The True Queen

Chapter 10 - Since you're a goddess, you can marry my brother!

"Big brother is so strict! How can he send me to the hospital because of a fever and leave me with the guards? I hate him," a little girl murmured as she walked in the hallway. She kept looking around for any signs of her bodyguards.

"It's so hard to fool them. I need to hide somewhere first, or else they'll bring me back to him," the little girl pouted. She stopped when she heard voices and footsteps. They caught up to her!

"D*mn," she can't help but cursed. She might look like a delicate young girl, but she grew up in a male-dominated environment where men have no filter with their mouths though she makes sure that she doesn't curse in front of his dear brother.

On the other side of the hallway, he can see men loitering around, guarding a room. An idea popped in her head! That person in that room might be influential, and those guards won't dare to go in that room. She sneaked in when the men weren't looking. She only managed to do that because the pretty lady inside distracted her guards.

"Hello, little girl. Why are you sneaking around?" Anna asked the child in front of her, judging from the child's height, she's ten years old this year. Anna's observation is on the spot.

"Hi!" The girl smiled and beamed at her. The golden eyes shining as stared at the lady in front of her. "Wow!"

"Wow?" Anna chuckled. "Who are you hiding from, little girl? You're not hiding from your guardian, are you?"

"I'm Rebecca, not a little girl! Can I stay here for a while? I'm bored, and I don't want to go back to my room," Rebecca's puppy eyes are gazing at her. Anna suspects that this child is expert in a.d.u.l.t coercion. She's really cute, there's no harm done if she lets her stay, Anna thought so.

"Sure, you can sit anywhere you like," she told her. Rebecca stared at her, making her a bit uncomfortable. The child grinned like she's up to something. "What is it?"

"You're a goddess!" Rebecca exclaimed, and Anna stopped reading. "There's no way someone as pretty as you is a human being."

Anna laughed out loud, and the guards outside are so surprised that they ended up checking on their lady and found her with a little girl. "Everything's fine!"

Anna waved her guards away, so they go back to their post.

"Becca, I'm only a human being," Anna giggled. This is the first time that someone talked to her like this, so carefree and innocent. She doesn't like to talk too much to other people, but this girl is an exception.

"Human? But you're so beautiful!" Rebecca jumped on her bed and captured her face. It almost startled Anna. She touched her face and thought that this beauty is not hers. "No way! My brother told me that there are fairies and goddess! He even told me that he'd only marry if he meets one!"

Anna frowned, what kind of brother lied to her sister like this? She shook her head, intending to clear the wrong belief.

"There are no such things as fairies and goddess," she told Rebecca gently. "They're only in legends."

Anna believed that this would be harmful to a child if she grows up like this. Rebecca frowned and bit her nails.

"But my brother told me!" Rebecca shouted and jumped from the bed. She started pacing around. "My brother even told me that he's supernatural so he can only marry a goddess or a fairy!"

What the hell is wrong with her brother? Anna can't help but cursed Rebecca's brother. Supernatural? That's man's crazy!

"Oh yeah! Since you're a goddess," Rebecca giggled. "My brother can finally marry, and you're the perfect fit! Wait here! I'll bring my brother here!"

"Wait!" Before Anna can say anything, Rebecca has run away like she's on fire looking for her brother. "What the hell just happened?"

Ugh, what a hyper child.
