A Second Life

After All Might's not so normal entrance and some fanfare, the man announced that he would be instructing them the Foundations of Heroics. Nobody knew how tense the man was. So much that he declared the battle immediately.

[I shouldn't take this lightly...it has a ton of credits afterall…]

The whole(mostly) class was thrilled when they heard about the battle. Bakugou was all riled up and Midoriya was unsettled.

The surprise wasn't done yet: the battle gear. The costumes were essentially the symbol of heroes. They get to wear them for the first time. The students were now thoroughly eager.

Sumire took her case which held her costume and went to the girls' locker room. She quickly changed into her outfit. It was nothing extraordinary. She designed the costume with 'practicality' as the core theme.

It was black bodysuit with gray detailing on the front, a belt and had many sheaths. All of them were equipped with tiny blades, daggers, etc. All well hidden and blended with the suit. Apart from for one. It was kodachi on her back, but that too was concealed behind her lush black hair.

(Her costume is almost similar to Black Widow's in the Endgame. Just add a kodachi on the back and holsters having many blades instead stun batons. In addition, she has some poison stored in her belt but that's for the emergency only.)

Once more, all the girls were surprised to find Sumire gone.

"Azumi-san changes very quickly, doesn't she?" Ochaco nervously said.

The rest didn't say a thing and went ahead with changing.

All of them were done and headed out.

There, they located Sumire. Staring fixedly at All Might.

[I feel something off from him… what might it be?]

All of them were checking out their outfits… Sumire's was the plainest. Well, if you didn't notice the hidden arsenal.

Nearly everyone turned up except for certain green broccoli.

[He must be developing plans to destroy everyone I suppose… I must not underestimate him at all.]

Yes, Sumire has a clear idea of what everyone can do. She simply liked being prepared.

Midoriya arrived too. All Might's face twitched a bit when he saw the boy trying to imitate him…

All Might was fl.u.s.tered. Each student asked a question to him all at the same moment.

"Ahem…" Sumire just to cough a bit and let out the slightest bit of spiritual pressure to make everyone calm.

All Might shot a grateful look towards her for which she smiled calmly in return. He hastily explained the battle and its rules…

The teams were,

A: Midoriya and Uraraka

B: Todoroki and Shouji

C: Mineta and Yaoyorozu

D: Bakugou and Azumi

E: Aoyama and Ashido

F: Koda and Iida

G: Jiro and Kaminari

H: Asui and Tokoyami

I: Ojiro and Hagakure

J: Kirishima and Sero

All the teams stood together. Sumire and Bakugou nodded to each other, a form of recognition.

All Might drew the lots

It was A vs D. B vs I. Etc...

Team A and D looked at each other. No words amidst a battle.

Another round of explanations and the trial of Indoor Battle starts.

Sumire and Bakugou were both in the building with a pseudo nuclear weapon.

Both just stared at each other.

[Why should I always be the first one to start talking?]

"Bakugou-kun, you definitely don't plan on capturing Midoriya-kun, do you?"

"..."

"Would you like listening to me?"

"..."

"I'll take it as a yes then…"

"..."

"The other day, you said Midoriya-kun didn't possess a quirk, right?"

"...You believe that?"

"I do and I don't. I have my own theories I'm working on."

"Go ahead."

"Not right now. I'll tell you later. There's something more urgent right now."

"Like?"

"The Battle, I Need to Win it."

"You think I'LL LOSE TO DEKU!!!"

"Chill out! Would you ever let me finish first?"

"...Tch."

"You and Midoriya-kun attended the same Junior High."

"Yeah, so what about it?"

"You didn't know he had a quirk. But he has complete knowledge of your quirk."

"That doesn't change a thing. I'll mangle that damn nerd."

"Well, he isn't the same person you know anymore. For once listen to me. I have a strategy."

"..."

"There's no use glaring at me. The 'hero' team would be here by now. I'll let you deal with Midoriya-kun if you agree to go according to the plan."

"Tell me about it then."

"Arigato. The plan is… You get it?"

"Hell yeah!"

"I'll trust you with this. Don't lose your cool. Now go!"

[Even though I can just finish this in a moment… That'll be too much I guess.]

Hence, Sumire decided to try teamwork, even if the other person seems to be caught up with personal matters and might do something very rash…

Midoriya and Uraraka entered the building. They were searching for the villains. But they didn't have to, because Bakugou set an ambush for them.

'As expected, Kacchan came straight at me.' Midoriya thought.

Without any delay, he dodged Bakugou who waylaid them.

Bakugou was shaken. And then incensed.

'Damn, he managed to dodge me!' he was vexed.

But there was more to it.

Deku flipped him. Him, to the ground.

"Wow! Just like an expert!" Uraraka was full of awe at how the broccoli dealt with the porcupine…

And Midoriya made a really inspiring speech… about how he is not the same anymore and all that…

But that only helped in enraging Bakugou further.

This is a proof that Midoriya is an expert in the psychological attacks or Bakugou is easily provoked. Both might be true.

'Damn Deku! He… read me like a book!' Bakugou thought. Anger was devouring him. He just wanted to beat the crap out of this piece of shit and nothing else. So he decided to make a big blast and end him. He was about to, but a voice in his mind interrupted.

He was calm for second.

He continued listening to that voice…It takes him back to when Sumire gave an explanation of the plan.

'Midoriya-kun… he knows close to everything about you. He can read you like a book. But then, you didn't even know he had a quirk till yesterday.'

'That doesn't change anything. I'll still be able to beat him.'

'I have no doubt about that. You would be able to defeat him. But we both might necessarily win.'

'What the hell is that supposed to mean?'

'Midoriya-kun and Uraraka-san. I would be able to deal with them in a minute. You know that very well.'

'...'

'So are you. But I don't think we both might be able to win this test for sure. We have odds against us as I don't want to reveal my full powers, yet.'

'...Fine, what do you want me to do?'

'I want you to ambush them.'

'Isn't that what I wanted to do?'

'You wanted to ambush Midoriya-kun to presumably kill him and would completely overlook Uraraka-san in the process.'

'...' she was right.

'I might be able to stop her but her quirk is too unpredictable.'

'She won't have a chance against you.'

'Like I said, I don't want to stand out too much…'

'...tsk.'

'You deal with Midoriya-kun and I'll take care of Uraraka-san. Only on one condition.'

'What is it?'

'When things go like I said, I mean, when Midoriya-kun outwits you-'

'Like that'll ever happen!'

'IF, that happens, you follow my advice.'

'Yeah, yeah.'

Bakugou recalled the deal between them.

And he was finally snapped.

"Damn you Deku!" He started assaulting them.

'...Do something you would never do.' Sumire's words rang inside his head.

Midoriya was ready to defend. But he never would've anticipated what Bakugou did next. Bakugou attacked, yes. But not Midoriya. It was Uraraka.

As mentioned before, Midoriya never thought Kacchan would look at anybody else when he was in front of him. He felt betrayed. (just kidding)

And Uraraka probably was just enjoying the show with zero awareness and paid for it. The blast was mild though it looked grave. It only left her with some grazes.

"Uraraka-san!" Midoriya quickly dashed towards her.

"I'm alright Deku-kun!" She assured him she was alright.

*BOOM*

'Control yourself from destroying the entire building. It would be mortifying if we lose our own stronghold.'

Bakugou didn't allow them any time to chat.

'Don't give Midoriya-kun a moment to think... Whether you like it or not, he is damn good strategist.'

He didn't stop the aggro.

"Uraraka-san! Please go ahead without me! I'll hold him back!"

Uraraka nodded and quickly went away. Bakugou 'tried' stopping her.

'Midoriya-kun can make you go blind from anger. I don't understand why you cannot do that as well.'

"Kacchan! Fight Me!"

'The moment he is enraged, he would come fight you with all he has, just like you want. So till then, be patient.'

"If that's what you want you damn nerd!"

Midoriya came with his utmost strength and Bakugou did the same.

A single punch from each of them and the victor was decided.

[Thank goodness I placed a barrier. Otherwise the victim would've been more than just Midoriya-kun's broken arm.]

Sumire walked towards Bakugou who was out of breath. She was carrying an unconscious Uraraka with her.

"I guess it's done. Are you okay?"

"Yeah."

.

"All Might-san, We captured the hero team. I guess it is our victory. And Midoriya-kun needs an immediate first aid. I think his arm is fractured."

Sumire said it aloud. All Might's back to earth again.

"AHEM. I ANNOUNCE: THE VILLAIN TEAM WINS."

"See, we won and you also got your little issues settled."

"Heh. Whatever, I've beat the crap out of him either way."

"Sigh… Bakugou-kun, you have an over-inflated ego along with your confidence. You need to tame it up."

"Shut up, you control freak."

"How rude of you."

"But that's the truth, you freak."

"Freak huh, I guess that's valid in a sense."

"Tsk."
