Chapter 31: The Babies Didn’t Care

Could he be the president’s illegitimate child?

After all, Zhan Yeling was 28 years old, incredibly handsome, and it would be more suspicious if he didn’t have any women in his life.

Having an illegitimate child show up was quite normal, wasn’t it?

Given this, the receptionist couldn’t afford to neglect this matter.

Furthermore, her superior had stated that any grievances or messages intended for President Zhan should be passed along without hesitation.

After all, as the newly appointed president, Zhan Yeling needed to establish his rules and get a grasp of all matters within the company. Even if the truth may be unpalatable, it was still the truth. President Zhan was not one for false words.

After placing a phone call, the receptionist politely addressed Su Mumu, “You can take the elevator directly up to the 36th floor, to the President’s Office.”

This was President Zhan’s matter, and she certainly didn’t want to say anything wrong to upset the woman. “Thank you,” Su Mumu replied with a polite smile, leading the six little ones into the elevator.

Rich Corporation was the most luxurious, influential, and noble conglomerate in the city. Su Mumu had initially thought that getting to meet the person in charge of such a high-end company would be a massive endeavor, requiring the strength of nine bulls and two tigers. However, it was surprisingly easy to reach the President’s office.

This made Su Mumu think that the leader of the Rich Corporation seemed quite approachable. Inside the elevator, the reflection from the metal mirrored walls made the six little ones’ chubby faces shine brilliantly. They were quiet, obediently following Su Mumu.

Their little minds were already contemplating how to fully leverage their strengths to reclaim what belonged to them. “Ding!” The elevator stopped at the topmost floor.

Su Mumu led the children out into a luxuriously decorated, immaculately clean corridor with no one in sight. For a moment, she didn’t know which way to go, so she chose a direction at random.

After passing through a set of elegant glass doors, she suddenly turned back, her eyes locked onto a few large words on the door frame: President’s Office.

The president? That would be the highest authority.

Hmm, seeking him out should be a good idea.

So, Su Mumu knocked on the door.

“…”

There was no response.

The door was slightly ajar. She pushed it open to find the room empty.

No one was there!

But the six little ones didn’t care whether anyone was inside or not. They rushed into the room, some climbing onto the high-end leather sofa, others onto the swivel chairs, playing with the controls, and some curiously playing with the remote.

Seeing the children forget their manners and indulge their curiosity, Su Mumu became flustered, “Qianqian, don’t mess with the remote, it belongs to the president.”

“Junjun, don’t draw on the papers, they are contracts.”

“Mama, don’t scratch the sofa.”

“Baobei, don’t eat that, it’s coffee beans!”

Su Mumu was struggling to keep the children under control.

Seeing new and exciting things, the children just couldn’t help themselves.

And with only two hands, Su Mumu was struggling to keep up with their mischief.

As Su Mumu was growing increasingly frantic, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a handsome figure passing outside the glass door.

The magical glass allowed the people inside to see out, but not the other way around.

She recognized him instantly – it was the same handsome man she had seen outside the Rich Corporation previously. In her pursuit of him, she had even lost track of the little ones.

And now, she had run into him again, and this time, he was so close.

She was determined not to let him out of her sight again!
