CEO Husband Please Be Refrained

In Mo Corp President Office.

Mo Beichen stood in front of the giant floor-to-ceiling window with his hands behind his back. He wore a black coat as if he was wrapped by the cold and desolated night. The twilight from sunset cast its glow on his face through the window, reflecting the cryptic and sly glow from his eyes.

“President Mo, our guys discovered that Gold Hair had appeared near Xia Residence recently. It’s very likely that Gu Yuwei’s brother was hiding there.” Xu Wei bowed as he gave a concise report. 

He paused for a while before he continued, “Aside from that, Gu Yuwei hadn’t turned up for school for two days already. It’s very likely that Young Madam will be looking for her at her house.”

Mo Beichen who had been standing for a long time feeling indifferent lowered his head slightly. He lifted his wrist, exposing a delicate wrist-watch strapped around it. It was five o’clock in the evening and school is about to end for the day.

“President Mo?” Xu Wei, who hadn’t received any orders, couldn’t help but opened his mouth once again. In the end, he stood quietly at one side. 

‘His trails were found near Xia’s Residence?” Mo Beichen was in deep thoughts. He was surrounded by a layer of coldness that was as cold as the cold night. 

“Yes.” Xu Wei couldn’t help but felt a shiver down his spine. A layer of cold sweat formed all over his body. 

“Get someone to keep an eye on Xia Roulin’s movement. I believe we’ll receive our reward very soon.” Mo Beichen turned around and took large strides toward the door.

“President Mo?” Xu Wei quickly followed behind.

Mo Beichen walked toward the elevator and said dully, “We’ll check on Gu Yuwei’s home.”

Xu Wei was astonished and he took a glance at Mo Beichen. They had already arranged for President Mo’s people to guard at Gu Yuwei’s house. 

Since when did President Mo interested need to check on such a small character personally? 

Inside the elevator, something crossed Xu Wei’s mind and he immediately raised his head to stare at Mo Beichen’s grave and stern side profile. His heart suddenly skipped a beat and he quickly lowered his head and pursed his lips to conceal his discovery. 

Is President Mo missing young madam?

Meanwhile,  Xia Weilan and Rui Li were on their way to Gu Yuwei’s house. 

“Sis-in-law, what are you planning to say when you meet Gu Yuwei? Are you going to beat her up?” Rui Li chatted casually while driving.

“I’m not sure yet. But I’m certain that Gu Yuwei has always been a kind-hearted person. Perhaps, I’ll just talk to her calmly.” Xia Weilan’s eyes flashed with hesitation.

The kindhearted Gu Yuwei was sitting on the couch at home right now. She was not as calm as the Iridaceae she usually was. She was winding her fingers tightly and appeared to be worried.

At this moment, the doorbell rang. Gu Yuwei stood up immediately and opened the door. 

The moment she saw who the person was standing outside the door, Gu Yuwei frowned but she immediately loosened them and stared at the guest with her pale face. 

Xia Roulin walked inside confidently and scanned around the surroundings. She let out a cold laugh in disdain.

“Miss Xia, we made a deal last time. You said that you would let my brother go.” Gu Yuwei followed behind her and her voice sounded stiff. It was obvious that she was trying hard to refrain herself. 

“Yes, I did say I’ll let him go. But that would have to wait for a few more days. After all, Xia Weilan escaped last time.” Xia Roulin sat on the couch as she touched her elegant nails unperturbed.

“Miss Xia, please do a good deed. I have no grudge with you, why must you…” Gu Yuwei stood in front of her with tears welling in her bloodshot eyes.

“You are friends with Xia Weilan, so that makes you my enemy.” Xia Roulin suddenly clenched her teeth as she said these words.

Her red phoenix eyes (T/N: eyes whose corners incline upwards) suddenly became bright, radiating with faint coldness.

Gu Yuwei froze. A look of hatred flashed across her eyes. 

“You have to blame yourself for being friends with Xia Weilan. The reason I am here today, is to ask you to do something again. Once you’ve done it, your brother will be coming home in one piece.” Xia Roulin fixed her stare at Gu Yuwei’s trembling hands.

“Are you nervous? Are you scared? That’s no good. A little white rabbit like you is born to be ruled by the stronger ones.” Xia Roulin smiled coldly in disdain.

“What do you want me to do?” Gu Yuwei lowered her eyes and concealed the emotion in her eyes. Her voice was soft and weak. 

“Tomorrow is your school’s safety day. Xia Weilan will be invited to the stage. I want you to come up with a way to humiliate her in front of the entire school. That will be the humiliation of her life.”

“Are you really going to release my brother?” asked Gu Yuwei.

“Of course. There’s no point for me to keep your brother hostage.” Xia Roulin suddenly stood up impatiently. 

She patted the invisible dust on her body and stared at her arrogantly, “So, what do you say?”

At the same time, Mo Beichen was sitting inside a low profile car, monitoring the situation from the surveillance monitor. In the video, Xia Weilan and Rui Li stood in front of Gu Yuwei’s door for a while. Xia Weilan suddenly turned around and walked outside with a dark expression. 

“President Mo, did something provoke young madam? Did she hear something unpleasant from Xia Roulin?” Xu Wei stared at the video anxiously. 

It was a pity that they only placed the camera outside the house, thus they were unable to see what happened inside the house.

“Get someone to continue trailing Xia Roulin.” Mo Beichen suddenly stood up and got out of the car. He stood on the quiet alley.

The road in front of Gu Yuwei’s house was inaccessible by car. Mo Beichen went toward the direction of Xia Weilan and sure enough, he saw Rui Li and Xia Weilan talking about something in the corner. 

Rui Li who was advising on something noticed Mo Beichen. She paused and asked, “Mo-ge, how come you are here too?”

Xia Weilan turned around as she heard Rui Li. She saw Mo Beichen walking toward them like a beast who just came out of the abyss. However, she pouted her lips and resisted the urge to take a step forward. 

 “Are you having fun playing outside?” Mo Biechen’s low and sexy voice was like a gush wind that blew across.

Xia Weilan’s eyelashes trembled and Mo Beichen was already standing in front of her.

Rui Li had already left silently for quite a while. At this instant, they were the only ones left at the narrow alley. 

“Are you spying on me?” Xia Weilan glanced at him angrily. Her expression was like a little kitten who opened its mouth and claws widely and its fur standing. 

A flash gleamed across Mo Beichen’s eyes as he actually thought that she was cute. He placed his hand on her head and caressed, “Are you done being angry?”

“Hmph” said Xia Weilan as she pointed her nose toward the sky. She turned her head around and asked, “Why are you here? You’re not picking up girls at the bar?”

“Get in the car with me.” Mo Beichen took her hand and walked toward the car.

Xia Welan struggled subconsciously before getting in the car. She was still unhappy when she got in. Mo Beichen stepped hard on the accelerator and drove off.

“Where are you bringing me to?” Xia Weilan looked outside the window and realized that they were not on the road to Fairview Imperial Court.
