Chains Of Pride

Chapter 137 - The Takeshi Flex

All the spectators waited in glee as the Carrier hovered a scant distance away and lowered itself to land.

Gero was getting bored and Kia got annoyed and Eediatt appeared anxious.

"So I was right, this idiot's henchmen went after my little brother and got himself in trouble. My little brother is ranked higher as an S-Rank than this turd block here, so that henchman wasn't able to use said turd block's name to defend himself."

As Kia finished saying this to himself, the carrier landed sending a gentle breeze towards them, rustling the leaves of the trees growing sparsely in the area.

Swish.

The doors opened up to reveal a small crimson-haired child, and an unknown beauty behind him.

At this moment, no one made a sound, yet Eediatt's expression swiftly turned into a grimace, "Shit! There are two of them!? Why is the kid here!? Why is the witch here!? How does he know her, wait, could those other rumours be true!?"

Ignorance was surely an interesting thing. It granted bliss to those it chooses, yet, for others, it could be their first certain destruction.

No one really paid any attention to the child walking in front, but to the beauty behind him.

S-Class Digiums had uniforms that expressed their rank, but rarely, if ever, wore them.

So in place of that, the beauty walking behind Haru wore a stylish top that emphasised her figure. It also couldn't hide the nigh perfect hills that stood erect and the valley that naturally followed such a magnum opus.

Her full lips were a fire red, curved into a gentle smile meant to steal souls of men. Ebony hair that rivalled the blackest night and mirrored the most graceful waterfall as it cascaded down to the small of her back.

Each step was elegant as her perfectly displayed legs were on full display. The tight fitting Capri pants she wore hugged her in all the right places.

Kia stared at her in surprise, "Why does she look so familiar?"

He soon felt a hand on his shoulder, "You know, you don't have to look so hard."

Somehow Gero crept up beside him to join in on the festivities.

"Shut up! It's not like that! Anyway, this is gonna be messy, how am I gonna sort this out!?" Kia asked.

"You don't want anyone to know that your preteen baby brother is a super Genius set to change the way we perceive and access the subconscious mind?"

Kia looked to Gero in shock, "H-How do you-"

Gero held up his Academy Scient as the answer, "We text every now and again…"

"You text my little brother?" Kia stated with a raised brow.

"Okay, wipe the pedophile-ish raised brow look off your face." Gero said, visibly annoyed. "He was the one who messaged me in the first place, he connected with me and Lanzo after he heard we were friends and has been in contact ever since."

"Good to know, I guess," Kia felt it strange and… odd, to be honest, but if that was all there was to it, then it was just whatever.

Haru was walking a bit robotically, he was a little daunted by the multitude of people present, though their attention was elsewhere at the moment, "I don't get it, me and elder sis's Scient locked on to big brother's Scient somewhere around here. So where in the world is-"

Just like that, he saw the colour that was as striking as his own, "B-Big brother!" As he said that, he broke off into a run.

The beauty let out a giggle of her own when she saw this, "He sees his older brother and forgets about this elder sister of his. I'll make sure to punish him later."

The crowd took a while to react when they saw and heard this.

"Wh-What did she just say?"

"Did that tiny kid just say big brother? Wait, why was a little kid in the carrier in the first place?"

"Hey, isn't he going the wrong way? He's heading towards that Red Creep."

"W-Wait, don't tell me…"

The clamour among the crowd rose once more as they stared wide eyed at the proceedings before them.

Soon a fault invisible pressure spread all around, before a voice that rocked the surroundings sounded out.

"I want everyone to disperse RIGHT NOW!"

Even poor Haru who was running nearly tripped over himself in fright.

Everyone looked to the direction of where the voice was coming from to see a stern man who appeared to be in his mid-thirties.

He sported his trademark slim fit dress vest, grey in front and black at the back. His prescription glasses slightly slid along his nose bridge, prompting him to correct it, tet, no one spoke as he did so.

There was only one man capable of this, only one Shepherd could command respect, nay, fear like this from A-Class and S-Class Digiums alike, and that man was Hide Takeshi.

His gaze was piercing, his stature was so Draconian that no one dared to challenge his innate authority.

Beside him stood a purple-haired beauty, who else could it be Siren Vizio, yet no one even bothered to spare her the first glance, so commanding was his character.

"Oh, so you all grew balls today is that it?" He said when he saw everyone frozen.

One of Eediatt's inner circle accomplices, stood out, and hoped to use the S-Class she supported an existence that even Shepherd's pandered to, to shave off some of Takeshi's momentum, "Lo-Lo-Lord Eediatt i-i-is…"

"Girl you better bite your tongue, before I tear it out!" He practically growled at her as he said this.

He came here to find Gero, who he heard had returned to inform him about the peculiarities of this sequence, because he was almost sure that Kia said nothing about it.

"I will say this one last time, barring everyone above S-Class and those that know themselves, DISPERSE!!"

After a while, he heard a voice echo in his mind, "UHM, Takeshi, a little of your pressure leaked out, so they can't move…"

When he heard this, though internally he was a bit embarrassed, he didn't show it. Even Kia and Gero could be seen shaking their heads while looking down.

The moment his pressure receded, it was like an earthquake was triggered as the multitude of Digiums ran!

They didn't care where they were going as long as it wasn't here. Some even cursed themselves for not being able to grow another pair of legs to get away faster.

Soon, the lively scene where a sea of Digiums turned into a place of desolation and trepidation.

Pleased with the outcome, Takeshi's eyes slid to where Eediatt stood, "This is your second strike Eediatt, one more, you get 'one' more."

He stressed the word 'one' to Eediatt, sending a chill down the latter's spine.

After he took a last look around, he turned around, with Vizio in tow, "You're just leaving like that?" She asked, a little confused.

"If they can't even sort this problem out themselves, then they're worthless. What is an S-Class to me? The top of the food chain in what was my place of exile? Please, even trapped here, they held no sway over me."

"What are you going to do now?"

"Well… nothing for now, I guess. We'll wait until the sequence starts, we have roughly two days left."

"I have an idea on what we can do to pass the time."

He stared at her with a gaze of suspicion, "What are you talking abo- Oh… For the love of-"

"That's what we'll be making! Come on, let's go to your mansion!"
