Glancing at my phone, I could see that it was my mother calling. I hadn't talked to her in months after I left home. Thinking that it must be something serious, I answered the phone to her frantic voice. "Where are you," she asked. Responding with a "why," she demanded, "just tell me where you are." "I'm at Emilia's place," I stated. "Okay, I'm sending Hunter to come to get you," she said. Immediately I said, "there's no need for that." I definitely didn't need him knowing where I was. She didn't hear what I had to say, or more like she didn't care. Although, it was quite strange that she oh so suddenly became Hunter's fan overnight. I could have sworn she disliked me. What had he'd done to appease her so much, that my hand has been offered in marriage and does father know, I wondered. Does Claire know, I mean she did just steal him away from me, sickeningly it would seem more normal to hear that she'd want to marry him. Then those two lying backstabbing demons could have their happy ever after and let me live in peace. Well barely, I'd still have this huge debt to pay off. It's like one thing after the next. I want my peaceful life to return. But, there's no time to stress over that, my current situation is to cut off the chain that Hunter has me bound to. I need to find a way for him to call off this unagreeable marriage. Honestly, I don't know what to expect when I see him, we didn't leave on the best terms. I shuddered at memories.
