What Where You Thinking

David looked at Mits trying to understand what she is saying, she grabbed his hand and led him to her bedroom.

Now a shocked David was not sure what was going on as she was leading him to her bed.

"Sit she ordered him." Again with shock on his face, "Mits you can't"

"NO Man don't be silly David, I love Shane."

Irritated with the thought of what David was thinking she went to go sit next to him, picked up the laptop and showed him the email.

Red faced David took the l.a.p top and started reading the email.

"I HAVE HIM, AND IF YOU WANT TO SEE HIM ALIVE YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY"

I have Shane.

I will make sure he will not be able to care for himself or interact socially as long as he lives.

I know how much you love him, so if you EVER want to see him again bring exactly 5 million $ in unmarked bills, put it into the hollowed out old tree behind the playground at hollow center park.

You have until midnight tomorrow night, or you will NEVER see Shane again.

After reading the email, David did not say a word, he put the laptop down and start to walk out the room.

Frustrated with him she jumped up and grabbed him by the arm, not wanting to wake her parents.

"What the hell are we going to do?" she asked him through gritted teeth.

"I have a few calls to make, don't worry we will get this sorted out."

"Get what you need and come do it in here, I don't want you to wake up my parents."

But it was to late, when they turned around her father was standing there looking at the two of the.

"What in heavens name is going on?"

Mits knew what her father must be thinking seeing another man in her room, "I just got an email from Janine" She said to her father.

He came into the room and Mits showed him the mail.

"Where does she think that we can get that amount of money in such a short time?"

Then David talked again, "I will make a few calls."

"Did Mits not tell you to get what you need and come do it in the room, her mother is still sleeping, and I don't want her to come and sit here and worry."

David and Mits looked at her father, David left the room to go and get his things.

Mits got up to go and make a pot of coffee, she knew that they will all need it.

Her father went to their room to go and get a small box.

Once they where all back in the room, they took a cup of coffee and they all started doing their own things.

After about 3 hours, Mits father said, I have here nine hundred thousand dollars.

For the first time since they all got in the room she saw what her father was doing.

He was counting the money he had in the box.

"Dad I can not take you money!"

"Do not start young lady, we need to get Shane back from that crazy woman."

She looked at her dad then to David.

"I managed to get 3 million dollars loose that we can get at 9 tomorrow morning."

"I only have one hundred thousand dollars in my bank that I will be able to get by 12 tomorrow."

Tears start to run down her face again, she knows that they are still short and she does not know what they are going to do.
