Genesis 1473.

Eastern Continent, Brentania Empire.

“My name is Sidney, Valerius Lee Sidney. I’m the second son of the Valerius family, 17 years old this year, and a handsome and suave noble.”

“It’s a pity that the Valerius family isn’t the most powerful one in the capital. Though, it does get extra privileges even for nobles. Of course, I’m talking about the large amount of money it generates. There’s always food and drinks ready on demand to be served by classic black silk maids.”

“Today marks the tenth year ever since my memory awakening. During which, I had 1,756 suicide attempts but none of them worked. Although this body doesn’t have any magical talent, nor can I channel QI, I was still resurrected after jumping into the meat grinder. It seems like I’m going to have a really hard time dying.”

“So, I have completely given up on physical death. As for magic, it commonly changes the laws of physics, so it can’t really help here.”

“The one way I have yet to try is spirit-based or soul-based magic! But, if even that doesn’t work, then I’ll have to find this world’s hero to end me.”

“These days, a lot of people transmigrate; some become slimes, some become spiders, and others become the worlds’ heroes. Some live normally, some play with shields, and some with sticks. Even if they’re excluded by the others, there are usually beautiful spouses for them. And here I am… this long after crossing over and I have yet to finish the novice task.”

“Because what I became after transmigration is… the Demon Lord.”

To be precise, an invincible, yet unawakened Demon Lord.

Sidney continued to write,

“If you are lucky enough to read this diary, you can believe my words or don’t. Ordinary transmigrators will hide the fact that they are from a different world, but I am not afraid. If you dare, come and kill me.”

If you can do it.

With a bang, a fire started raging outside the window, the ceiling cracked in the tremor, and the floating ash rustled.

Tables and chairs echoed as they were knocked over following roars of magic bursts outside the window.

Students poured out of the classroom, screaming in panic everywhere.

Sidney calmly swept away the dust sprinkled on his diary. Another day in Loma City is another day of chaos.

“There’s a riot! Everyone, run!”

“William, wait for me!”

“Bring your horses! Get out!”

The classmates who usually behave gracefully are now like banished spirits in hell, fleeing for their lives.

Sidney closed his diary and calmly contemplated life, not even bothering to move.

As if all the noise around him has nothing to do with him.

As he sat there, someone walked up to him and lightly spoke: “Is this the time to be reading your diary? Your life is in danger… Or was that a suicide note you just finished writing?”

There were only the two of them left in the entire classroom, and there was a different kind of silence in the chaos.

“Isn’t it a warlock riot? It’s basically a Tuesday in Loma City.”

Sidney refused to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation. He turned his head and said, “Noren, in fact, not only am I in the mood to write a diary, but also I’m in the mood to look at black silk… Hey, you actually wore thigh-high boots!”

Noren looked down at him condescendingly, with an ice-white and flawless face, a long white-blond hair coiled behind her head, a petite figure reflected in a moon-white magic robe, a pair of slender legs wrapped in black silk, below the knees are tall black leather boots and a strong repelling aura.

“Snap.”

She raised her foot and stepped on the table.

“What?”

There was a hint of contempt in her beautiful turquoise eyes as she said,

“Do you want to have a lick, young master?”

Sidney smiled and said, “What I want to do is more than just a lick.”

A trace of unnaturalness flashed on Noren’s delicate and pretty face as she snorted coldly,

“Young Master, you really changed a lot recently. Before, at most, you would just secretly look at my legs and drool to yourself… you didn’t even dare to greet me.”

Sidney shrugged. After he awakened his previous life’s memories, he naturally stopped being the coward he was.

He and the girl in front of him have quite a complicated relationship.

Both a childhood friend and a servant.

Also a classmate.

After the collapse of Noren’s family, she was adopted by the Valerius family. Because of her outstanding talent in magic, she became a fourth-order warlock at a young age and became famous throughout the Brentania Empire.

And Sidney, the dandy young master, was very lucky to become one of the very few nobles who had fourth-order warlocks as bodyguards.

But after awakening his memory, he didn’t want this girl to follow him at all!

“Master, why don’t you run?” Noren asked.

“With you here, why would I run?” Sidney said indifferently.

As he said that, there was another bang outside the window alongside iron clashing from the garrison guards.

In recent years, the Brentania Empire has been in turmoil. Ever since the Empress took the throne, you can say that the years have been unfavourable. The political situation is turbulent, and supply is thin by the border. Plague and famine are everywhere, and nobles are oppressing commoners.

And the Church has been completely corrupted. They’re either selling redemption tickets at a high price or refining some kind of metal.

It’s only natural that riots started popping up.

Loma City, where Sidney is located, is about to become Los Santos but with even worse security and safety.

The current situation is another riot by civilian warlocks.

Suddenly, the classroom door was kicked open.

He saw two black-clothed thugs rushing in and grinning, “There are two fine-skinned and tender-fleshed nobles here!”

“Quickly bring them to the square, maybe it will be another large ransom!”

“Brother, you should…”

Before he could finish speaking, he saw a gust of wind blowing towards his face, and a petite black shadow ambushed him!

“Bang!”

The big man who came first was kicked ten metres away and smashed into the blackboard.

Skull shattered, brains scattered.

Before the other big man could react, he was grabbed by the collar of a ruthless iron hand, then a punch followed by a crippling blow, he was then hit by a dropkick so fast that no one could see it happen, then the figure slapped him so hard he rotated several times in his place.

Finally, a top-down leg axe, the guillotine!

“Crack!”

Noren expressionlessly loosened her feet wrapped in thigh-highs, and under her feet were two corpses with broken necks.

“Clap, clap, clap, clap!”

Sidney watched and applauded, he was already used to the girl’s brutal fighting style. He asked with a hint of curiosity,

“Noren, since you are the most talented warlock in the young generation of the capital, are you good at Spirit Magic? You know, the kind that can destroy the soul directly.”

Noren tilted her head and said,

“Young master, I am a pure melee warlock. All my skills are made to directly crush the enemy. As for the spiritual warlocks, there is only one possible outcome when facing me, death.”

Generally speaking, that kind of warlock would be killed in seconds, way before he had time to cast his spell.

Sidney sighed, the girl misunderstood what he meant.

“Forget it, let’s go.”

He said, “Let’s go out and have a look. It seems that they kidnapped some people outside.”

Noren was taken aback,

“Shouldn’t we hide this time? Young master, although I am sure to kill everyone outside, I can’t protect the hostages… and that includes you.”

Her best plan is to run away with the young master on her back.

“Protect? This young master will swagger his way out of here today!”

Sidney said lightly,

“If anyone kills me, I will recognize him as a legend!”
