Inside the hospital,

Jane entered with a damp face. Tears were still rolling onto her cheeks. In a pink squashy dress, with hair sticking onto the side of the face, she looked even more pitiful. Seeing her in a distressing state, everyone's heart broke.

Kenly approached her, stood next to her while patting her back. His heart was aching to see her in that state. After all, she was the young mistress of his boss's family. She was a pitiful child.

"What did the doctor say?"

He asked after making sure that she was not sobbing anymore. Jane wiped her tears and replied,

"They said it was a mild heart attack and that stress might have been the reason. Dad is under 24 hours of observation."

She hiccuped.

"Alright, everything will be fine."

He turned around to look for Rachel, but he couldn't find her.

"Where is Rachel?" He frowned.

Jane clenched her hand upon hearing Rachel's name. Her face turned hard with anger.

"She left."

One could guess from her tone itself that something must have happened.

"To where?"

This time, it was Crysta who questioned.

"I don't know!"

Jane almost shouted. Then, she saw all the astonished faces and took a deep breath. Their concern towards Rachel triggered her anger even more.

"I don't know where she went and I don't care, alright? She was the one who almost caused my father to lose his life and now, she is facing the consequences. She left for good!"

Jane gritted her teeth as she remembered their earlier conversation. Her sister was the source of everything that happened.

Hearing her words, everyone got stunned. They were so stunned that they couldn't speak a single word. They couldn't believe that the sweet, harmless Jane who loved her sister to the core to speak with disgust about her. What exactly happened?

"Jane, tell us what happened!"

Crysta spoke with a warning. How could she tolerate when someone was belittling her best friend?

"What is there to tell? Don't you all know what happened back in the banquet hall? Did you not see those photos? Because of it, dad got hurt, and his stress increased. She is the sole reason for dad's heart attack!"

"What nonsense are you spouting? How is Rachel's fault? Someone must have done it to create a mess."

"Hah, please, don't turn a blind eye on her just because she is your friend. Don't you know that one hand cannot clap? Nothing would have happened without her consent. No man can cross the limits unless women allow it. Hah, she was with another man while we all thought she was innocent to get engaged to the person showed by the family."

"Shut up, will you? You are speaking without considering Rachel's feelings! Do you even know that she agreed to get re-married because that would make your parents happy? She was ready to bury her old feelings for your family's sake. She has never forgotten the love of your family, and she will never forget it in the future."

Jane scoffed hearing Crysta's words.

"You are telling that she got engaged to Darren for my parents' happiness? Then why was she with Aaron even after getting engaged? For her happiness?"

Crysta lost her temper and lunged forward, ready to throttle Jane's neck.

Just in time, the door opened and the nurse came out.

"What is going on here? This is not your home to behave as you wish. No more than one person should stay here. Everyone else should leave!"

'Gosh, they all look like well-educated people but, here they are, fighting like hooligans. Sigh! Rich people are indeed different.' The nurse rolled her eyes before leaving.

Jane stood there and Kenly went out to call Gabriel.

Alan was too stunned seeing Jane's behavior. He waited for someone to speak up first.

Ren went up to her and hugged her.

Jane sobbed, even more, burying in a familiar embrace.

"I know you are afraid of your father's health condition. But, do you think what you did was correct? You were not there personally to understand your sister's situation. You shouldn't have accused her. You disappointed me, Jane."

Though he spoke softly like he was coaxing a child, Jane knew he was mad. Her friend was disappointed in her! He was not a man with many words, to begin with. But he had spoken so much today.

'Why? Just to support Rachel? But is he not my friend? Shouldn't he be here for me and to support me?'

She wanted to laugh. Of course, they wouldn't know how she felt. She had lost her beloved brother, and now, if anything had happened to her father, what was she supposed to do? What about her mother?

No one cared about her feelings. But as for Rachel? Yes, they all were worried.
