Boruto - Naruto Generations

The class proceeded as usual with Sakura day-dreaming about her date with Sasuke and the infinite possibilities that existed to blossom their relationship. An event that would let her triumph over her love rival Ino and the other girls in class that would possibly form a mountain of bodies with Sakura ending up standing on top of Ino at the peak of that mountain of bodies with a winning pose.

("I'm going to be the Ultimate Survivor, Cha!!") Sakura blazed with a battle intent that oozed to the point that it could be noticed by a few people sitting around her, especially Boruto and Sasuke who found it rather unsettling, but had no words to speak on the matter.

Sasuke remained clueless, but had a premonition that it was related to him, meanwhile Boruto on the other hand was well-aware of the situation, but had yet to set the plan in motion.

Ino had definitely kept an eye over her love rival as she also used to steal glances at Sasuke, so she knew something was up and so did Shikamaru as he was concerned over Naruto's changes in the past few days. On the other hand, Chōji was secretly snacking under the desk.

Soon the class got over, and it was break time.

Sakura looked towards Naruto.

"So, how do you plan to do it?" Sakura asked.

"Um… About that…" Boruto stuttered.

"You don't have a plan yet?" Sakura asked, seemingly pissed off as her only once in a lifetime chance was slipping right before her eyes.

"Don't worry, I have something, It may not be a full fledged plan, but it's not like I have nothing to work with either. It's like that question dattebasa," Boruto said.

"What question?" Sakura asked.

"When does a ninja strike?" Boruto asked.

"Oh, That one… A ninja waits until the time is right, When the enemy- "

"Hold it, That's the one. So we have to wait until the time is right," Boruto said.

"Not bad Naruto, So when are we doing this?" Sakura asked.

"You wanna help?" Boruto asked.

"Of Course, this is me we are talking about, Getting me a date with Sasuke," Sakura said.

At this moment a blonde hair which seemed to be part of a ponytail flashed in front of Boruto's face.

"Oh what's this, Billboard here wants to go on a date with Sasuke?" Ino asked.

"Stay out of this Ino-Pig!" Sakura stepped in front of Naruto, preventing Ino from eavesdropping any further.

"Oh well, It's not like it's possible anyways. I'm going to eat, See you later," Ino left the class. .

"Whew" Sakura and Boruto heaved a sigh of relief at the same time.

"So when do you need my help?" Sakura asked.

"Hey Sakura-chan, What do we have for extra-curricular today?" Boruto asked.

"We got Hide and Seek," Sakura said.

The Hide and Seek mentioned here, was pretty similar to usual Hide and Seek, except for the fact that it involved ninjas hiding out in a simulated forest ground, which meant that it was a whole another ball-game to find them, But the game didn't end there as it would continue into a mock battle.

"All right, You'll be in my team, then we decide how to proceed from there," Boruto said.

"Ok," Sakura nodded.

At this moment however, Boruto saw Shikamaru and Chōji leaving the classroom.

"Hey Shikamaru, Chōji, Wait up," Boruto called out.

"Hm?" Shikamaru and Chōji paused, waiting for Boruto at the door.

"All right Sakura-chan, I'll see you later," Boruto said following which he left.

("He does seem different all of a sudden…") Sakura realised seeing Boruto leave along with the two, subconsciously improving her opinion on him.

Outside the class,

"So what are you and Sakura upto?" Shikamaru asked.

"Nothin much yet, Just trying to fix a few things," Boruto said.

"What are you holding?" Chōji asked seeing Boruto bringing along a small white pouch that was probably bound to have an eatable that he might be interested with, considering his exceptional ability to sense probably food items around him.

"Oh this, is my lunch, and I've got a bit for you and Shikamaru as well," Boruto said.

"Oh?" Chōji's interest was piqued.

Soon the trio arrived at a casual hang-out spot around the academy, which Shikamaru and Chōji probably frequented to.

"Open-up," Chōji asked, seemingly asking with authority as well.

"Wait just a minute," Boruto said as he took out one burger for himself, setting aside one for Shikamaru and two for Chōji.

"Eat-up," Boruto gestured, following which he opened a paper wrap which was around the burger.

"This is…" Chōji's eyes gleamed causing Shikamaru to also re-evaulate the food-item in his hand.

"Itadakimasu!" The trio said, following which they took a massive chomp out of their respective Burger.

"DELICIOUS!!" Chõji shouted.

"I know right?" Boruto smiled as he chewed on his burger.

"This is actually good stuff," Shikamaru praised the burger, after having visited most food places with Chōji, he was quite aware of most food and would probably not be as shocked unless he came across something that he had never seen or tasted before.

"What is it called?" Chōji asked.

"It's Hamburger, It's something I came up with," Boruto lied on the spot.

"Wait, I might have heard of it near the land of lightning," Chōji said all of a sudden.

"Impossible," Boruto shook his head, as he knew it would be years before it came into existence.

"The ingredients are plain and simple to ȧssemble, The secret mostly lies in the Meat substance in the middle and how all the textures come together to deliver the final blow. It's simply a well put together food." Chōji praised.

"Ah, yeah…" Boruto continued to accept the praises coming his way.

"Boruto, You don't know how important this thing is to Chōji do you?" Shikamaru asked.

"Eh?" Boruto looked over only to see Chōji staring at him with an intense gaze.

"I'm thankful to you for having me experience this food," Chōji bowed towards Boruto.

"Ah It's ok," Boruto felt bad for pretending to invent the Burger.

"If you have any problem, you can count on me to put everything on the line," Chōji said.

"…" Boruto was feeling heavily under pressure.

Shikamaru on the other hand was silent, as he couldn't read through Boruto's expression. However, he could feel that it probably wasn't Boruto's idea to begin with. Regardless, They would deal with it down in the future if it ever became a problem.

"So, you went to the Library right?" Shikamaru asked.

"Yeah…" Boruto answered without hesitation.

"Say, Shikamaru, Do you know what exactly happened at that time?" Boruto asked.

"…"

"It was a huge news back then, probably many people of our age didn't know the significance of the new from back then…" Shikamaru said, after all who in their right mind could actually comprehend the destruction of the village's most strongest clan. There were so many mysteries behind it, in particular, rumours of a supposed Coup-d'état.

"So you know who ended them right?" Boruto asked.

"Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke's Brother right?" Shikamaru was straight to the point.

("It really was Uncle Itachi…") Boruto sighed internally.

"Do you know anything about him?" Boruto asked.

"Not particularly, except for the fact that he hold's the second highest record in the History of the Ninja Academy."

"Oh, then who was the first?" Boruto asked.

"The Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato," Chōji said as he munched on his second Burger.

("Oh, Grandpa's pretty good,") Boruto thought.

"Nothing else huh?" Boruto asked.

"Nope, All though there is something that bugs me," Shikamaru said all of a sudden.

"What's that?" Boruto asked.

"I did remember Sasuke was particularly cheerful before that event happened, in fact he used to admire his brother a lot," Shikamaru said.

"That is strange," Boruto nodded.

("There's definitely something going on in here, Even in the future Uncle Sasuke doesn't seem to hate his brother, and only mentioned him once…") Boruto thought.

"But what's the point of digging the past, It's just all the more troublesome to deal with… Even talking about it is a drag…" Shikamaru sighed.

"You're the same as always…" Boruto said as he chomped on the last piece of his burger.

"All right, Time to head back. Oh Yeah, Shikamaru, Chōji, wanna team up for Hide and Seek today?" Boruto asked.

"Don't count on me Naruto, I'd rather get out at first chance and take a nice afternoon nap until the game is over," Shikamaru said.

"All right, I'll still have to make preparations, but be prepared just in case I need you for something. I have something planned for the Hide and Seek game today," Boruto said.

"That sounds like a drag… But count me in I guess…" Shikamaru said following which the trio left for the academy.

Soon afternoon class was over and it was finally time for Hide and Seek.

Iruka came into the class and led everyone to the Hidden Leaf's Second Battleground

The Hidden Leaf's Second Battleground was battleground like the Zeroth battleground, a forest which was a wild life reserve but in this case it was just a forest for training.

"Everyone split into groups," Iruka-sensei said, following which all the people in the class were scrambling around for teammates.

"Me and Akamaru are capable of tracking down everyone in the forest so we don't need a team," Kiba said.

"Damned cheater, even if Akamaru is a ninja hound and is permitted in battle as a ninja tool, you need to be able to find us out by yourself," A few people reacted to Kiba's taunt.

"Yeah right, Ninjas need to be well equipped for a battle they are about to head into. If you are not able to prepare against me and Akamaru, then your preparations are lacking," Kiba argued.

"…" The other side had no words to say.

Meanwhile,

"Sasuke-kyun!" A few girls surrounded, Sasuke.

"Hey, can we be a part of your team?" The girls asked.

"Hmph, I work alone. The rest of you will only be a burden," Sasuke said, leaving the girls cold, yet they shamelessly only looked upon him favourably.

"Sasuke!" At this moment a voice called out.

"Hm?" Sasuke turned towards the direction of the voice only to see Naruto staring at him with a few others along his side.

"What is it?" Sasuke asked.

"Don't you know Teamwork and Perseverance is essential to a Ninja?" Boruto asked.

"Teamwork and Perseverance? You speak as if you are capable of both," Sasuke said, however as soon as he said those words, he saw Sakura appear behind Naruto, bringing about an inexplicable feeling.

"That I'll let you witness firsthand," Boruto said.

"Hmph, Doesn't matter, they'll only slow me down anyways," Sasuke said.

"Then you wouldn't mind if I'm to suggest a competition right?" Boruto asked.

"Hmph, Though You've failed in other areas, you are pretty average in this game. What do you suggest?" Sasuke asked.

"Very simple, Winner can ask the other to do something that they cannot say no to, and obviously the request will be as reasonable as possible," Boruto said.

At this moment Sakura's eyes couldn't be more lively.
