At first glance, it looked like a small toy car for humans. However, even if it was for children, it was a little too small for a person to ride. It seemed to be made for pets.

When I used my appraisal skill, the results of each item turned up as ‘unmeasurable’. It meant that the items were at least A-grade or higher. I hugged Yong-sik astonishedly. Yong-sik immediately showed interest in the toy.

“Kkyau! Kkya!”

“Yes, yes. All right.”

I put Yong-sik, who was very excited, on the ground. Then Yong-sik quickly approached the colourful and unfamiliar apparatus. Then, he sniffed it out of habit.

It was a toy that looked like a combination of an obstacle course for dogs and a cat tower for cats. There was even a perch at the top for a bird to sit on. I wonder if this can also be used for flight training. I was very impressed with the appearance of the toy which could be considered quite complicated.

“First of all, you need to help your summon release stress every day. Since Yong-sik is still young, it would be better to treat training as a form of play, so I constructed the training devices to resemble toys.”

“Hoo.”

Yong-sik, who jumped over the obstacles in an instant, entered the apparatus excitedly. It took less than a minute to conquer a fairly large apparatus. Yong-sik, sitting on the perch of the summit, spread his wings with a proud face.

“Kkyaaa!”

“Oh, good job, my Yong-sik.”

""

I clapped my hands for Yong-sik who was crying happily. Hae Song-ha, who was watching from the side, opened his mouth.

“Hunter Han Yi-jin-nim, you’re going to the dungeon soon, right?”

“Oh? Yes, how did you know?”

My entering the Sæ dungeon was still confidential information. It was surprising that Hae Song-ha knew about it because it was something that only guild officials knew about. Hae Song-ha scratched his nose and replied.

“Ah, actually, I was also dispatched from the Hermóðr Guild this time to participate in the raid. I’m going to work with Lati as a scout.”

“Aha.”

At Hae Song-ha’s words, I nodded my head in understanding. Come to think of it, the Sæ dungeon was so vast and complicated that it would require several scouts to properly clear. The Hermóðr Guild was said to be a place with a particularly large number of scouts. Although it wasn’t mentioned in detail in the novel. Anyway, it was a good thing for me. I asked Hae Song-ha with sparkling eyes.

“Then can we train in the dungeon, too?”

“I would be glad to help If I am able to.”

Smiling shyly, Hae Song-ha twisted his body bashfully. I was worried that if Yong-sik saw other hunters in the dungeon, he would make a fuss, but I thought I would be less worried if Hae Song-ha went with me.

“Of course you’ll be of help! I’m glad the teacher is coming with me.”

“Tea–teacher, I’m not worthy of such a…”

Hae Song-ha waved his hand with a face flushed with obvious embarrassment. I clasped his hand.

“Please take good care of me in the dungeon!”

‘Yes, yes, it’s my pleasure…”

It was when I shook Hae Song-ha’s hand with such joy that a loud sound echoed in the training grounds.

Bang!

“…!”

“Huk…!”

Suddenly, I heard something break. I looked back and saw the ground cracking in front of Kang Yoo-hyun, who was holding a sword. I shouted with a shocked face.

“Are you crazy?”

Kang Yoo-hyun frowned and said quietly.

“Let go of his hand.”

“What? Hand?”

I looked down at Hae Song-ha’s hand that I was holding with a puzzled face. Did he flip out just because I held Hae Song-ha’s hand?

I don’t understand what’s wrong with him (KYH), but I’ll let go of his (HSH) hand for now because I don’t know what that crazy bastard will do if I don’t. Then, I felt the murderous gaze land on me once more, which made my body feel heavy.

What is it that he dislikes this time? Anyway, I really don’t know what the main character is thinking. I shook my head and looked at the frightened Hae Song-ha again.

“Are you okay? You must have been startled.”

“Oh, I’m okay. No, yes. I’m okay.”

“…”

Look at him. He’s a poor hunter who got screwed up by just one murderous glare from an SS-class hunter. Hae Song-ha reacted like a broken machine that malfunctioned.

Eventually, the training was halted in the middle because Hae Song-ha showed symptoms of nausea and vomiting. For some reason, the other guys who were watching the training session seemed to be quite elated.

Anyway, what a bunch of unhelpful people.

The car stopped in front of Wangsan Port in Incheon. I was a little nervous when I found myself in the car unknowingly.

In addition, I glanced through the tinted window and saw a huge crowd in front of the entrance to the dungeon. Most of them were reporters who came to cover the raid for their news sites and newspapers, and there were quite a few fans chasing hunters.

“Don’t worry, the guild members are controlling the dock.”

Yeon Seung-won, who was next to me, reassured me in a blunt voice. Park Yoon-sung didn’t follow us here because of his work. Instead, his secretary, Yeon Seung-won, accompanied us. Unlike Park Yoon-sung, he didn’t appear friendly, but he wasn’t bad either. Rather, his temperment calmed me down. I responded after glancing at Yeon Seung-won.

“Yes, it’s all right.”

I nodded and glanced at the others in the car. Seeing them like this, they didn’t appear to be hunters who had come to conquer the dungeon, instead, they seemed like pop idols who were about to step onto the stage.

Everyone was conscious of being filmed on camera, so they were dressed in fashionable clothing and accessories from head to toe. Of course, that includes me and Yong-sik.

Yong-sik was wearing a fancy-looking leash around his neck. It looked so adorable with a small bell in the centre. I looked at Yong-sik happily and turned my head after I was satisfied.

Squeak, the door slowly opened. Countless flashes started to appear even though no one stepped out of the car.

“Oh my…”

Do I really have to go through this to get to the ship?

Since the Sæ dungeon opens in the middle of the sea, we have to take a ship to get to the dungeon entrance. That’s why the reporters are all over the port where the ship is.

I hesitated to step out, but someone else made their move first.

“…”

It was Kang Yoo-hyun. Without hesitation, he quickly stretched out his long legs and walked out as naturally as flowing water. And he walked away without caring about the crowd. He looked pretty cool, like a celebrity walking on the red carpet.

“…”

“…?”

He suddenly stopped in the middle of the path. The reporters, who were passionately taking photos of him, looked at him, confused by his actions.

Kang Yoo-hyun turned around and looked straight at the car I was in. He had an expressionless face, but he gave off an aura of intense displeasure. It was like he was asking me, ‘Why aren’t you coming?’.

“Let’s go together. Hunter Han Yi-jin.”

“Uh, uh? Me too?”

“Aren’t you two a pair?”

Yeon Seung-won’s voice was so low and emotionless that hearing it made me wonder, “Is that so?”. So I absent-mindedly got out of the car too.

“Yi-jin-ah, I’m coming with you!”

“Me too, hyung!”

Eden and Kang Soo-hyun also followed me out. Suddenly, I was walking to the ship with Kang Yoo-hyun, who was an SS-class walking by my side, Kang Soo-hyun, an S-class who was walking behind me, and Eden, an A-class who was trailing behind with Kang Soo-hyun.

“Please look over here once!”

“Hunter Kang Yoo-hyun! Hunter Han Yi-jin!”

“Who is that pink haired guy?”

The enthusiasm of the reporters increased greatly. However, they couldn’t get any closer due to the guild members completely blocking them. Yong-sik was surprised to see the white flashes suddenly flaring up and the crowd of people. I finally calmed Yong-sik and went onto the ship.

The ship docked in the harbour was large enough to accommodate all the dungeon raiders. I don’t remember much about it now, but it seems much bigger than the cruise ship I had once been on with my family before I transmigrated.

“Hunter Han Yi-jin!”

“Oh?”

As soon as I boarded the ship, someone quickly approached me, calling my name.  I opened my eyes wide in surprise when I saw her.

“Hunter Sung Yoo-bin?”

It was Sung Yoo-bin, whom I met by chance at the last press conference. We had met so briefly then that I didn’t think she would remember me. She stopped in front of me with her strangely flushed face and smiled broadly.

“Hello, welcome, Hunter Han Yi-jin.”

“Yes? Thank you.”

Was Sung Yoo-bin the type of person who smiles like that? In the novel, she was as lacking in emotional expression as Kang Yoo-hyun, so much so that fans said they were a marionette couple.

Somehow, I felt uncomfortable, so I smiled awkwardly. Sung Yoo-bin looked at me strangely and then opened her mouth again.

“You’re still handsome and charming. Does hunter Han Yi-jin live by only drinking dew? You’re not a fairy, are you?”

“…Yes?”

What did I just hear? I couldn’t believe that those were the words that came out of Sung Yoo-bin’s mouth, when I blinked foolishly, a loud voice came from over her shoulder.

“Hey! Stop her!”

“Yoo-bin unnie! Stop!”

“…?”

Someone hugged Sung Yoo-bin from behind and dragged her away. Then someone naturally came and replaced Sung Yoo-bin and stood in the spot in front of me.

“Nice to meet you, Hunter Han Yi-jin. My name is Song Cha-hyun, I’m the guildmaster of the Freya Guild.”

“Oh, Ni–nice to meet you, Guildmaster Song Cha-hyun-nim.”

Oh, god! It was guildmaster Song Cha-hyun, who I read about in the novel. The head of the Freya Guild, the queen of the Valkyrie!

It was as if there was a halo shining behind her. Guildmaster Song Cha-hyun, who smiled slightly at me, extended her hand politely.

“Please take good care of me in this dungeon.”

“Ah, it’s my pleasure too—”

When I reached out to shake her hand Kang Yoo-hyun, who had remained still up until this moment, moved his arm.

Tak.

“…!”

Kang Yoo-hyun, who shook off Song Cha-hyun’s hand, stood in front of me as if he was blocking me from her view. I looked at his back in surprise.
