What Where You Thinking

Mits woke up, she opens her eyes with a trubbing headache.

Looking at the phone she see 20 miss calls and more than 30 messages, she was in no mood to look who was looking for her, but deep in her mind she know is can only be Shane, with more tears filling her eyes, she stood up and walked to the kitchen, making herself some coalmine tea.

Taking the tea she went to her room, put the tea on the dresser and sat down on her bed, looking at herself in the mirror. Shocked with what she saw, she walked to the bathroom start getting undressed and took a long warm bath.

A sudden hard knock on the door brought Mits back to the moment and she jummed out of the bath, yelling at who ever it might be "Just give me a minute."

Frustrated Mits went to her cupboard, grabbing a sweat pants and shirts, walking towards the door she can hear a woman's voice on the other side.

"Who is it?" Was all managed to ask.

"Just open the door, it's me Mel."

With that reply Mits open the door looking at her friend standing there, Mits can see how worried she is and stood one side so that Mel can come in.

"What the hell is going on Mits? Where is your phone?"

Mits just looks at Mel not saying a word. Closing the door behind Mel, Mits walked to the kitchen, "You want some tea Mel?"

"NO I want to know what is going on Shane has been calling me and said that you stormed off this morning and said it is over between the two of you, you are not picking up your phone and not replying to your sms's, So tell me what is going on?"

"Did Shane also tell you that he is married?" Lowering her eyes Mits put the kettle on and asked again would you like that tea now?

Shocked all Mel can say is "Yes Please"

In silence to two of them stands in the kitchen while Mits is making the tea.

Mel took her cup and they walked to the living room, Mel sat next to Mits on the sofa, and turned to look at Mits, very softly Mel asked, "What happened?"

With tears fillings Mits eyes one more time.

"We had a fun day all planned for today, he got here this morning and from the first phone call I could tell that something was not right, he sounded off"

Mits fell quite again, but Mel did not dare say something she just sat and looked at her friend with so much compassion.

"He told me that his wife wanted to meet me and that she wanted to talk to me, I could not believe wat I heard, I got angry, I screamed at him Mel." With that last words Mits broke out in tears.

Mel put her cup down and hold Mits close to her. "I am really sorry sweetie" was all Mel could say, holding her friend close to her.

After about 5 min Mits sat up straight, I don't want to talk about this anymore, I don't want to feel the way I am feeling know.

Mel got up, grabbed Mits by the hand, pulled her up and walked to the room.

"Sit down."

Mits did as she was told. Mel started with her hair, then her make up and finally she walked to the closet. "So tel me Mits, what would you like to do tonight?"

With red eyes Mits said "Let's go dancing I want to forget today actually happened."

With that reply Mel had a big grin on her face and took out Mits's Black Short dress. And threw the dress at Mits. "Well what are you waiting for go and get dressed."

Mits went into the bathroom, changing into her little black dress. When she came out Mel already had the shoes on the bed, Mits slipped her feet into the shoes.

"See you are a beauty in that clothes, let me get ready and we will get something to eat first and then to dancing."

While Mits is waiting for Mel to choose a dress from her closest, she went to go and get here phone to look at the messages.

"Hi it's me, I would just like to say that I am really sorry, please phone me."

"Me again, please pick up your phone we really need to talk."

Mits did not want to go through all of Shanes messages so she just hit Delete all.

Mel came into the living room, "You ready to go?"

"Yes lets get out of here."

Ones out of the apartment, Mits felt a bit better with the wind on her face and Mel there to keep her company.

They went to a little Italian restaurant not far from the club. Having a few drinks and talking Mits is starting to forget about the day, After dinner they went to the club, everyone there knew Mel so they did not have any problems in getting in they even skipped the long Que at the door.

Ones inside they went to the VIP Lounge were Mel signaled the waiter.

"Good evening ladies I am Jason, I will be your waiter tonight. Is there anything you ladies would like to drink?"

With a smile Mel said, "Please give us two of the Barmen specials."

Mits was not really in a mood to argue with Mel and said "That will be great."

The waiter returned with their drinks, after a few sips, Mel jumped up. "Come Mits it's time to go and dance, lets forget about the whole day and enjoy ourselfs."

Mits got up took Mel's hand and went to the dance floor, they danced and laughed, Mel even hooked up with a dark head hunk.

About 2am Mits told Mel, "Hey sweetie I think I had to much to drink, I will just go home and sleep, see you tomorrow, thank you for a wonderful night."

"Are you sure you want to go home?" Fred want's to go to the beach and watch the sun come up"

"No thanks I am good, I will just go and sleep."

"Good buy sweetie, Good buy Fred, nice to meet you." With that Mits left.

At the door Mits was waiting for a cab to take her home. She took out her phone to look at the time one more time. Again she had a lot of miss calls and messages.

"Hello Mits, it's me again, I was at your place, saw that you left with Mel, hope that you will have a good evening. Please call me in the morning we really need to talk."

Mits rolled her eyes and put the phone back in her bag as the cab stopped to pick her up.

At the apartment she got out the cab, only to see that Shane's car is standing in the parking lot.

Mits paid the cab, and walked to Shane's car, when she got to the car she saw that Shane was sleeping on the back seat of the car. With tears in her eyes she looked at Shane, she still loves him with all her heart. She knocked on the window softly no wanting to give him a fright.

Shane did not move so she knocked even harder, Shane sat up straight and looked out the window. When he saw Mits standing there, he opens the door, "Hello!"

"Hi, why are you sleeping in your car?"

Shane lowered his head, and did not say anything. "Listen I had a bit to much to drink with Mel tonight and I am not in the mood for your games."

Shocked Shane looked into Mits big blue eye's. "I told you that we need to talk, and I have no where else to go, so I thought I will come and sleep here in my car, this is the last place that I felt happy and Save."

Mits started getting tears in her eyes. She turned around and started walking away. Shane did not dare to move, Mits stopped and turned to look at him, "Are you coming or are you going to sleep in the car the whole night."

Shane got out the car and followed Mits into the apartment.

"You can sleep in the guest room, don't even think of sneaking into my room or I will get you arrested." Mits walked to her room and before closing the door said "We can talk in the morning when I have sobert up and is in the mood to talk. Good night Shane"
