Currently, still on mars and in his bio-ship, Spencer had just marked the first planet he would travel to in his search for an advanced alien civilization, based on the data displayed on the map, the closest civilization to mars apart from earth was only a few light-years away from the milky way, he had already set the coordinates for the planet, he only needed to initiate the launching process.

And initiate he did, at the moment he was gently guiding the ship out of the facility ceiling doors, pointing the front of the ship towards the atmosphere of mars, he somewhat firmly grasped the orbs controlling the ship pushed them forward, prompting the ship to ascend higher into the atmosphere. Soon reaching a suitable height, he calibrated the ship's power core in preparation for activating the warp drive.

Once reaching a height where he could examine the planet below him in its entirety, he pulled up a holographic screen in front of him and activated all of the steps needed to begin the journey.

"Hex, start the warp"-Spencer

As the voice of the Hex AI finished the countdown, the Bio-ship began to accelerate away from the atmosphere of the planet at an immense speed, before abruptly vanishing in a flash of bright light and entering a realm residing between space.

[approximately 2 hours before arrival]

"Perfect, How long has Bey'on been in the simulation?"-Spencer

[Roughly 5 hours]

"Any updates on her condition?"-Spencer

[Currently, she is setting fire to everything within the simulation]

"Oh....wait!"-Spencer

Hearing the report, Spencer jumped out of the control chair and quickly made his way to the simulation room, barging through the door, he abruptly entered the room and incorporated himself into the simulation. Once he entered, all he could see was a sea of flames bathing the buildings from top to bottom, many of the constructs had melted from the heat of the flames she had spread.

He just stood there looking at the room that he had put so much work into making, a single comedic tear rolling down his cheek as he watched it burn. Clapping his hands together, prompting a large scale shockwave to sweep throughout the simulated city, snuffing out all of the flames that came in contact with it in an instant.

Once the flames that flooded the city completely dissipated from the shockwave released by Spencer, he then proceeded to gravitate from the floor of the simulation and began hovering towards where he could sense Bey'on. It took him only a moment to find and approach her in the space of the scorched city.

At the moment, She was still in her human esque form matching Spencer's, except for her l.u.s.trous platinum hair being replaced by crimson flames flickering above her head, she stood on the ground staring in the direction of Spencer as he descended towards her.

"What the hell was that supposed to be?"-Spencer

Spencer landed in front of her and simply stood there with his hands on his h.i.p.s. Bey'on who was in front him looked at him in an almost sheepish manner, not responding to his question or reacting in any manner. Eventually she seemed to have snapped out of it and began to shake her head vigorously, much to his confusion, until he watched as her hair returned to the same l.u.s.trous platinum color that it was before.

"What was that?"-Spencer

He tilted his head and questioned her.

"Whatever it is that you have done to me, I repeatedly struggle to regulate it to a manageable degree, It continues to get out of hand the very moment I try to use it"-"Bey'on

Listening to her explanation of what had been going on, he squinted his eyes began to rub his chin to contemplate what he could do to resolve this issue. After about a minute of them standing there, Bey'on was beginning to feel uncomfortable from how Spencer was just standing there deep in thought until he broke the silence.

"Maybe I gave you too much of the bloodline for you to handle, its no problem, as long as you don't go all "flame on" supernova on me, it shouldn't be an issue"-Spencer

Not getting the reference, Bey'on looked at him strangely for the umpteenth time since he met her.

"Alright, stop looking at me like that, let's start with getting you used to being a living inferno"-Spencer

After their talk, Spencer had reset the simulated city back to its original state and spent the next hour "training" Bey'on to control her flames under pressure. He would give her basic instructions on what to do with her abilities, and whenever she messed up, he would introduce examples and new methods until she would eventually get the gist of gaining control over her abilities.

Though not taking a lot of time, It was very effective in its efficiency, she progressed relatively quickly in that first hour that he had instructed her, after that he had left her to improve on the uses of her abilities. He had returned to the main hall of the ship and sat in a couch that formed from the floor of the ship, he casually sat down and began to contemplate something that has been bothering him for a while.

"Spencer isn't a very intimidating name is it? as I am now, I am capable of slaughtering entire alien civilizations without so much as a scratch, but my name doesn't exactly scream "powerful god" now does it, I need to think about this"-Spencer

Spencer turned to his side and laid on the couch with his head back in thought, it had been plaguing him for a while but the issue was never addressed until now. As Spencer was thinking, the doors leading to the simulation room opened as Bey'on walked out and was about to walk passed him to enter her lab/room.

"I've been thinking, do you happen to find Spencer to be an intimidating name?"-Spencer

Bey'on stopped walking in the direction of her lab and turned her head to look at him in the couch, hearing his question, she pondered it for a moment before she spoke.

"The names of my people in most cases hold meaning, the head of the council Ma'alefa'ak represents the "rabid beast" headstrong and callus, J'onn J'onzz represents "Light to the Light" gentle and focused, what do you represent?"-Bey'on

Spencer looked back at himself.

"That's a good question"-Spencer

He stood up from the couch and walked up to Bey'on.

"I represent many things, fear, power, chaos, the list goes on, but I have no name to give worth to those lesser representations, my name should be one to remember across countless worlds"-Spencer

Bey'on listened to him boast about himself as she stood there, and once he finished, she proceeded to speak after him.

"That should be something you discover, a name should be a representation you are proud to bear, you must choose for yourself"-Bey'on

Even though she was generally apathetic to the conversation as a whole, she remained there and listened to him, even providing genuine retorts.

"You're right about that much, alright then, in the representation of my feats of power and a catalyst to my influence across worlds residing in the ever-expanding universe"-Spencer

Spencer placed his finger at the center of his forehead and pressed down, prompting the spot he was pressing against to emit steam. After a moment had passed, he slowly lowered his finger from the center of his head, revealing a ≎ symbol in its place.

"From this moment forth, all worlds that testify to my presence will know me as a being of insurmountable might, my name shall spread across the universe and be acknowledged by many. Alexander Corvus shall be my new mantle, a representation of my will to the heavens"-Spencer

After he declared his new name, Bey'on did not hold any significant reaction and only stood there, the two were in silence for such a time that it began to become uncomfortable for the both of them, it only ended when A notification from Hex brought their attention.

[Bio-ship arrival in exactly 10 minutes]

"It seems we are about to arrive upon our first world, let's see if they have anything valuable enough to record in the database"-Alexander

Bey'on seemed relatively uninterested

"I will stay on the ship, I doubt this civilization is worth looking at"-Bey'on

Bey'on walked off and returned to her section of the ship without saying anything further, leaving the newly named Alexander by himself in the ship's main hall. He decided he would go down and see what this world could provide for him.

"Let's go and take a look shall we"
