From the time she was born, she has been having excessive bleeding even when the wound was small.

After cleaning the wound, he looked at her face.

Her face was still bright but her calm eyes were filled with tears. His heart ached for her. It was not her fault yet she was getting punished.

He cleared his throat to gain a grip on his emotions. His tender face was now back to it's expressionless.

"Stop crying, you look ugly. Not that you are beautiful, anyway."

He commented as he got up to sit next to her.

She sniffled a laugh and wiped the tears that were threatening to fall.

A beautiful silence fell between them. They could hear birds chirping as the wind blew gently.

The sky was getting dark as the sun had started to set. The couple sat there silently, observing the caretakers and the patients walking around.

Children were playing around with toys. A few were trying to catch butterflies in the garden.

'How nice it would be to remain as kids forever. Their life seems to be happier than ours.'

Rachel thought as she saw them running around, cheerfully.

The time went by very soon and it was already 7 pm. From the time she had left the ward, her mother had not come to see her nor had she called. She badly wanted to be with her, cry on her shoulders but she knew things had changed.

She just hoped for them to be safe.

She suddenly remembered something.

"Where's Jane? You said she will come to the hospital?"

Aaron who was also lost in thoughts was jolted back.

"I met her on the way, she reached a long time back. I guess, she's in the room."

He replied as a matter-of-fact.

Rachel was so happy that she thought she was hearing things.

'For real? Jane is back safe and sound! Thank god!'

But her happiness died in the next second. Jane had come to the hospital and had met Aaron but she didn't come to see Rachel.

Rachel mocked herself.

'Why would she come to see me? I am the reason for her kidnap, why would she see me? As long as she's safe, I'm fine with it. Yeah,'

Aaron saw her expression changing from happiness to downhearted. He knew exactly how she was feeling. He spoke casually, attempting to lift her mood.

"I should say, the girl has got some attitude. She didn't thank me for helping her, you know?"

He made a face as though he was hurt.

Rachel smiled a little as she saw his expression.

"She has a temper but she's a sweet girl."

She spoke like a mother in a warm tone. Aaron's face brightened a little but he continued with his act.

"Young girls sure have some temper, throwing a tantrum for everything."

Rachel laughed out loud as she heard him. He was behaving like an old pitiful man.

"Sigh, how will I raise my daughter in the future?"

Excuse me, what?

Rachel's laughter stopped suddenly as she heard him. Her mouth twitched.

Before the atmosphere could get heated up, a ball came rolling in their direction. Aaron picked it up just as a boy came running.

"Uncle, can you please pass the ball back?"

Aaron: "....?"

A few seconds later, Rachel burst out laughing hard. She clutched her stomach in pain while laughing.

Tha kid addressed Aaron as uncle? Just in time when she had thought of him as an old man?

The boy saw the uncle who was still holding the ball in his hands, tightly. He thought that he would not get his ball back and so, he pleaded.

"Sister, please, pass the ball back. It's my favorite one."

Pffff!

Aaron who heard that was now burning with rage.

What the f*ck?

He was an uncle but she was a sister? How? How in the world did he become an uncle when he was just two years older than her?

'This kid's eyesight must have gone bad!

The kid saw Aaron's expression and got scared. He was on the verge of tears. He sniffled as well.

Rachel, who was laughing hard, tried to control herself and spoke to Aaron.

"Uncle, give him the ball back, otherwise the kid will start crying. You shouldn't bully children."

She spoke in between her laughs. Clearly, she was teasing him!

How dare she! He had tried to lift her mood and all he got back was a tease?

He managed to smile a bit as he gave the ball. He didn't forget to warn the kid while gritting his teeth.

"I'm not an uncle, call me brother-in-law."

The kid was about to pass out in fear.

"Th-thank you, brother-in-law."

The kid ran away from there as if his life was at stake.

Rachel was speechless!

Can he be any more pitiful?

"Tsk, tsk, uncle, you shouldn't bully kids like that."

She continued to tease him. But instead of getting pissed, Aaron smiled slyly.

"I shouldn't bully kids? Mm, that means, I can bully you, right? Say, do you want to be my sugar baby? Mm?"

Rachel: "...?!"

Did she call him an uncle? Hah, then he wouldn't mind being her sugar daddy!
