Bossy Man, I'm Not Afraid Of You!!!
Chapter 20 - Episode 20
Looking down at my body, I could see that I was still wearing pajamas, but they didn't belong to me. Whose clothes were these? This isn't what I had on, last night... So does that me that he was the one who changed me... Meaning that he... he saw me n.a.k.e.d. I needed to leave and I needed to leave now. What was wrong with me? I must be over my head. I shouldn't even be looking at him that way, I barely know anything about him and based on his actions, I don't think I should know. Besides I have my own drama to deal with. How in the world am I going to make $800,000, with no job now? And it's not like I could live with Emilia forever. I'd never want to burden her like that, I thought to myself as I crept quietly through his back door. Although it did feel very wrong leaving with things left unsaid, it was better than deluding myself into thinking a new guy was going to make my life any easier. I wasn't going to make the same mistake again. But I couldn't help but wonder who was the man watching last night.
I stepped slowly when I came back to Emilia's place, making sure I wouldn't wake her. In reality, I didn't want her to know that I'd just spent the night at a strangers home. Especially the fact that this stranger was the man next door. My face flushed at the thought of saying that aloud to her. I slipped out of my shoes and began tiptoeing up the stairs. At the top, I started making a break for my room. It was almost like I was keeping a secret from my parents. I quicked locked the door and began rushing to change my clothes. Quickly removing them I realized I was still wearing the same clothes I had on underneath. Guess I really misjudged him again… I lay in bed, fake sleeping for about an hour or so, waiting for Emilia to see if I awoken. But, it seemed that she must have been still sleeping. Getting up, I made my way to her room. With each step I felt a little guilty.
Taking a deep breath, I knocked on her door. With no response, I turned the knob finding that her door was unlocked and she wasn't even home. I had been panicking this whole time for no reason. Though if she wasn't home, I'd wondered when she left out and admittedly, where did she go in the middle of the night. I knew I was being a hypocrite, but based on these few days I wanted to make sure she was okay. Grabbing my phone, I called her. After a few rings it went straight to her voicemail. Moments later a text from her popped up on the screen, saying that she had some urgent business at her dad's company. Getting ready to reply back, my phone started ringing. As I was about to answer, I began to hesitate after seeing who it was.
