Issei's senses began acting up. If you ever acted this way only of he was in danger. Issei then sensed a presence behind him and when he turned around he saw a huge creature. It was a dragon. More precisely, it was a grey Eastern dragon with an enormous body measuring around 500-600 meters in length. This was the the second son of Loki and Angrboda and Fenrir's younger brother, also one of the five Great Dragon Kings, Midgardsormr.

This is the largest dragon in the entire world, even larger than the Great Red. When compared to Great Red's usual size, that is. He is also known as Sleeping Dragon, Dragon of the End and World Serpent. Now, the question arises what is he doing here? Just like his name Sleeping Dragon applies, he is an extremely lazy dragon. He pretty doesn't give a f.u.c.k about Loki or Fenrir. So, what is he doing here? And another question arises that why would Midgardsormr's presence alarm Issei's senses when even Fenrir who was one of the top ten strongest beings in the world couldn't do so.

Then as if to answer Issei's questions, Midgardsormr released a large roar that shook the ground. Then a large Norse magic circle appeared on his body. The magic circle then breaks apart and Midgardsormr's body starts glowing with a silvery light and he also starts growing further until his size reached about 6371 km. His eyes turned bright red and the color of his scales changed from dark grey to bright silver.

He's power also started increasing at a ridiculous pace and it only came to a stop until it's power reached the state of the top ten strongest beings in the world. It's powers were even higher than Fenrir's at this point. It was also releasing a strange dark green colored smoke from it's mouth. When the smoke landed on a nearby mountain, the entire mountain started immediately disintegrating. Issei understood that the green smoke was venom and an extremely corrosive one at that.

Them without any warning, Midgardsormr released a breath of his corrosive venom directly at Issei. Issei immediately teleported away from the place to save himself. The place he was standing started melting and quickly disintegrated into nothingness.

"Why are you attacking me?!" Issei asked. But he didn't seem to hear him as he again released a breath attack at Issei. Issei summoned a strong shield from the Gate of Babylon to protect himself and he managed to remain unscathed barely, but the same couldn't be said for the shield.

Issei looked at Midgardsormr's eyes and saw that his pupils were diluted. He immediately understood that the dragon was under someone's control. Loki must have down something when he was about to die. He must've been understood that he would die and did something to ensure his revenge upon Issei.

Issei then remembered several things that immediately destroyed his confusion. He remembered that according to the Norse Legends, Loki had two sons and a daughter. One was son was a Giant Wolf and the other was a Huge Serpentine Dragon. In the Norse Legends, Ragnarök is the battle of the end of the world. In this battle, Loki takes his army of the frost giants along with his two sons in a battle against the Norse Gods. According to the Legend, Fenrir fought against Odin and the Huge Serpentine Dragon fought against Thor. Fenrir ended up dying but also manged to kill Odin. The same thing happened in the battle between Thor and the Huge Serpentine Dragon. The Dragon is told to have an extremely toxic venom called Eitr, which is powerful enough to kill a God like Thor.

Even though Odin is a very strong God, Thor is upper echelons one of the top ten strongest beings in the world. That just means that the Dragon is stronger than Fenrir. This Dragon is called The Midgard Serpent, Jörmungandr. It is said to be so large that it is said to be able to surround the entire earth and grab it's own tail.

Issei understood that Midgardsormr is Jörmungandr. It seems that his put a seal on his own power, since he didn't wish to interfere in the world's matters. He wasn't really evil, on the contrary he was actually a lazy and peaceful dragon who just wants nothing more than to sleep in the great ocean that encircles Midgard. That's why, Issei didn't want to kill him and wanted to just defeat him and stop the mechanism that was controlling him.

Issei was really frustrated and didn't want to fight any longer and just wanted to go and have some fun with his girls. Deciding to end the fight quickly, Issei started summoning his powers and let his guard down for a moment. Taking advantage of this Jörmungandr fired the Eitr on Issei and he didn't have the time to dodge.

It hit his body and pain overwhelmed him as a burning sensation began coursing through his entire body. He felt as of his body was melting as his vision started becoming hazy due to the overwhelming pain.

Deep within Issei's soul, there were 84 spheres roaming around. All of them had different colors and among them a blood crimson colored sphere was currently bumping against something. This there contained the Demonic Power of Extinction. It was continuously bumping against a barrier that was surrounding the core of Issei's soul. This core is also known as the spiritual core. When Issei activated his powers, the barrier around his spiritual core is removed and the sphere enters into the inner space of the core and starts rotating around it and he transforms into Aerus. Aerus and Issei are completely different. Both of them have different bloodline, different powers and different energy signatures.

Suddenly due to the Eitr, Issei's soul began shaking and the spiritual core radiated a bright rainbow colored light. That encompasses the barrier and reached all the spheres. The spheres all stared shining brightly with their individual colors as they started activating. Then the barrier on Issei's spiritual core disappeared and a sphere immediately entered the inner space surrounding the core.
