Zombie King Opens a Restaurant in Her Last Days

Fu Cao asked calmly, but deep inside her heart was bleeding.

“A while ago, the price was reduced a little, and now it’s three hundred and thirty yuan per gram.”

Three hundred three hundred and thirty grams? Fu Cao took in a deep breath. Thinking about how much gold her space would be consuming….the vortex prompted, swirling a little more. 

Fu Cao soon understood the sign of recognition by that rift inside the jade artifact. Five hundred grams of gold was enough!

“One hundred grams, ten gram per bar is good.” Three hundred and thirty thousand, Fu Cao took a deep breath again, to stop herself from feeling distressed and panicked .

However, she still bought ten, so as to avoid a sudden situation where she might be left with no  gold and to prevent herself from getting in a predicament.

After paying the money, Fu Cao left the store carrying ten gold bars with a heavy heart. As soon as she thought of shifting the gold bars, they moved inside her space, while the vortex  swallowed five gold bars, and  disappeared altogether.

Whilst, those remaining five were placed inside the cabinet.

After returning to the villa and placing  the empty box somewhere inside , Fu Cao came out again. She remembered that Long gege  seemed to have mentioned   the human base in City D.

At that time she listened ignorantly, nonetheless now that she knew that City D was her hometown.  The  previous Chaoyang base should be a city not far from City D.

Brother Long was the first person she had saved in her previous life after regaining a little bit of sanity.

The base was a university situated there, with high walls and a power grid. Alongside four leading gates in southeast and northwest.

Fu Cao turned around the school for a while, and saw a restaurant with a fairly decent exterior near the entrance of the school. She  immediately smiled and called the person in contact in order to  prepare for  renting it.

The storefronts around the school were undoubtedly very expensive.

The rented storefront plus the decoration and the like, Fu Cao’s savings  all got used. But on the bright side she now basically had everything she needed ready .

For example, liquefied gas.

After Fu Cao threw the facade to the renovation  company, she cast it aside in the back of her head. She laid back  on the sofa and sighed quietly: “If only I had a fire based-psychic power, I wouldn’t have to buy so much liquefied gas …”

But on second thought , water is also very important.

It would be better if she could use all the five elements together, which of course was  daydreaming.

Slowly time passed little by little, and by the day before September 1st, the restaurant had been completely renovated. Giving off a towering feeling   accompanied by an  exquisite sign that hung at the doorway.

An Exclusive restaurant.

On September 1st, the freshman reported to their respective universities. The stores around the university were mostly filled with all kinds of snacks; the business was booming due to the fledgling crowd, but the restaurant closest to the east gate of the school was the only one that was surprisingly closed on this day.

The bosses around laughed secretly, who was this naive foolish darling ah!? Who didn’t know that on the first day of school, no matter how bad the business is, it would still be very popular, yet this store hasn’t opened its door?

Fu Cao, the naive darling owner of the exclusive restaurant, who was not aware of the sweet thoughts others had~, was still lying in bed and rolling.

September 1, the day when the end arrived …

The past few days the weather had taken a dramatic turn; the pitiless rain fell without break all throughout the day. On September 1st, the darkness shifted as the sky blazed blue, while the sun hung high like a yellow inferno as if examining the land.

Due to it’s oppressive presence that almost sapped energy out of everything, as though it wanted the land to be desiccated from every pore, water vapours began to rise, the ground smoldered and sent up a disorienting haze.

Upon opening the refrigerator, Fu Cao took the meat out of the freezer to defrost. Hah……this was the remaining last piece of frozen meat. Fortunately, the small animals in the space had grown up, even having little cubs to boot.

Now the amount of animals in the space had doubled.

Glancing around the space, she mused, the vegetables and rice didn’t look that brittle anymore. Fu Cao by no means had any intention to go out now; today, would be the start of doomsday.

She was determined to stay at home for a period of time, obviously, not for too long, just half a month.

In half a month, there would be ample universities that become the original bases since the start of doomsday.

On the bus, Chen Meijia complained to her mother: “It’s too hot today. Why is there no air conditioning on the bus? It’s so hot … who suggested travelling by bus. . “

With that said, she sullenly took a tissue out of her bag and wiped the sweat on her forehead. But as soon as she saw a touch of yellow appear on the white wipes, Chen Meijia’s face stiffened.

A single swipe wiped off all the powder on her face!? She became even more depressed and sent a resentful glare at her new found enemy.

“Okay, Meijia, don’t get angry, you’ll soon reach your school.” Chen Mika’s mother coaxed her pouting daughter.

When the weather is hot, it could be really upsetting. The youthful fire in Chen Meijia’s heart went out one by one, but looking at her mother’s smiling face she could only endure.

It’s not like she can blame her mother, Chen Meijia was a little discouraged.

“Come on, Meijia, drink some water first.” Chen Meijia’s mother hands were jammed with items of all kinds, and struggled to unscrew her mineral water and pass it.

“I don’t want to drink.” Chen Meijia took out the mirror and looked at it, dejected, she pulled out the compact puff to freshen up herself.

‘GRRRrr–‘

Suddenly, with a weird roar, the man standing next to Chen Meijia’s chair rushed over fiercely.

Dumbfounded, Chen Meijia couldn’t respond at all, whereas her mother rushed  in front of her all of a sudden: “Meijia be careful!”

“WHAT AHH!!”

Chen Meijia screamed in horror. Petrified, she watched as her mother fell on her shoulders while being bitten by a man. He tore off a large chunk of meat from her body.

Chen Meijia’s mother directly fainted due to the pain.

“Mom!” Chen Meijia shivered and cried, but the man who bit her mother turned to look at Chen Meijia menacingly. Chen Meijia could detect this.

The man has a powder white complexion, face bruised and deadly apathetic red eyes. Lifeless. 

Seen by the man, Chen Meijia’s mind went blank. She opened her mouth to scream again but then suddenly thought of what she had read and saw in the movies- A ZOMBIE!!

At this moment, Chen Meijia’s mother moved, eyes turning bloody as she howled and looked at her.

“what!?”

“Stop, stop, I want to get off!”

The screaming made the whole bus very noisy, and Chen Meijia hurriedly picked up the cotton bag on the side to block her mother’s face.

Her body twisted to get away from the horror scene as she was being surrounded by two zombies.

That’s right, her mother had become a zombie…

Chen Meijia felt her legs go numb after she evaded the attack. Her whole body shuddered. She cried and watched her mother whom she had pushed away, fall on an old man.

When the bus stopped, the door opened, and a crowd of people rushed out madly.

Chen Meijia dashed out along with the flow of people. She was squeezed, crushed, she didn’t know how many times someone had stepped on her feet, but she couldn’t respond at all. She was terrified. 

After she got out of the car, she hugged her head in her hands: “Mom–“

She was a freshman this year and was supposed to report to school today. But what she did not expect to encounter was such a horrible scene on the road. Chen Meijia was crying out of breath. Hyperventilating, her shoulders heaved. 

Unfortunately, the bus driver was bitten by the zombie before he could even get off the bus.

People who got off the bus didn’t dare stay, they bolted in all directions hoping they had escaped the calamity, but the crowd on the road was not aware of what happened. They came boldly in numbers to watch the hustle-bustle.

Chen Meijia watched anxiously as the zombies in the bus came down, and could not help but be afraid. She yelled: “Zombies, everyone run!”

“Is this a movie?” Chen Meijia heard someone ask curiously.

“I didn’t see a camera …”

There was a lot of discussion, but when she saw that a zombie had come off the vehicle, Chen Meijia couldn’t care less about others anymore and hurriedly squeezed out of the crowd to escape.

Chen Meijia in panic could only carry a small backpack with a diagonal spain, holding the mobile phone tightly in her hand, she squeezed it tight as if she wanted to give herself strength.

She cried while running.

Such tragedies were happening everywhere.

No one thought that the things that only existed in movies and novels one day will come true.

A lot of zombies were somehow found in different parts of the country one day. Unexpectedly, many people were bitten without responding or knowing.

Fortunately, the chaos in the university of City D was controlled in time.

The military training was about to begin after students reported on September 1st, hence, the coaches settled in the school early. Surprisingly, such an unforeseen  emergency happened.

Everyone who turned into a zombie, or was bitten by a zombie, were tightly tied with hemp rope inside a huge ground.

Military training in university would be conducted in the school every year. All the instructors who came to the school this time looked at the people trapped in the ground seriously.

People who had gone to contact the hospital came over as soon as possible, whilst they also notified the troops. Because the situation right now was obviously not right, more than 20 men and women were bound in the playground.

There were both students and teachers. But they all looked unnaturally pale, with the blue muscles popping on their faces. They kept roaring and howling. Glowering at them with a pair of eyes flushed like blood.

The most noticeable thing was their attack power, which was extremely powerful. These instructors exerted full strength to trap these people.

There could be one who had not been completely tied up before and was almost freed if they weren’t careful enough.

However, the signal was particularly poor while informing the troops as they could only hear static and a crackling noise from the other side during the entire call.

At this moment, a young girl rushed in front of the school gate and cried, “Zombies are everywhere. The end is coming hah–“

The instructor hurriedly helped the student who stumbled and rushed over to see her crying with a snot and tears: “Are you okay?”

Chen Meijia looked up at the instructor, and cried even more morosely: “My mother was bitten by a zombie, my mother became a z-zombie. It’s really the end of the world …”

Anxiety and fear apparent in her voice, she clutched the instructor’s arm tightly, digging her polished nails deep into his arm.

“Hiss—” The instructor sucked in a cold breath, but still comforted the female student who was almost facing a mental breakdown.

In addition to the zombies tied up in the middle of the college ground, the only left outside were instructors and security guards. All students are prohibited from leaving the student dormitory.

But after listening to the female student’s words from before, the instructor felt cold.

Let’s not mention anything about the end of the world, but it was sure from her words that the outside was obviously dangerous. After they get bitten by these things, they too would turn into zombies.

Abruptly,as if woken by something he glanced at the instructor who had just been bitten.He simply stood there and looked at the group of students. The wound on that instructor’s arm was being treated. 

He helped the female student to sit aside and then walked over.

However, just as he had walked over, and the instructor turned his head as if feeling something ominous. A pair of red eyes, face flushed with blood, rushed directly at him.
