Zhai Mu’s gaze was dangerous and somewhat subtle. During the questioning, he sounded too relaxed and easy-going, but in reality he could hear the slightest hint of chill.

Xiller’s thoughts paused slowly, his first reaction was- What did he mean by this?

If he didn’t kill people, was it possible that Leng Yiyao had the ability to kill them? How old was she? The 15- or 16-year old girl, although not as favoured as her elder sister at home, still had a group of servants who were at her every beck and call. At least he should’ve found a decent person to shirk responsibility.

With a sneer, he lowered his eyes and didn’t answer him.

Zhai Mu distinctly raised his eyebrows.

If he hadn’t witnessed her committing the murder with his own eyes, he wouldn’t even believe that such a delicate little girl would kill two people in the blink of an eye.

The key point being- her mood was extremely stable.

His fingertips floated gently over the handle of the chair.

When he discovered that she had killed them, she didn’t bear the slightest hint of astonishment. Even when she was tending to her wounds, she was obviously in a state of drowsiness, yet she didn’t utter a sound. The depth of her endurance was evident.

Not only in D City, but even if you look at the entire empire, the man in front of him whose age was less than thirty, but managed to dominate the gambling market was definitely qualified to be called deep and reserved, with a keen eye. A moment ago when she was in front of him she did not mention anything of such sort.

Hearing the change in his voice, Zhai Mu looked up to see a storm brewing between Xiller’s eyebrows, and he immediately understood that his thoughts had gone astray. He wanted to speak, but suddenly changed his mind.

The little girl was truly a source of calamity. To take control of the matter of the murder and explain it in a way that lead people to misunderstand. It could be assumed that the play had yet to be finished, so why bother helping her out of this situation.

Zhai Mu stood up leisurely, and regardless of the expression on Xiller’s face, he pushed the door open and walked out.

The King of Gamblers…?

City D’s finest Pyramid of Fortune seemed to be quite concerned about that Leng Yao…

He lowered his eyes and smiled softly.

However, it had been three years since he returned to City D. He didn’t expect to come across such an interesting individual.

Not far from when Zhai Mu walked out of the casino, several people came running speedily from the back of the opposite road towards him. Their movements neat, actions uniform and faces were calm as they bowed their heads awaiting further instructions. 

Zhai Mu tilted his head sideways and glanced at the casino not far away. Sure enough, her casual gesture had not been accidental. Now it could be said that everyone ought to have returned from where they came from. 

After getting along for a long time, apart from knowing that she had a close relationship with the gambling king, he could not ascertain her true identity.

It had been a long time since he had met such an interesting woman.

Although, she was just an underdeveloped younger sister……

He waved his hand casually, and said to those people who bowed their heads and waited for the order: “Everyone disperse.”

As soon as the voice fell, the people who just stood on the side of the street turned around in an instant, and disappeared after entering into the crowd on the street.

As he was also about to leave, suddenly, the phone rang…

It’s been a busy month…updates will now be regular. I’ll be updating 2 chapters per week. Hope you enjoyed this update. BTW The plot has finally moved on from the casino. This book is a bit draggy and has lots of cannon fodders and an extremely op fl…but I love these stories since they don’t require too much thinking…a great stress buster lol!
