Finding the shelters seem easy enough. Since the plains and the hills always use by horned rabbits as habitats, the hills are full of holes and cave systems. I found one of the holes to be bigger than the most and seems to be abandoned by their previous occupants.

I don't know for sure if the hole is fully abandoned but I got the feeling is been long left like that. I don't care about that, to be honest, all I know is my whole body is hurting. This is the first time I feel too tired to do anything. I need the rest, and my instinct told me that there are no animals has been here for quite some time. So I pop up a mana gathering pills and closed my eyes to have some rest. I recalled somehow the mana gathering pill can also act as an ad hoc healing pill if there is no healing pill around. My first hunt ended with a quite embarrassing tale, I hope there is no one around to see it.

I woke up the next day when I smell a nice aroma wafting outside the hole I choose to make my shelters. I walk outside limping but feeling a lot better from last night. As a precaution, I already wield my wand ready to attack anything that seems to be threatening. Even the only spell I know is the mana ball spell, I still can barrage the spells like I do yesterday, at least I died trying.

When I arrive at the mouth of the hole, I saw Yukino sitting in front of the hole while grilling a horned rabbit. This one was easily two-three times bigger than what I fought yesterday.

"By the way, last night can be considered your first death." Said Yukino with her usual talking tone, a nonchalant and unconcern tone. "You should feel lucky since the rabbit was a wind variant. I always want to taste a wind variant horned rabbit."

It took me several moments to finally catch up with what Yukino trying to say. I guess I was wrong last night, this hole is certainly not abandoned. I probably will die if Yukino decides not to interfere with it. "Thanks for saving me. Let me help you as thanks."

I move toward the carcass and take out some utensils to cook other things to compliment the roast rabbit meat. Yukino moves aside indicating for her permission to do what I seem the best to have as breakfast. I take out a pile of firewood, condiments, utensils and some spice to re-roast the carcass.

By the look of it, she just put it on the fire. My s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e nose picks up the aroma indicating that meat will be delicious enough even she roast it n.a.k.e.d like that. I took the carcass away from the fire and rubs some salt, spices and herbs to made the rabbits taste more delicious. I took away some firewood from the roast pit made by Yukino to slow the heat down then I put the rabbit back and starts to roast the rabbit again but this time with a proper way of doing it.

I created two more fire pit, one bigger than the other. I took a large pot and fill it with water and some salt to boils the noodles then put it on the bigger fire pit. I plan to make some broth to eats with the noodles and the roast rabbit. For, another smaller fire pit, I put a large steel mug and boiled some water to make us some coffee or tea. Better to asked Yukino which one she prefer.

"Coffee or tea?" I asked breaking the silence. I went to prepared the broth ingredients such as garlic, shallot, chilies, a ground rabbit meat (I took out the rabbit I killed last night, cut a chunk of its meat and chop it into ground meat), and some vegetables. The issues of a plant can't be stored in a dimensional item is not arises because only a fully complete plant can't be stored on the dimensional item. My blue cat eyes grass need to be dried complete with their root system and so does most of the herbs used to made pills, so they can't be stored in the dimensional item but the vegetables can because we bought it without roots, or for carrot, onions or potatoes, those are without leaves.

It takes some times but Yukino finally choose coffee but she brought out a jar of chocolate powders to mix it into the coffee. I accept the chocolate and start to mix the ground coffee into a steel mug which already started to boiled.

I started to stir-fried all the broth ingredients to make a base seasoning. After a while, a nice spicy aroma wafting through the air indicating the seasoning is cooked. I add some water and some thickening agent to make the broth thicker. I add some vegetables and wait for the broth to boils before serving. Adjusting the saltiness and the seasoning, I serve the noodles and pour the broth into the bowl and serve it.

One of the advantages of mana in this world is most of the meat for magical beast and monsters becoming quite delicious and easy to tenderized. Cooking time for the meat cut short and the meat tenderized easily. The roast cooked not long after the broth and noodles completed. I slice some of the meat and put it in the bowl completing a simple broth noodle with roasted rabbit for breakfast.

I pass one of the bowl and a pair of chopstick to Yukino and also took one for my own. I made sure to prepare the broth and the noodles more than enough for us to have extras and for us to keep eating it for another time.

"How is it? I asked Yukino for her honest comment about what I just prepared.

"It's good, it's delicious even with simple ingredients and short preparations time. Very compliment with the roasted rabbit. I like it." She answered.

"Thanks for the compliment and thanks for saving me last night."

"I watch your first fight last night." Yukino suddenly brought up the issues about the fight.

"Urghh...You did? It is embarrassing. I never heard someone injured like me fighting a normal horned rabbit."

"Yeah, it is bad. But not bad enough, people are dying from underestimating the rabbits. Let this be your lessons, never underestimate monsters and magical beast. Did you know what you did wrong last night?"

"I panicked," I admitted. "When I got thrown by the blast, I panicked and lose my focus on what to do."

"Yes, not only that. You ignored the possibilities of attacking using another method. Like using the dagger strap behind your back for example. Then you spam the mana ball and attacking the rabbits disregards the accuracy. Mana ball is the most basic spell for cultivators, conjuring, and aiming the mana balls must become second nature for cultivators. I will limit you for one hunt per day, spend the rest of the day increases your accuracy for mana ball spell. Work that out until you can conjure and fire the mana less than a second. Only one hunt near the evening, the rest spend on meditation and spell practice. Do you understand me?"

"Yes, Senior Yukino," I answered her question. I guess my first estimate in staying here for a week is quite far off. Let's extend the time table up to two weeks to prepare for some unknown disaster which Hikiguya will cause for his development. I'm not 100% certain the catastrophe will happen, but usually, the plot will move during this kind of outing. During training incursions when the training becoming than training exercise. Maybe knowing what happened to Hikiguya last night will allow me to predict more clearly what will happen in the future. "Senior, how did Hikiguya do?"

"He failed to kill even one, when he panics as you did. Yui panic too, she interferes too early. I called off his hunt and ordered both them to find shelters. Don't know what happened after that, I came to check on you right after. I found you fall asleep and that wind variant horned rabbit approaching. So I stay here until you wake up." Yukino explained.

"Thanks again for saving me, Senior Yukino. You can go see them if you that worried. I can take care of myself. Just gave me some pointers about how to increase my accuracy then I will practice like there is no tomorrow." I said about what I feel regarding Yukino staying with me. I can clearly saw the worry on her face about Hikiguya.

"Really?" quarried Yukino about what I said just now.

"Yes, as long as I can get some pointers, I can train myself on my own. You don't need to watch me all the time." I assured.

"Then, I'll take my leave after finishing this," she replied while slurping the broth noodles with roasted horned rabbit prepared by me.

"Do you have extra containers? Why don't you pack up some broth and noodles for both of them, maybe some more for you too."

Yukino then proceed to eat the noodles as fast as she can and took out three wooden bento box. She start to fill the bento box with broth and noodles for Hikiguya, Yui and her. I take the rabbit from the roast pit and horizontally cut the rabbit in half. It was a hard process until after Yukino start to help me cutting the rabbit. She keep the rabbit another half in her dimensional storage and waves her hand to take out the flying carpet. She jumps on the carpet and said. "Here take those, read them and return to me after this training exercise complete. I'll came back after three days," she said while throwing three books beside me. She leaves not long after.

Those three books spinning and floating beside me because of some unknown magic. Since I'm still not finished eating the noodles and I even plan to have a second serving. I just read the titles while the books still spinning and floating. The first book called "Basic household spells, be a smart housewife and capture your husband heart. (under 15 version)". What, like cleaning and washing clothes spells? The second book titled "Mana controlled exercise, first volume of twelve" and lastly, "Basic body strengthening, warrior path".

From the second book lend by Yukino, the book suggested that I just do a volume training to make the act of conjuring and aiming the mana balls became second nature. I literally facepalming my self after reading that book. Most of the exercises are logical and easy to think of if we want to increase our mana control. Increasing mana control means an increase in accuracy since the aiming process for spells uses mana control.

I brought out another firewood stump and place it around 5 meters from where I stand. I choose to train not far from my shelters since I decided to make the shelters my permanent shelters during this training exercise. Skimming from the book titles, I found out that I don't need to find a water source anymore. The household spell listed a water summoning spell for drinking and cleaning use. So, adding my water stockpiles that can be used for another three days if I'm careful, I'm confident I can master the summoning spell in three days.

For now, I want to focus on increasing my spell's accuracy. If the book said just increase the casting quantity, that is what I will do. So, sacrificing some firewood is on my chore list for the day. I will hold my hunting off for three days until I master some basic accuracy and mastering water summoning spell for my future well being.

By the look of Hikiguya's condition, I think I will get around a month of training time before whatever novel Hikiguya came from kickoff that novel plot bunnies. I know I'm being paranoid about it, but mark my word, Yukino will not show up after three days and I'll stranded on this island for at least a month.

So be it. Lei family and my business scheme already run like a clockwork. Everything already becoming routine, we have around two and a half months left for the scheme D-Day date. So, I'm quite safe to be here for a maximum of two months. Hope all that bullshit plot bunnies will revolve only around one and half month time.

One thing the book never said is, the base accuracy for newbie cultivators are abysmal. Even if the stump is standing five-meter in front of me, not moving one bit, my mana ball attack only strikes for around one every twenty mana balls. Even so, some of them only scratch the wood stump. I wish I'm in a tv show instead of in the novels. If I currently in tv shows, I probably will get to train using the legendary training montage. Instead, what I get is a normal boring spell spamming. Even if the writer use time skips, I still need to physically do the training myself.

So, start what I called the most boring three days of my life. The only positive aspect about it is, I can change the training routines for another spell, the household spells. I blow away the expectation about the household spells. Those spells are so easy to learn, I keep learning some new spells other than water summoning.

There are cleaning spells (clothes, house, dust, wet stain), insect repellent spell, pest repellent (each pest type has their owns spell), leftover decomposing spell, warm water spell, fire starter spell, breeze making spell, air conditioning spell and many more. There are hundreds of them and I felt quite entertaining to learn all of that. Changing the mana balls spamming with a household chore spells every fifteen minutes is what I found best. For every one hour, I meditate and start the mana gathering technique taught by Teacher Shizuka. In those quarters of an hour, I still can push my magic to do the best I can and at the same time, keeping myself from being too bored doing the same thing over and over again.

Grinding in real life is not fun at all. No matter what those people wrote in their wish-fulfilling novel, enjoying the grinding process or doing one thing over and over again for a long time is not easy at all. Even if magic is involved, when you do the same thing over again it is still a mind-numbing activity.

Past the first day, I can spam mana ball every second. For the second day, it increases around two to three mana balls every second and by the end of the second day, the mana balls spamming reach three for every second. The amount keep unchanged and plateaued at three round per second. After the third day, the accuracy for the mana balls attacks keep increasing instead.

The morning before breakfast, my accuracy count is three to four round reaching the target but came noon, the mana balls that strike true came about six to seven mana balls. At the end of the day, the official count for mana balls that steadily strike accurate enough to count is around nine to ten attacks per twenty.

After a very mind-numbing three days, I finally feel confident to hunt the horned rabbit. The second most basic mobs on any fantasy stories after the slime. Be it novels or animes, main characters always portray to easily kills horned rabbits. Wake up people, horned rabbits in the real fantasy world is basically a small handheld cannon. Capable of attacking with projectile that can cause shockwave and shrapnel for around two-meter radius. They are more deadly than a robber with a gun. If you scared when someone with a gun robbing you, you should be ten times more scared if you're hunting rabbits that capable of using a small canon size projectile to attack its enemies.

I decided to sleep early tonight because, tomorrow morning, I will hunt my first real magical beast. My first real hunt and my first real kill. I have decided to purge my first hunt and my lucky kill during day zero. I will make tomorrow as my first official hunt and tomorrow is where I will tell others about my first kills. However, my real first kill will never be forgotten.

Tomorrow will also mark my first fake "prophecy" about Hikiguya plot bunnies. If my prediction is correct and Yukino doesn't show up. Then I better be prepared for what's coming. If not, I planned to end this training as fast as I can. I miss my Chinese stove and my chickens. They grow up in just a week and just starting to lay eggs too. I miss them.

There are several events or plot bunnies that can happened. For example beast tides, or a cheap but somewhat skilled assassins, just enough for three of them to work together and killed him or her. Or finding ancient ruins but deadly, it forced them to work together forming a foundation for a synergetic adventuring team in the future.

If the genre is a tragedy, one of them will sacrifice himself or herself forming a tortured love life between the two which left behind. But that scenario is probably a bit far-fetched since all three of them are the main characters. So no dying for the time being, unless the author is a certain overweight old man with a bushy beard with a fetish of killing all his main characters like flies in a certain never-ending hiatus of 100 thousand words novel telling stories about an iron chair.

I should stop having this hyperactive imagination. No point in speculating something that not happen yet. For all I know, they probably enjoying sleeping close contact with each other using the cold night as an excuse to sleep hugging one another. Yukino probably the one will propose the idea, then Yui will force the idea until Hikiguya accepts them even though tonight is quite warm by this world standard. Okay, I'm 100% sure that will happened, no doubt.

What a life for the main character, two heir of a prominent clan, both clan has a history of being done some modification until both of their family DNA changes forming the clans of elves. Already fall head over heels toward him aka Hikiguya. Plus with both of them have untold histories among them. The plot is filled with all the cliche settings that feel so cringy and made me feel like the plot is coming from fanfic, not from the original novel.

Here I am, laying on the hole made by a huge and tasty horned rabbit thinking about other people's love life. Where is my love, my muse, my heart, my Teacher Shizuka? You should already accept my love declaration and my confession. Age is just a number for cultivators. For us, the hent...I mean doujinshi lovers, a hot teacher is forever. A hot teacher and tsundere. Yandere just go away, you're scary unless you're hot. No! wait, even if you're hot, don't come. Yandere is still scary.

I should get to sleep. Wait! I just realize that I only trained the accuracy for five-meter distance. I'm screwed!
