Chapter 6 - South Lekki School

Kwanda had studied til midnight before going to bed he had a big day ahead. The admission test for tomorrow should be easy enough since he meets the minimum power level to be accepted.

"The Wicth hunters guide philosophical different in its approach to magic. It taught that one should not learn any magic before condensing all the focal points." [Robuut is the best].

The typical method is to study one type of magic until one is an adept enough to condense a focal point in that kind of magic.

Then add another as time went on. One could either specialise by further condensing in the same magic. Or spread it out amongst multiple types. That is if one could most people could have a main focus and a support focus. His school had students who were cream above the most. An institution of young power houses.

Once this is done the crown must be developed. The technique taught in the book, details that ones crown[mind] is where all magic is moves through before exiting the body. The power of mind to control and amplify magic is secong to none. Weapons and equipment are nothing in comparison to a fully developed crown.

Kwanda saw the spells that he had to learn to form the base of the crown. Each was in an element of nature. By observing nature and communing with it one can achieve power.

The spells themselves were not hard, he just needed practice. His God given ability meant that he could skip the memorizing and move to the its application.

The morning he had just finished getting ready when Wendy said that she had to a look at him. She fixed his collar rubbed his checks and declared he would be a handsome man one day.

On the way to school he asked about what he had gleened from the book. He was closest to being able to cast a wind cut. He had seen how the air moves. How it can destroy.

Wendy smacked him on the top of his head. "The best magic is like a knife in the dark, that one never sees coming. Only showing its self when it is too late. That is how you should think about. Flashy mages often die young, never let them see all your powers. You can ask your sisters about that when they get back tomorrow from the school trip."

"As final year students at Lekki they should have some tips for you."

"Okay," the conversation had obviously moved to a serious topic however, as they had arrived at the school. This is where it ended for now.

Headmaster Dinga had been waiting for the both of them. The admission at this level is not very strict however, the school still needed to do a small test. The test was for Kwanda to walk through a room. After which he was placed in class 1 A.

A normal person would start struggling the closer they get to the door. The door was made of a material that is neutralized by mana. So basically the more mana you have the better you do.

Class 1 A, teacher Pando, "this is Kwanda please give him a warm welcome."

Everyone greeted him. "In the class there are only 36 seats as per the rules of the school Richard Van de kloppen, you are demoted to class 1 B."

Kwanda took a deep breath in, "what kind of school does this to young children."

The school he was thinking about is actually the only school, in the region that qualifies people to go to kings college an elite college for the most talented on the continent.

Only other way was to win, one of the tournaments that happen every five years. This allowed for hermit apprentices and those who may have extraordinary circ.u.mstances that prevents them going through normal schooling system.

Richard Van De Kloppen is the nephew of a certain hospital director. [haha lol]. His father had married into the Van De Kloppen clan that was on the decline. So Richard had an air of superiority. Even if he was not the best in the class, because of his birth he thought himself as the best. It could be said he was quite charming and had a small possi.

So Kwanda on his first day had offended about one third of the boy in class. The class this year had for the first time, in over 30 years more boys than girls. According to his test results he was in the front row. The door test also tests willpower because the pain the door causes those in the first row, were either strong or mentally solid.

The classes would be basic spellcrafting. Potions making and the various creatures of the world and of martial arts. He was seated

In the front row which had the students with the most potential.

The front row had 6 seats 4 girls 2 boys, they formed the leaders of the class and would have extra responsibilities. The student would have many test to go through and they start the moment they enter school everyday.

They other boy in the front row is Daniel Chetty, a boy who had for the most earned his way in.

The other way of course is a recommendation letter.

Lunch time arrived as a relief, it had been a long time since he had been that unchallenged. However as Ms. Pando explained "going over the basics does not hurt at all they should pay attention to what she says, least they miss something not in the book."

The sharp like Kwanda paid closer attention but for the most part they were unchallenged by the course material.

Richard was yelling while walking towards Kwanda. Kwanda did not even realize until the fool pushed him interupting his conversation with Diana Jordan currently number 1 in the class. As he turned around Richard and as support a bunch of extras.

Kwanda turned around and dumbstruck by Richard actions. Richard accused him of stealing his spot. "That he must have paid his way in or something especially coming in the middle of semester. What kind bribe did he have to."

"I should teach you a lesson or you might try something like this in the future. You must know there are consequences to your actions."[Richard]
