Chapter 21 Ancient Recipe

"Believe it or not, your choice!"

Li Ge snorted coldly, turned her head and left.

Anyhow, Gu Yunshen's fate was his own, not hers.

Medicine can only cure those diseases that can be cured, and Buddha can only save those who have the predestined relationship to become monks.

She will not be the one who’ll die of illness at that time.

With Li Ge’s temperament, it was already of utmost benevolence and justice to be able to reach this point. As for rushing to save Gu Yanshen, it was naturally impossible.

When Gu Yunshen saw her appearance, he laughed in a low voice for a long time which was rare.

"Cheng Liang."

A moment later, Gu Yunshen called in Cheng Liang, who was guarding the door.

Cheng Liang thought Li Ge did something again, therefore he looked at Gu Yunshen up and down as soon as he came in. He didn't ask his doubts until he found nothing wrong with Gu Yunshen.

"Young Master, do you want something?"

Gu Yunshen paused his fingers on his mobile phone screen for a while, then forwarded the ancient prescription Li Ge had just sent to him to Cheng Liang.

"You go and prepare this medicine."

"Chinese medicine?" Cheng Liang took a quick look at the picture Gu Yunshen sent to him, but could not understand it. He could only say, "Young Master, where did you get this prescription? You can't just take medicine indiscriminately, especially with the condition of your body!"

It suddenly occurred to him that it was Li Ge who had come in just now, and Cheng Liang was more or less aware of the origin of where this prescription came from, but…..Third Miss Li was just a little girl who grew up in the countryside. What prescription could she come up with?

Gu Yunshen seemed to think of this too. After a slight pause of his fingertips, he said again, "Then take this prescription to Old Hong."

Cheng Liang didn't understand why Gu Yunshen attaches so much importance to such a seemingly unreliable prescription. But since Gu Yunshen had already spoken, Cheng Liang would naturally not disobey, thus he simply nodded his head in agreement

****

In a blink of an eye, it was already Li Ge’s third day at the manor. According to reason, Li Ge should have also visited her family after getting married.

Gu Yunshen thought that Li Ge really wouldn’t return and visit, however, it never occurred to him that she would—early in the morning even.

Currently, Li Ge was wearing a black sweater, with a light colored jeans suspender below, her long hair was tied behind her head, and had a black baseball cap on. The whole person looked very young, like a student walking in a high school campus, and was completely unlike a newly married woman.

"Are you going back?" Gu Yunshen looked at Li Ge and said with a slight frown.

According to the information he had received before, the Li family was not good to Li Ge. At present, Li Ge's stepmother was a mistress entering the house, and even had two daughters which were older than Li Ge herself.

With Li Ge’s character, she should not have allowed the Li family to marry her to him, but now it was obvious that Li Ge didn’t have such a relationship with the Li family as he had thought.

Li Ge saw at a glance what Gu Yunshen was thinking. She curled her mouth and replied, "I still have something to do, that’s why I’m going back."

"What is it?"

Li Ge raised one eyebrow high and said jokingly, "Is Young Master meddling into my business?"

As soon as she said this, Cheng Liang, who was already dissatisfied with Li Ge, turned gloomy. However, he was afraid to speak out because Gu Yunshen was there.

Gu Yunshen did not care, but simply smiled and said, "You are my wife. How can my question be considered meddling?"

Wife?

In all honesty, Li Ge was very unfamiliar with this term.

After all, she was only nineteen years old this year. Even if she was mentally mature, she had never been exposed to such matters.

Li Ge stood there for a long time without speaking. Finally, under Gu Yunshen's gentle eyes, she opened his mouth and said, "I’m going back to get something my mother left behind. It's always been in my father's hands.”

When she spoke the word "father", there was more or less sarcasm in her tone.

Gu Yunshen didn't think that Li Ge would really tell him about it, he could not help but be stunned.

Li Ge grunted softly then said, "Forget it, you'd better stay at home and recuperate well. You don't have a blood source now, so don't go outside casually. If you accidentally bump into something, it won’t be considered just a small matter."

It could be even said that even if only a small piece of skin was scratched, it may kill Gu Yunshen.

In order to protect Gu Yunshen's life, Li Ge felt that it would be better for him to just stay at home.

He was even more delicate and tender than the Princess in that fairytale, where she couldn’t sleep as there was a pea under the twenty stacked mattresses she’s lying on.

After Li Ge left, Cheng Liang's mobile phone suddenly rang.

Cheng Liang took out his mobile phone and looked at it. Then he looked up and said cautiously to Gu Yunshen, "Young Master, it's Old Hong."

The other day, when he sent the prescription to Old Hong, he felt that Old Hong's reaction was very strange.

However, Old Hong didn't make a clear statement at that time, besides Cheng Liang didn't think the prescription given by Li Ge could be more reliable, therefore he didn't ask any questions

"Give me your cell phone." Gu Yunshen also became serious.

After taking the mobile phone, Gu Yunshen connected the call.

But before Gu Yunshen could speak, Old Hong, who was on the other side of the line, suddenly spoke excitedly.

"Cheng Liang! Where did you get this prescription?!"

Gu Yunshen frowned and then said, "Hong Lao, this is Gu Yunshen“

"Young Master Gu?" Old Hong was stunned for a moment, but soon became excited again, "Young Master Gu! Where did Cheng Liang get the prescription he sent me a few days ago?"

Gu Yunshen: "Why do you want to know this“

Old Hong, formerly known as Hong Peixi, was a leading hematology doctor in the Capital. He was born in a medical family, and also had great attainments in traditional Chinese medicine.

Before, Gu Yunshen's illness had always been personally taken care of by Old Hong himself, but later Gu Yunshen went to Ningcheng to recuperate. However, Old Hong did not follow to Ningcheng because of his poor health and because of inconveniences as he got older.

But Old Hong was already a top veteran in this industry after all. Generally speaking, he shouldn’t be acting this excited!

Unless……

Old Hong on the other side of the phone didn't notice Gu Yunshen's emotion at all, as he still continued with an excited voice, "The prescription you asked Cheng Liang to give me the other day is wonderful! I studied it these two days and found that it was an ancient prescription in a medical book unearthed in the ancient tomb of Ninghai Town more than ten years ago. However, the medical book was too damaged to be repaired, thus there was only a small part of prescriptions on my side. I compared the prescription Cheng Liang gave me and found that it was a prescription in that ancient book!”

"Ninghai Town...... Ancient?" Gu Yunshen did not know what to think, and his eyes became darker and darker.

Old Hong: "Yes, I specially looked for the information of Ninghai Town in those days for this matter. The prescription you gave me yesterday was a piece and remains of the ancient prescriptions. Surprisingly, it was even a complete version."
