Chapter 24 - //Truth//

After turning Agron into what could be seen as a blood mist, Spencer instantly turned around and flickered from view, appearing back at the tribe within seconds, or what was left of the tribe.

Arriving at the tribe and walking around, Spencer's rage was constantly refreshed at every turn, the scene of the members of the tribe laying on the ground dead angered him, as he was growing slightly attached to them from the month that he was in the tribe.

Spencer began looking for Quintus and Hagen to see if they were harmed. Walking for a few moments, Spencer came to see the two dragging the bodies of the invaders they killed across the soil and throwing their corpses into a pile in a corner.

Looking to the left of them, Spencer could see that Dinah was still in immense pain from the loss of her child, Cassius was still attempting to comfort her as she was in her sorrow.

Spencer began making his way over to Quintus and Hagen catching their attention, seeing Spencer the two walked over to him.

"Where did you go?"-Quintus

Even though Spencer was only gone for a few moments, Quintus, who was the observant one, had noticed his disappearance into the forest while they were fighting the tribe's invaders.

Spencer looked at Quintus with a serious expression, while his eyes still refused to revert to normal as his body was still filled with immense rage. Looking into Spencer's eyes continued to send fear throughout Quintus's body, but he did not show it.

"Agron had abandoned the tribe"-Spencer

Hearing what Spencer said, Quintus was shocked by the fact that Agron, the one who everyone looked up to as the leader of the village, someone he would call a brother, would just abandon them in their time of need.

"Where is he"-Quintus

Quintus wanted to know where Agron has gone so that he could question him on why he would abandon the people of the tribe and deal with him himself.

"I had already tracked down his scent and dealt with him"-Spencer

"Oh"-Quintus

Hearing this, Quintus was filled with indignation that he could not do it himself, but a hint of grief was whelming up within him, even though he was furious with Agron for abandoning the tribe, losing him was still a painful experience when the memories of them being like brothers began to surface.

Spencer could sense Quintus's sadness, but he ignored it as his objective wasn't yet complete. Spencer walked closer to Quintus and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"You will have time to bask in your sadness later, We still need to avenge the people of the tribe"-Spencer

Saying this Spencer then walked past Quintus and towards Hagen, approaching him he began to speak.

"Do you know of any other tribes in this place"-Spencer

As Spencer asked this, Hagen lowered his head and began to think.

"No, we choose this place because there were no nearby tribes"-Hagen

"I see"-Spencer

Hearing Hagen's words, Spencer was greatly confused, how was the tribe attacked if there were no nearby tribes to attack them in the first place.

Looking back at Quintus to ask him if he knows of any tribes, he saw that he was still standing there remembering Agron and their bond as brothers.

*Sigh!*-Spencer audibly sighed

He realized that he didn't have any other options for finding the tribe that attacked them. Moving Hagen out of the way, Spencer walked towards the pile of corpses in the corner.

"I suppose I have no other choice"-Spencer

Squatting down, Spencer reached out his hand and touched one of the corpses. Hagen who was watching this was confused by what he was doing, Quintus who had regained some of his composure was also watching in confusion.

What happened next replaced their confusion with fear, upon touching the corpse of one of the invaders, it began to liquefy, the flesh melted off the bone and the eyes slowly melted into the skull, the skeleton which was now exposed quickly melted as well, in the end becoming a red liquid.

The red liquid began to infuse into Spencer's body, the invader now becoming apart of him, along with its memories. As Spencer finished absorbing the invader, he started to scan through its memories to see if he can locate their origin.

Finding what he needed in its memories, he then stood up and turned around. What he was the now completely terrified Quintus and Hagen backing away from him in a hurried fashion.

*Sigh!*

Releasing a second sigh, Spencer knew that this would happen if he showed them what he could do.

"We don't have time for this, I know where they came from"-Spencer

Walking closer to them, they continued to back away from him in fear of what he was, they could not comprehend his action.

"Come on, I have been doing nothing but helping you from the beginning"-Spencer

Hearing what Spencer said, their fear had diminished slightly, but they were still afraid of him from what they had seen. Spencer only stood in place and held his hand forward with his palm exposed.

This further lessened their fear of him as they started to relax a little, Spencer seeing this began to speak.

"these invaders come from a tribe hidden on the other side of that mountain"-Spencer

Saying this, Spencer pointed to his left in the direction of a mountain that was visible to all of them. Quintus and Hagen followed the direction of which he was pointing and observed the mountain.

"We will repay them for what they did to our tribe and its people, get your weapons and meet me at the center of the village"- Spencer

Quintus and Hagen followed his orders and went for there weapons without a second thought.

Seeing the two going for there weapons, Spencer walked over to the tent that Cassius and Dinah were. Opening the tent, Spencer saw that Dinah was no longer crying, but when he looked into her eyes, it was cold and lifeless, it was as if she had died completely on the inside from the loss of her child.

Cassius was still trying to remove her dead child from her arms as she was not letting go of her, he eventually gave up but he was still staying by her side to keep an eye on her.

"We are going to avenge the people of our tribe, you stay here and tend to Dinah"-Spencer

Before Cassius could respond, Spencer closed the tent and went back to the center of the tribe to see Quintus and Hagen waiting there. Seeing that they both had their weapons, he decided it was time.

"Let's go"-Spencer

The three began to walk outside of the village in pursuit of revenge.
