An Inevitable Fate?

It was evening, the guests had started to arrive, one by one. A red carpet along with camera flashes welcomed them. As the guests made their way towards the hall, reporters had started their work. They interviewed all the famous businessmen and officials.

"Hello, Mr. Peter, what would you like to say at this moment?" One of the reporters asked Peter, a known businessman.

"I'm glad that I am one of the partners of this company. Otherwise, I would have missed this grand event." He joked.

"What would you like to add, Mr. Walmart?"

"Mr. Stein never fails!"

Just like this, they asked questions for everyone. At that time, a black Mercedes Benze made its way towards the entrance. Everyone turned towards the car and waited for the person to get down.

Colin got down along with his daughter, Jane. She held his arm and both walked on the red carpet. Jane looked like a little princess in that pink gown. Her makeup was light which complimented her skin. Her hair was braided sideways making her look like a barbie doll.

Both the father-daughter duo were whispering to each other which looked harmonious to the onlookers. But in reality,

"Don't you dare create trouble today, understand? I'm not going to clean up your mess!" Colin whispered, all the way smiling.

"You also! Don't create trouble by going after other ladies. Mom has sent me to spy on you. Worry about yourself, dad." She smiled, looking as innocent as possible.

"Are you really my daughter?!" He couldn't believe that his own daughter would spy on him.

"Oh my god, you are doubting mom?" She exclaimed.

"You brat!" He regretted bringing her.

"Haha, dad smile!" Colin forced his smile for the cameras.

As they reached the hall, reporters stormed towards them.

"Mr. Collin, speak a few words for us! "

"Mr. Collin, what would you like to tell about the event?"

The reporters started to ask various questions. Colin smiled and spoke,

"I would like to thank everyone for making this event successful. The year-end banquets show that we have climbed one more step towards success. When I say success, it not only means fame but also hard work, persistence, and commitment. The willpower changes everyone and everything. I believe, that willpower has led us to today's event."

One of the young reporters asked,

"Would you like to introduce your partner?"

Colin laughed when he heard the question. Nevertheless, he spoke,

"Sure. Let me introduce my daughter, Jane. This is her first time attending our company banquet. If she causes any trouble, please be understanding. Jane, say hello to them." He urged his daughter who was now glaring at him.

"Hello, nice to meet you all." Her voice was so sweet that they could never hear the curses coming out of her mouth.

"Isn't she beautiful?" Colin asked the young reporter with a grin. The reporter's ears turned red as he blushed. Jane rolled her eyes.

Sure, her dad was taking revenge on her.

Before they could ask further, a grey Porsche entered the venue. A tall figure emerged from the car. Next to him, a woman got down and linked her arm with his. They both made their way towards the entrance.

Everyone was wondering who the couple could be as the couple reached, where Colin was standing.

"Hello uncle," The man greeted Colin respectfully.

"Aaron, good that you have come!" Colin couldn't hide his happiness when he saw Aaron.

"How can I not come when uncle personally invited me? Of course, I should come!" Aaron spoke with a smile.

"Haha, good, good!" Colin patted Aaron's back which showed their closeness.

Taking this as the cue, reporters started asking questions again. They were curious to know the person who was very friendly with Colin. So much so that Colin had personally invited!

"Can we ask who the person is?" Reporters questioned.

"Of course, this is Mr. Lee Aaron, the CEO of Lee industries and also a grandson of my dearest uncle. I'm very fond of him. Right young man?"

Colin said proudly. He didn't know why but he liked him a lot.

"Yes, uncle. I hope uncle continues to like me in the future as well!" Aaron grinned. He very much needed Colin's fondness.

"Haha, right. You aren't alone today." Colin pointed to the woman who was standing quietly next to Aaron.

"She is Ms. Sarah Paul, my secretary." He introduced them.

"Nice to meet you, sir." She nodded politely.

"You can call me Colin." He extended his hand.

She smiled as she shook his hand.

Jane narrowed her eyes and thought,

'Colin? You want her to call you Colin? Wow, mom was serious when she warned you, dad!'

An eye-catching red Lamborghini stopped in front of the entrance. Darren got down and held his hand out for the other person.

Rachel slowly took his hand and got down from the car.
