Chapter 77 Part 2:  Summit

“We’ll be back in a few minutes. Keep the door closed, and I’ve boiled porridge for you.”

“Go ahead, don’t worry.”

I hurriedly packed my things and ran out.

Once we reached the car, Jo Yeon-ho inquired if it would be okay to leave Pyo Yeon-won alone, but I immediately nodded.

‘He’ll be fine. He’s not as weak as he seems.’

He may be struggling now, but he’ll get back on his feet one day.

That’s the Pyo Yeon-Won I know.

He may seem to have a glazed-over, weak temper on the outside, but he has a very firm core.

He will immediately get back on his feet.

That’s why he was able to lead the Netherworld Guild with me even before the regression occurred.

There were times when he avoided me because I reminded him of his sister, but he eventually got over it.

He’s naturally a very delicate person, and it must have been hard for him to get over his sister’s death, but he still did.

That’s what I learned after watching Pyo Yeon-Won, who always got up and stood beside me, even when he was full of wounds, for a long time.

‘So it will happen again.’

All we have to do is wait.

I watched from the sidelines, hoping that he would pick himself up and get back on his feet sooner.

We arrived at the conference hall to a room full of famous people.

It was a summit full of fairly large guilds, and prominent ones.

Most of them I had heard of at one time or another.

Big Dipper, Nightwalkers, Cherrycap, and…

“Wow. She’s here too.”

Hye-Won exclaimed while looking at the same person.

As soon as the Blue Serpents and Red Flames were out of sight, the largest guild in the city also arrived.

No, I don’t even know if I should call it a guild, since it had a system that was quite different from a traditional one.

“Oh, Netherworld is here too.”

The other party, whose wild gray hair was tied back into a ponytail, pretended to know us first.

Her gray pupils beneath her sharp eyes were looking directly at us.

Her demeanor is unruly, and her clothes are plain but comfortable.

“I remember seeing your guild when it was just really small. Is it this big already?”

“It wasn’t really that small. It was just a little smaller than it is now.”

It’s Jin Sung-Yeon.

I had to look up as the huge woman approached.

She put both her hands on either side of her waist, then said, “Oh is this Our Hye-won?”

“…”

“It seems like yesterday, but it’s refreshing to see that you’ve already established yourself as the guild leader of the Netherworld.”

She’s a living history of the Hunter world.

She was a first-generation Hunter who made history alongside Choi Seok-Chul.

‘A tank who also acts as a damage dealer…’

‘A hunter who redefined the concept of damage dealers.’

Most of the first-generation hunters have long since retired from the field.

There’s only one left— Jin Sung-yeon, who is still active.

However, her main activity is not in Korea, but abroad.

“You’re back in Korea after a long time. Are you going to stay here for a while?”

“Not really. I just happened to be in town for a summit, but I have a plane ticket booked for the day after tomorrow. I’ll be leaving soon.”

Terminators is the name of the guild that was being led by Jin Sung-Yeon.

It’s more of a mercenary group than a guild.

Their sense of belonging is very weak, and their guild leader is chosen simply by the logic of strength.

The strongest ruled them, and the most fanatical of them gathered beneath that simple rule.

“The Guildmaster of Terminators has never changed.”

All of these people who had flocked around like moths to a flame were attracted by Jin Sung-Yeons’s power.

“I’ve never seen you before, are you a newcomer?”

“Hello, I’m Han Seo-Ha. I’m new, and I still have a lot to learn.”

“Humble is a rare trait among the kids these days!”

She chuckles and pats me on the shoulder.

Jin Sung-Yeon’s hair isn’t just gray up close.

It looks gray from a distance because it was mixed with black.

It must have originally been jet-black.

“Something very interesting is going to be announced today, so you better be ready.”

Jin Sung-Yeon whispered in a low voice, “I heard that we have to keep it to ourselves.”

She said with a wink.

‘I wonder if the large guilds have been informed about it in advance.’

They seemed to have a much quicker response than expected.

They’re not stalling for time anymore, they’ve even reached out to the large guilds.

‘That’s right. We have to prepare on such short notice.’

‘Things will be different before the regression. That’s because we’ll be moving a little faster,’

I swore in my heart, while clenching my fists.

“Guild officials, please enter the conference room. The summit will begin in five minutes!”

The government representative shouted loudly.

We cut off our small talk and headed inside.

Blue Serpent and Red Flames were already seated in.

Yoon Kang-baek was sitting in the middle, representing Red Flames, while Jeon Cheong-Woon, and Kim Ki-taek were on each side of his side.

Jeon Seo-ho was on the other side, flanked by Lee Eun-Woo and Jung Jin-Moon.

Coincidentally, it seems that all six of them knew each other.

I had seen Jung Jin-Moon once before when I had to accompany the Blue Serpents to clear the undead gate.

He greeted me with a curt nod, and took his seat without saying a word.

Hye-won sat at the head of the table for the Netherworld Guild, with me and Jo Yeon-ho following suit.

“I’d like to thank everyone for attending. I know you have taken the time out of your busy schedules, just to come here.”

The government representative opened the summit.

He was a middle-aged man with a tie pulled down to his neck.
