him had the prior trauma emerge inside of him uncontrollably.

The words he originally wanted to negotiate with about how they would stop for one day was stuck in the throat.

Jiang Rui saw the white facial colour on Wen Ming. He seemed to want to say something, but in the end, was unable to say it.

People would be obedient with a scare. And so, that direct and crude method of Jiang Rui’s would then be so successful.

It was like Jiang Rui vented half his anger, and at the same time, that kind of dissatisfaction inside grew heavier. Once Wen Ming rejected him, he would be irritated, the more irritated he got, the more he wanted to go.

After Wen Ming left, Big Bear then rode his bike and caught up to Jiang Rui.

Big Bear who just caught up asked a bunch of questions, “What happened? What’s happening now? What happened between you guys last night?”

Not only did Jiang Rui not pay attention to him, he even waved his hands and told him to beat it. He walked forward by himself, and even hid something in his hands, not letting Big Bear who was filled with curiosity look.

Big Bear’s feelings right now were originally complicated. After he even saw Jiang Rui pettily put a chain of what seemed to be a key for a bike into his pocket just now and not let him look, his feelings turned even more complicated.

Did he have to go so far? It was like no one else had a bike, are you not even letting others see it?

He didn’t feed enough on the drama, fine, he didn’t even have breakfast yet.

Oh right, there was one thing he forgot to tell Jiang Rui.

Although no one paid heed to it, but the incident of how Jiang Rui followed a rabbit last night at school already transmitted throughout the many ears of Thirteenth High’s students already.
