CEO Husband Please Be Refrained

The black Maybach pulled over at the parking lot of a famous western restaurant in Beijing.

Mo Beichen got out of the car and saw Xia Weilan hurried over and held onto his arm.

Mo Beichen was a little uncomfortable because they were leaning too close to each other. However, he didn’t push her away, they walked to the lift with her holding onto his arm.

Xia Weilan kept her head low with a nice looking curve formed on the corner of her lips.

‘Ding’ The door of the lift opened but Xia Weilan had no intention of loosening her grip on him. She walked all the way into the VIP room leaning on his arm.

“You can let go now.” Mo Beichen cleared his throat as he gently withdrew his arm and took a seat.

“Let’s order something.” Mo Beichen stared at the girl across him. He couldn’t help but curled his lips to form a very faint smile.

Xia Weilan lowered her head and slided her delicate finger across the menu and ordered a few dishes.

While Xia Weilan was still burying her head browsing the menu, she suddenly heard a tender voice of saying, “Big Brother, would you like to buy a flower for your girlfriend?”

Xia Weilan lifted her gaze to find a little girl who was around five to six years old wearing a skirt with a basket of flowers hanging around her waist. 

The girl picked up a stalk of rose from the basket and tried selling it to Mo Beichen by talking sweetly to him.

“This lady is so pretty and this stalk of rose really goes well with her. Will big brother buy a flower for her?”

Xia Weilan couldn’t help but let out a gentle expression when she saw the little girl’s cute and delicate face. But Mo Beichen who was seated across remained silent with his cold appearance. 

The little girl was stunned and shifted her gaze to Xia Weilan in embarrassment.

Just as Xia Weilan was about to buy the flower, Mo Beichen suddenly said, “I’ll buy it.”

The little girl immediately smiled happily and quickly passed the flower to Mo Beichen.

Mo Beichen paused for a while and asked, “Do you accept cards?”

‘Chuckle~’ Xia Weilan suddenly let out a chuckle. She quickly took out a fifty dollars note from her wallet and passed it to the little girl.

The little girl took the money and placed it neatly inside her little wallet. She said sweetly to the both of them, “I wish you a lovely evening.”

She then disappeared in an instant.

Mo Beichen stared at the flower in his hand and gifted it to Xia Weilan. “For you.”

The light from the chandelier cast its glow on the dining table. Mo Beichen’s eyes brightened up and even his high nose bridge also reflected some of the light from the chandelier. He looked like a God with a halo who fell into the human world. 

Xia Weilan stared at him blankly but subconsciously accepted the flower from him. Her hand touched his finger and she could sense his warmth.

Mo Beichen’s eyes brightened as felt her soft delicate skin brushing across his palm like a breeze. In a blink of an eye, the flower was already in her delicate hands.

He retrieved his gaze when he felt the emptiness in his hand.

This was the first time in this life that Xia Weilan received a flower from Mo Beichen. She couldn’t hide the amorous feelings inside her and they were flowing from her eyes that sparkled. Mo Beichen stared blankly at her for a few seconds. 

The dinner was even more harmonious than usual. Xia Weilan suddenly stood up and said, “I have to visit the washroom.”

After Xia Weilan left the room, Mo Beichen stared at the stalk of rose. He never expected that Xia Weilan really liked that little stalk of rose.

Xia Weilan walked briskly after leaving the VIP room. She suddenly halted her footsteps when she heard the voice of a little girl crying. She subconsciously walked to the door of the VIP room in front of her and took a peek.

Inside the room, she saw a well-dressed man cursing the little girl who fell on the ground. “Who allowed you to come inside and disturbed my meal. You little brat! You’re asking for trouble, right?”

As the man spoke, he threw the bottle of red wine in his hand toward the girl. Luckily the little girl managed to dodge and she wasn’t hit. The corner of her skirt was soaked with wine and she appeared frightened.

When Xia Weilan saw this, she pushed the door and entered without hesitation. She picked up the little girl from the floor and protected her. 

“Don’t you feel ashamed for bullying a little girl?”

Xia Weilan gave a furious stern at the man. She couldn’t help but felt stunned when she recognized that the man in front of her eyes was a famous male actor while the other man who stood beside the male actor in silence was his manager.

The male actor noticed that Xia Weilan was stunned. He said with arrogance, “Now what? Do you want to put your nose over my matter? It seems like you already recognized me, right?”

Xia Weilan pursed her lips and said coldly, “So what? Even if you are a celebrity, that doesn’t mean you can bully others as you wish! Aren’t you worried about being exposed by the reporters?”

When the manager heard about the word, ‘reporter’, he immediately hesitated. He tugged the male actor’s shirt and said in a whisper, “Let’s forget about this.”

The male actor suddenly shoved the manager away and said angrily, “If you don’t want to work, you can scram!”

“Young master!” The manager immediately lowered his head in worry.

The male actor was the young master of the Cheng family. His family was dealing with the tea business and they were considered a wealthy family. Furthermore, he was a spoilt child. Thus, he was a little ruthless.

Xia Weilan could sense that the little girl was scared and she wanted to leave with the little girl. 

“Hold it!” The male actor frowned and stared at Xia Weilan angrily.

“She needs to stay!”

“Impossible!” Xia Weilan said without showing any weakness.

The male actor took a leap and wanted to drag the little girl over. But he didn’t expect that Xia Weilan suddenly reached her hand and locked his extended arm firmly. He then sensed a powerful force on his arm and he opened his eyes widely in panic. And the next thing he knew, he was thrown on the sofa.

Xia Weilan felt that the male actor was really weak, but she didn’t want to pick up a fight. Thus, she walked out with the little girl. 

“Go get them!” The male actor got up from the sofa embarrassingly and kicked his manager hard. 

The manager wasn’t angry but quickly persuaded him, “Young master, just forget about this. The girl was well-dressed. She must be from a rich family…”

“Shut up!” The male actor didn’t even care about all those. All he knew was that he was stepped all over by a young girl. He took out his phone and made a call. 

“Get me some thugs!”

At the corridor, Xia Weilan escorted the little girl to a safe corner. She then kneeled down and said gently, “Are you alright?” 

The little girl was still sobbing. Her basket was long gone and she looked at Xia Weilan in grief with her frightened eyes. 

“Where’s your house? I’ll send you home.”

“It’s okay. Thank you for saving me.” The little girl calmed down and said in a sensible manner.

“Alright, Let me send you out then.” Xia Weilan was still a bit worried and walked toward the entrance with her.
