“What are you thinking? Take off your hand.” Mo Beichen helplessly let out a sigh.

Xia Weilan was stunned for a few seconds, she was still a little uncertain. “Hubby, today I can’t.”

“I know you can’t. I’m not going to sleep with you.” Mo Beichen said dully.

“Then…:” Xia Weilan blushed as if she thought about something. “Be gentle.”

As soon as Xia Weilan took off her hands, Mo Beichen’s big hand that was inside her nightgown started moving. His warm big palm gently moved around her abdomen.

“You tummy is very cold.” Mo Beichen rubbed on her tummy while commenting.

Xia Weilan suddenly felt warm in her heart and immediately realized that she had been thinking of something perverted just now. Mo Beichen only wanted to help her warm up her tummy. 

“I’m prone to cold uterus. Moreover, my hands and feet get cold easily during winter,” explained Xia Weilan. ( T/N: cold uterus” means that the uterine lining has not responded appropriately to the warming hormone (progesterone)

“Tomorrow, I’ll bring you to get some chinese medicine to recondition your body.” Mo Beichen frowned.

Xia Weilan felt her tummy slowly warm up. Initially, it was icy cold, but at this moment, it was warm as if it was bathed by the warm sun.

“It’s getting better now.” Xia Weilan moved her body and wanted to get up from his lap.

Mo Beichen did not force her to stay and loosened his grip.

Xia Weilan walked to the edge of the bed, yawning, “Hubby, your message is so comfortable. It’s so comfortable that it made me sleepy.”

He closed his eyes at ease after he sensed that her tummy was warm.

The next day was A University’s Essay Exam result announcement day.

Xia Weilan scored second place and a lot of people congratulated her. And Gu Yuwei was among the top, she scored first place. However, Gu Yuwei was absent-minded the entire day.

“Are you feeling unwell?” Xia Weilan asked in concern as she sensed that Gu Yuwei was behaving strangely.

Gu Yuwei shifted her eyes and suddenly asked, “Weilan, do you have a brother? I have a brother who has had a good relationship with me since we were small.”

“What a coincidence, I also have a brother. My brother has had a bad temper since small, but he treats me well.” 

Xia Weilan lamented, “My brother is still in a full boarding school. He’s in high school now.”

“That’s such a coincidence.” Gu Yuwei said, “My brother is also in high school.”

“Weilan, can you help me with something?” By the time Gu Yuwei reappeared, she already lost her steadiness and her eyes were already reddened. 

“What’s wrong?” Xia Weilan quickly passed her a tissue.

Gu Yuwei wiped the corner of her eyes while she said urgently, “Actually my brother dropped out from school recently and had been lingering in the bar. Someone called me just now saying that he was drunk in the bar and had spent a lot of money but couldn’t afford to pay for it. The bar wanted me to bring the money over now. Can you…”

“No problem. I can lend you the money first. I’ll go there with you.” Xia weilan said righteously. She called a taxi and hurried to the bar together with Gu Yuwei.

When they got off the car, Xia Weilan halted her footstep as she looked at the building structure of Fuli Imperial City. But she rushed inside without thinking too much. This was the famous expensive entertainment place in Beijing. Gu Yuwei’s brother who is still a highschool student came here?

“Weilan, he’s in this room.” Gu Yuwei’s words interrupted Xia Weilan’s thoughts.

In front of their eyes was a door that was tightly shut. A bunch of colorful beams flowed from the cracks of the door and hot DJ music was heard from inside of the room.

Gu Yuwei who was in front of Xia Weilan reached out her hand to push the door open. The both of them looked inside the room.

They only saw a young man laying at the corner of the room. He was not moving and it seemed that he already passed out from being drunk. And beside that teeneager was a few youth with gold necklaces. They were talking and laughing as they spit out thick smokes. They squinted.

“Yo, you’re here. Did you bring the money? This lad said he wanted to treat us but in the end he couldn’t afford to pay. Haha, he really had some gut.” The guy with the gold necklace said impatient.

“No problem. How much is it? I’ll transfer it to you.” Xia Weilan squinted. 

There were four strong men in front of her. If anything bad happened, she is able to escape. But Gu Yuwei and her brother would not be able to do so. 

The guy with the gold chain took out his phone and threw it on the table.

Xia Weilan walked closer to it and scanned. She asked, “How much are you asking for?”

“Two hundred thousands.”

Xia Weilan blinked and transferred the money without hesitation. She didn’t even notice that Gu Yuwei was already gone and the door was locked.

After Xia Weilan transferred the money, she turned around and said, “Quick, bring your brother out of here.”

But Gu Yuwei was nowhere in sight. Xia Weilan was shocked. She turned around only to find that the teenager who was drunk and unconscious was now standing and looking at her with an arrogant expression.

“Since you are here, there’s no escape for you/” The man with the gold chain ordered and a few guys charged toward Xia Weilan. 

Xia Weilan immediately retreated beside the door and twisted the door knob. She quickly noticed that it was locked.

‘Smash’ Xia Weilan smashed a wine bottle in her hand and yelled at the people who were surrounding her, “Don’t come near me if you don’t want to die.”

The sound of smashing the bottle was loud. However, the sound of the music was even louder. It had totally covered the smashing sound. 

“Big Bro, she had been trained.” The teenager squinted and he could tell from Xia Weilan’s posture that she had some martial art skill. 

“Don’t worry, there’s so many of us here. She won’t be able to get away.” The man with the gold chain took the lead and extended his palm toward Xia Weilan. His palm was powerful and it targeted Xia Weilan’s neck, intending to make a strike on it.

Xia Weilan quickly dodged. She fixed her stare tightly at the man in front of her, looking for his weak point. However, she realized that she could only dodged and it became even challenging to keep up with it.

The others did not make a move but just stood around them, enjoying the actions. Xia Weilan lost focus for a moment and was struck on her shoulder. She instantly fell and leaned on the door.
