Wu Fa dropped onto bed and stared at the ceiling. He informed his family that he was feeling unwell and requested that his dinner be served directly to his room. As he stared at his meat and bread, he sighed out a long, depressed sigh. He missed rice, seafood, and proper spicing such as hot oil. The evening drew to a close as night began. Soon, everyone in the house had fallen asleep except for the guards. Wu Fa silently drew out the bag the beggar had given him and opened it.

Wu Fa cringed as he read the second technique's name. The two scrolls where both cultivation techniques which were currently useless to him. The fifth was "Wiz's 101 Advanced Spells Every Mage Should Know." Wu Fa tossed all these to the side as they were also useless to him.

The next item he pulled out was a ring. Attached to the ring was a little note that said "Instructions: this is a space ring. You can store a bunch of stuff in it and take them out at will. Organic compounds won't decay in the space ring." Wu Fa put on the ring and tried it out. With a simple thought, he transferred two books into it. Then he transferred them back out again. "Nice! This is really useful!" he thought.

He pulled out a seventh item from the bag. It was a pair of contact lenses. He plopped them on without hesitation.
