Chapter 81 - 81: The unexpected turn of events.(6)

Rachel cleared her throat and tried to move back but, Aaron wrapped his hand around her waist before pulling her back to his c.h.e.s.t.

"What are you doing?"

He eyed her carefully, bent down to whisper in her ears.

"Your staff is looking at us."

Her eyes widened in horror. She indeed saw a few lady staff and two reporters watching them out of the corner of her eyes.

"What do we do?"

She panicked like a thief who had got caught red-handed.

He was speechless.

"We are married, not sneaking around for god's sake! You are my wife, act like one!"

A look of great realization passed on Rachel's face! That's right! They are legally married!

She tried to smile at him but her smile was too stiff.

He rolled his eyes at her.

With her acting skills, they would get caught for sure! It was time for him to take it in his own hands.

He grunted before pecking her lips. He gave a seductive smile and said loudly,

"Have patience, wifey. Let me close the door first."

He strode towards the door and closed it with a loud bang!

Outside, people got stunned! They were trying to sneak around the cabin for gossip and now, it looked like they had got exposed.

"They... closed the door. Why?"

One of the female staff asked the other in a shaky voice.

"Will... Will they do it? In the office?"

Just then a piercing sound was heard from inside of the office. It was Rachel who shouted.

"Ahhh!"

"..."

"Oh my goodness! They are so romantic! They are definitely doing!"

"I envy her so much, Mr. Lee is so tall and handsome!"

"Sigh, all we can do is to drool over them. They are busy but, we have work, let's go."

The people left the floor to go to their respective departments.

Inside the cabin, Rachel was fuming mad!

"Why the hell did you pinch me?"

The guy had the guts to pinch her waist, hard! It was so painful, okay?

Aaron rubbed his nose to avoid eye-contact. It wasn't his fault if she was simply clueless about everything.

"Don't you want to see your father?"

He changed the topic purposefully and, she fell for his trap.

"Of course, I should go to the hospital. But, before that, you said Jane is safe. Where is she now? I want to see her!"

"Let's go to the hospital first, she will be escorted there directly."

She nodded then remembered something!

"Show me the marriage certificates! How in the world did you make it look like it was issued one week back? You were bluffing, right?"

He scoffed and took out the certificate but didn't allow her to touch it.

She squinted her eyes and indeed saw the date that was one week back. How? Although they didn't go to the civil office personally, they signed the form today!

Aaron had told her that he could get someone to collect the certificates with just their signs. And, he really did it but, why would they agree to alter the dates?

Before she could grab the certificate, he took it back before carefully keeping it in his blazer pocket.

He looked suspicious!

"Anyways, why are you making me look like a fraud? I'm your husband!"

His ears were bright red! He touched his diamond stud to cover it up. That was something he would do whenever he tried to cover up his lies and, thankfully, Rachel didn't know this!

"How can I believe you when you lie so easily? What? We are not only married but engaged as well? And, Darren is like my brother? Huh, please, he's my finace!"

She raised her voice at the end.

"What did you just say?"

He narrowed his eyes dangerously! A look of disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e passed in his eyes.

"What? Am I wrong?"

She held her chin high! She can't get intimidated by him!

He bent his head to her level, gritting his teeth.

"Do you want me to remind you to whom you belong? Hm?"

He slowly traced his hand by her side. It sent shivers down her spine.

"Alright, alright, I was wrong! I was wrong!"

She pushed his hand away. This guy was too much!

Aaron was not satisfied with her answer but they didn't have much time to waste. They had important things to take care of.

"Good, let's go!"
