A Curious Case Of Mobs Extra

I woke up the next day when the dawn just breaking. I walk out from my shelter and climb the hill where my shelter's located. I spend the whole dawn watching the sunrise on top of the hill in silence. The experience was indescribable. Even in this world, the nature is and always will be something greater than the individuals.

I climb down the hill after a morning sun's ray can be seen on the horizon. Today is the day of my first real hunt, the hunt that I'm truly prepared and committed to complete. Because of that, I decide to have a rabbit burger as a breakfast to award myself. It took a whole evening yesterday to prepare all the ingredients and grounded the rabbit meat. I choose to compliment the rabbit meat patty with cheese, tomatoes, lettuces, some pickles and sunny side up eggs. Using all the ingredients in front of me, I finished several serving enough for me to eat for lunch and dinners too. I also cooked some mash potatoes and some black paper gravies as a set to eat with the burgers.

I put the patty on an iron cast pan which has been lace with butter and keeps flipping the patty for every five minutes to avoid it from burning and ruins the party. While I am grilling the patty, I suddenly feel like being watched by someone or something. Holding on with Yukino's advice, I push down hard my nervous feeling about being watched by the unknown entities. I force myself to act calm and act like nothing happened but with an exception, plotting my way toward where I placed my wand before I start cooking my breakfast.

It took some maneuvering, but I conjured four mana balls instantly when I reach for my wand. No matter how much you try to teach yourself to act calm in all scenarios, you will allow some concession if you somehow greeted by a six feet tall white wolf. It doubles by the way if somehow that wolf can speak fluently using human language.

"I want what you made, kid." said the wolf with a gruff voice. The voice sounds weird, it is somehow a mixes between a gruff and a growling sound. Something forced and unnatural. "It's an order, not a request."

"Sir, Yes Sir," I answered and complied with what he wants. I proceed too grilled several more patty with haste and without showing a sign of disobeying a little bit. It is better for him to full by eating burgers not by eating me. In ten minutes flat, I finish grilling five burgers and serve it on a large plank.

"Sir, the food is ready sir," I informed the giant wolf about the food he ordered.

He smells the burgers and eats all of them in one bite. Even the plank got destroyed from the bite even though the plank is almost a four-inch-thick. I found the planks on the small patch of wood nearby and planned to make it into a table after returning homes.

"Passable," Declared the giant wolf, I don't know why, but I feel like a giant relief on me after he said his approval. "Do you know who I am, kid?"

"No, sir. I'm sorry sir."

"I'm Lord Snow, a Direlord wolf. Familiar with Frostborne clan. My master asked me to meet you to explain what happened to her. She can't meet you right now because she somewhat stuck on another dimension with her two other teammates. So she asked for you to survived on your own for now and stay careful when hunting and run toward senior Memphis when in danger. If this crisis comes to past, she will give you the book and the rest of the volume and please be caref...damn, woman! I said enough. I'm a war familiar, not some messenger." The wolf explained the reason for his arrivals with quite reluctance. "Fine, I'll do it. She said that this dungeon probably will take around a month at least for them to complete. So stay safe or Master Shizuka will get her head from leaving you without supervisors."

The few last things he said are quite weird. Can Yukino communicate directly using the dire wolf? "Lord Snow, can you talk with Senior Yukino?" I asked the dire wolf knowing he might take some offense about it.

"I'm not gonna be your messenger too kid." he deflected regarding the real question. Seem to me he can do it, but too prideful to do it. Yukino probably needs to bribe or blackmail the familiar to do this kind of demeaning job for her.

"I can give you another ten burgers if you help me talk to Senior Yukino."

"Yes, I can. What do you want to say." Confessed Lord Snow about his abilities to talk with his master telepathically.

"Can you ask her if they have enough supplies to last for more than a month? Like drinking water, salt, sugar or some basic hygiene product?"

"Yes they have some of those things, but not enough for three people usage. Only the guy name Hikiguya brings all of those things you said." Replied the wolf after a brief of silence. Probably spending sometimes explaining and waiting for Yukino replies.

"Can you bring those to them if I give those supplies to you? I asked the wolf about his circ.u.mstance of arriving here. Did Yukino summon him in the dungeon and sending him here or he came from the Frostborne clan compound. If the former scenario, then the will be some loopholes for Lord snow to transferred himself here. Maybe he can bring some supplies to them too.

"Yes, as long as the item is six-inch wide in size. The dungeon seems to have an opening because of something I don't know."

"Can you ask Senior Yukino if she need anything else other than some basic supplies?" I said. "As long as the items are on me, I can give it to them."

Then start the weirdest event ever happened in my life. I was sitting down in front of a six-foot-tall direwolf and start to write down the items that Yukino and the gang needs. The list is quite long, after some skimming, I can see some of them are quite impossible for me to find unless I order it on intranet. I should do that, maybe asked for delivery since I don't have any flying items for me to ride. Even if I have it, my mana is still abysmal to drive it casually.

"Tell them I can order some of those on intranet. It will take sometimes even with a rush delivery charge. How long do the holes last?"

"Don't know, probably only until the days are over. A hole like that doesn't last long. The dungeon core will realize the flaw in its defense sooner or later. Better for you to make it as fast as possible."

I order the items as fast as I can. With the money I promise for the fastest delivery possible, one of the sellers promise me to send all those items in an hour. All of the supplies and hygiene pack for two healthy young women will be stored on a dimensional pocket of six-inch-wide. I throw several c.o.n.d.o.ms on the orders too as a joke for those trios. Who knows, stuck in a dungeon for more than two months probably will spark some unknown d.e.s.i.r.e among them. Two beautiful girls and a healthy young man will lead to anything. Better safe than sorry. Good luck Hikiguya, may the force of harem be with you.

I also ordered some of my supplies along with their supplies too. From my experience doing the work yesterday, I know personally how hard is to make some ground meat. The sheer effort to chops the meat into a paste-like substance took a lot of effort on my part. From separating the meat from the bone, and grounding the meat, all of those uses quite a lot of effort. So, I decided to make my life easier by buying that device. The next step is to ask the giant wolf for some help.

"Lord Snow," I called for the giant wolf which seems to lazing around under the nearby tree.

"Is it ready?" He asked.

"Not yet, I need to ask some favors from you."

"Huff...twenty burgers for each favor. If only an easy one, I'll do it.

"About that, I want to make some burgers for those trios and maybe for you too. So, can you catch around five rabbits for me to make some patty?"

"Wait here," he said then disappears from my view without much of a sound.

It took Lord Snow five minutes to kill five normal horned rabbits and one wind variant horned rabbit. Our differences in power are so overwhelming, it made me feels small compared toward all of the heavy hitters of this world. It made me realized I am far from being someone that mattered in this world. The sheer effort I need to put up is double or triples even more with my status as an extra.

I start to slaughter the rabbits and asked for Lord Snow help in draining their blood. The skinning for the horned rabbits is more complicated from their counterpart ion the old earth. Since the horned rabbits bigger in size and several times heavier too, the process of skinning the fur can be a little similar to how the skinning process is done with a smaller goat or sheep. Separating fur from the meat part is still easy. I don't even need to use a skinning knife. Just pulling the skin apart by hand is enough to separate the skin from the meat.

When the skinning process is done. The supplies which I ordered arrived. What shocked me was, these times the delivery guys decided to use airdrop to deliver the package. They use a turboprop fighter jet similar from the nineties. The package is dropped from the air complete with crate and the parachutes. What is wrong with the world, how random can someone be to delivered a package with a fighter plane. Forget about it, for now, I need to separate my supplies from theirs. What I ordered is not many, but plenty enough that I need to check the list which item belongs to whom. It took several minutes, but it is done. What I bought is mostly a condiment in cooking, vegetables, seasonings, some fishing gear, a small grill and something for my drinking habits. My Achilles heels, tea, and coffee. Some people choose one of the others, but not for me, I need those two to live a normal life. Each of their own.

When I finished putting all the supplies including some c.o.n.d.o.ms for Hikiguya in a small dimensional pocket, I restarted my patty making process. The hand-powered meat grinder does its job perfectly. I spend about an hour to complete all the grinding process one more time to create the nice consistencies that I'm looking for a patty. I throw some salt, some seasoning, some finely diced vegetables such as mushrooms and carrots, and some spice to make it a perfect patty like I did before. I throw several blocks of butter for an additional taste. All that left is to make a fist-size balls and flattened it to make a delicious horned rabbits patty. I separated the horned rabbit's wind variant patty from the normal one since the tasted for each of those will be quite different.

I pack all of those patties into four containers. The first containers are the patty for those trios, the second is for Lord Snow, the third container is for me and the last one is the wind variant horned rabbit.

"It is done, Lord Snow," I announced. "I need to ask you for another favor though."

"Speak kid. You give me all those burgers for free. So I will do the favor for free too."

"Can you say something to Senior Yukino and senior Yui out loud? in front of everyone after you pass the supplies?

"Sure, what is it?"

I proceed to whispers the words to Lord Snow for him to pass both of my seniors. As I said before, my goal in this life is to be a mob extra character with benefits. Meaning I will be a forever extra character but with some of the main character benefits. I also the person who breaks the plot armor and cliche novel tropes. So I will do my intended job to break Hikiguya harem cliche by pointing the obvious. By informing both Yukino and Yui the basic fact about the law of this world, the sect and possibly all over Marra. The fact is having marriages is not illegal. You can have multiples spouses whether you a men or women. If you have the ability and the capability, finding an additional partner is allowed. I also asked all three of them to set aside their interest and conflict, act together as a team to clear the dungeon. Also, to bring me some souvenirs from the dungeons after they clear it.

I can see from here the madly and terrifying grins from a six-foot height wolf, he also agrees with me about revealing that basic fact onto the trios. The life of those three probably will not be the same again after hearing them. It is needed because even Yukino and Yui seem to work together just fine, the chemistry and synergy just not exist between both of them. It doubles when Hikiguya is involved. By removing some underlying reason for the conflict, maybe they will set aside their other interests and be a great team.

Suddenly, Lord Snow transforms into a smaller version of himself. Right now, he turned into almost the size of a small fox. I hang the dimensional pocket on his neck and he flew away rushing toward the dungeon entrance. I sincerely hope for the best towards the trio and their safe passages.

Times are already reaching mid-evening. I don't think I have times to do the hunt anymore, but I am gonna try it regardless. I also plan to head toward the pond for some simple easy target. Maybe I can bring some fishing gear I just bought if the is no prey found during my treck.

I found a lone rabbit near the pond drinking some water. I decided to test the effectiveness of my spells after three days of continuous training. I conjured four mana balls and aims them toward the rabbits head. The rabbits detect the mana balls as soon as they arrive near its vicinity. With its reflex, the rabbit jump to avoid and dodge the mana balls, but two out of four balls exploded on the rabbit body and slightly injuring it. The rabbit charge it spells to attack me, but I know from experience, it will take some time, around a second longer to charge the spell. Long enough for me to release two rapid-fire mana ball spells and run out from two-meter radius of the estimated projectile impact area. One of the mana balls reach the rabbit head and disrupt the charging process. I stop my dodging and spamming another three mana balls and attack the rabbit with it as soon as possibles. I keep the rhythm of attack several more times, dodging the projectile if needed, and using the rapid-fire spell to overwhelm the rabbit and finally, I killed it. The encounters feel like an hour-long fight, but the fact is, it only took just several minutes, ten at most.

When the fight ends, I feel so tired and exhausted. My whole bodies ache and I decided to forgo my fishing trip and returning to the shelters. I guess all of those training is not gone to waste. I know I not supposed to feel this proud for only successfully hunted the second-most weak mobs monster in this fantasy world. But, this is my life, and I proud of what I have done and I achieve the necessary milestone in staying alive in this treacherous world.
