An Inevitable Fate?

"You may leave now." Aaron turned his back and stood in his previous position.

Kelvin turned to leave with his head hung low. But all of a sudden, a figure dashed inside the room without knocking. Seeing the person, Kelvin's eyes went wide.

"Mr. Alan?"

Alan was panting hard. He had run like an athlete to meet the unfilial brother of his, after the brief encounter with Mike. He just nodded to Kelvin.

"Is there any problem sir?" Kelvin asked worriedly. Why has this fellow come?

"Indeed, there is a problem. I have to settle scores with your boss." Hmph! His brother was too much.

"Oh-okay. I will leave now." He slid out of the situation. Puff!

Aaron was still standing, gazing outside. His aloofness infuriated Alan even more.

"Why did you do that?"

"What?" Aaron finally turned to face him.

Seeing the innocent look on Aaron's face, Alan got more agitated. Pretentious guy!

"Don't act. Tell me, why Mike?"

Aaron unhurriedly walked and sat on the chair, resting his chin on his right hand.

"Why not?" His reply almost made Alan spit out a mouthful of blood. 'What did I even expect?'

"Bro!" Alan gritted his teeth.

Finally, the sinless look in Aaron's eyes got replaced with coldness.

"He is the perfect guy to guide you. He is a lot m.a.t.u.r.e than you. Work with him." He spoke in his authoritative voice.

"Never. I don't want anyone's support." Alan glared at his brother.

Aaron nodded his head seeming to understand Alan's thoughts. Alan felt relief seeing this. But before he could enjoy the moment, Aaron put a bomb on him.

"I will ask the financial department to retrieve the amount being invested in your studio. Be independent."

After saying this, he bent his head to read a few files present on his desk.

Alan was tongue-tied. But still, he continued.

"What has that got to do with me rejecting Mike?"

"It's up to you to decide the contract." Alan was speechless. This guy! This guy was blackmailing him.

No matter what, Alan could not defeat his brother's cunning nature. He took a deep breath.

"Fine!" After uttering his 'willingness', he strode out of the room.

Inside the office, Aaron broke into a crafty smile. He would not mind using any method to make this idiot to follow his words. Anyways, it was for his good.

Aaron concentrated on reading and time went by quickly. It was already time for the meeting. Kelvin entered after knocking.

"Sir, everyone has come."

Aaron closed the file and stood up to retrieve his coat from the hanger. After adjusting his black tie, he walked out with kelvin following him closely behind.

Inside the meeting room, all the directors and the shareholders were present. They were informed about the appointment of the new CEO by their chairman just three days ago. Except for this, they didn't have any other details about this person. It was a decision taken without consulting them. Though they could not show their dissatisfaction with the sudden arrangements, they had to oblige due to their respect towards the chairman.

"I heard, that person is related to our chairman. He knows our chairman personally it seems."

One of the directors initiated the gossip. Soon, others started to follow this fellow.

"Ah, is that so? So only, he has got the CEO's position. Otherwise, how can anyone climb directly to that seat? He must have used underhand methods to get the chairman on his side."

"True. How else can he step into the Lee industries? Despite having large shares and power, we are not able to rule this company. Hmph! I want to see which old hag dared to get into this company through the back door."

"We shall see, how our new CEO rules. Hah" They mocked their new CEO as they believed, one could not last long without skills in this company.

Suddenly, the door to the meeting room got opened and a man walked inside with the big steps. He had zero expression on his face. The aloof and nonchalant attitude of his stunned everyone. Seeing the young man in the clad suit, made them open their mouth wide. Who could this young lad be?

Seeing their stupefied faces, Kelvin cleared his throat before speaking.

"Good morning, this is Mr. Lee Aaron, our new CEO." Saying this, he shifted to his side.

Aaron stood in front of the round table and spoke.

"Nice to meet you all." He swept a cold glance across the room. All he could see were the cunning old foxes.

The people present in the room, stood rooted in their positions. They could not believe their eyes. How can this young flamboyant become the CEO of the Lee industries just like that? Can anyone tell what's happening here?
