After leaving Granny's house I went back to my home to put this little fella there to rest, I need to think of a name for this little girl, when Nordya is free for the lunch I am going to ask about what to call them, they will need names and name tags and collars I think, Mr. Guido might be able to make something about that.

While I was daydreaming what to call them, we arrived at our house, I will need to clean the field and make an opening for the puppies to go inside and outside whenever they want. The field is full of debris from the storms and hurricanes that may have happened, not mentioning the stampede that might happen anytime.

First things first! Let's go to the shack and find some wood cutting tools, a saw or axe or chisel, to make the job. I leave this gal on the floor and approach the shack, they like human heels for some reason, she is play biting it.

At the shack there is... Tanrantantan! Nothing, yay! Poor old me will have to go to the Cottage and ask for some Grandpa Doh to lend me some tools. I go back all the way to Granny's house towards the Smith's entrance, Granny said since I am an apprentice I don't need to knock to enter the Forge anymore, I find Grandpa Doh hammering a bar of iron ingot away, he is really skillful at it too, I keep watching for a while till he sees me.

"What, chap, come in won'tcha?" he says waving his hammer around "What do ya need? Some help?"

"Yes, I needed some tools for cutting wood and cleaning the field from the rocks, a pickaxe and a hoe would do fine, and a bucket of there is any, so I can get started planting when we get some seeds and watering the fields is a must." I said contemplating the most common found tools that we had at my grandparents farm.

"Humm... The pickaxe I have an old one just there in the box, the bucket and the other wood related stuff you will find with Agnes on her Cottage, since she takes everything. For the hoe, you can use the pickaxe for now, the ground must be too hardened for a hoe, later you can make yourself one, what do you say?" he replied to me, which sounds quite reasonable.

"Thanks for the pickaxe Grandpa, I will make mine too and return this one." I said as I got up and he said "Why don'tcha make it two for this old man, eh? Hahahahahahha" he laughed a lot.

"Will do it then!" I said smiling, thinking he would like the one I would make later.

"Gahahahahhahaha..." he kept laughing for some reason.

I left with a pickaxe on my shoulder and went towards Agnes'Cottage.

I clap close to the entrance, since I don't know where she is. Suddenly I hear a voice coming from the back of the cottage.

"I am coming!" it is Ms. Agnes, she was probably doing some work on the backyard.

She comes out from her door in the front, she breaks a smile when she sees me.

"Oh, hello sweetie, how is your day going, I heard you had been made quite a mess when you went to training yesterday." she chuckled "What can I do for you?"

"Well, the farm is missing some tools, so I thought that I would ask if I can borrow some from your old ones, if there are any." I ask sheepishly as to look as much adorable as possible, so I can get something.

"Yeah, I got some oldies there, feel free to take them." she said while waving her hands for me to follow her.

We went inside her Cottage and it was really bright and full of frills in the tapestry and beautiful paintings on the walls. There was a room to the right of the living room when we walk in, it was full of axes, chisels and saws, I looked around trying all of them on my hand to feel the weight and which one would be better for me to take, the best axe, chisel and saw were rusted, probably nobody used these for a long time, but nothing some wheel grinding wouldn't fix.

"Can I take these three after grinding them on the Wheel grinder on the river mill?" I asked Ms. Agnes about it.

"Those were the ones I used when I was a teenager, of course you can take them and mill it away." she said "It is not like I was using them for anything anyway." she shrugs off leading me to the grinder in the mill.

I took all three of them to the grinder and lowered the paddles that power it to the river it started slowly at first, now it is very fast, of course not as fast as a power grinder, but should do the job, it is a piece of stone with a smooth surface.

I start with the axe by pressing the axe head against the spinning stone wheel and some sparks start to fly down, after removing all of the rust stains I sharpen the edge a little bit. Doing these process for two more times I was able to finish repairing the tools, the wood is still in good condition and the rust didn't seem to have affected the tang of the metal for the chisel, so no need to remove it and redo it.

I thank Ms. Agnes again and go back to the house with four new old tools, first thing I am making happen is that doorway, I am only going to make a small hole first, the size of the puppies now, when they grow bigger I shall widen this hole, the little fella noticed me after I walked in and started running towards me.

"Yip... yip... yip..."

"Oh, hi lil gal, it is nice to see ya" I said pating her head, she was about one palm high at present. So that is my measurements one palm high and wide, so marking with the chisel will be a cinch.

I marked the corner as square as I could and made some openings for the saw to come, I whip it out and cut the door forming a small passageway for the puppies.

Now for the test trial I leave the door and call my puppy over she proceeds to go through the hole, so it is a success!

"Yay!" I celebrate this small victory with my canine companion.

Now it is time to clean the trees, stones and everything else from the field, so let's go! "Come on, or else you will be bored inside here alone" I said while she started to follow me, cuddling with my heels.

For this trip I only bring the pickaxe and the woodcutting axe.

The field is big but not enormous, it's the size of a football field, there quite some threes and weeds growing, some rocks here and there and part of the soil looks like a little desertification is starting, which is a bad sign, this field will need some water or water channels from the river.

First, let's start with the rocks, if I break them down with the pickaxe, it will probably leave a bunch of small ones, so it is better to dig a little bit on the sides of it to know if it is big and I can carry it or if it will be a pain to get rid of it, a.k.a humongous size rock. Will try to find a use and make my own forge out of these if I can, even if it would be a smaller one, since I can't be bothering Master and Granny all the time on their house.

I grab the ones that are about my torso size and see how well this new body can carry them.

The first seems to be this actual size, of my torso, after I dug a little in the sides to check if it was buried, nope, ready to go.

"Huff, let's try this! Huurrrghhhhh...." I pull it and the rock comes up easily, but it is really slippery.

"Nhaarghhhh...." I grab the bottom side and the top "Hup! Now it's better! I will put these by the shack, on the side." Lil fella is following me coming and going, after about ten rocks later there is just this boulder which is as tall as me and twice as wide...

Wow...

Let's dig diggy hole! 'Teng' So it is buried and seems like it is wider yet, humm...

Let's go digging it and breaking it down little by little after I have finished cleaning up the trees.

So a switcheroo is in order, let's leave the pickaxe and grab the lumberjack axe.

Going from the closest tree to the shack and starting with a cut upwards and sideways making a dent on the trees.

They seem to be quite young trees, about ten to fifteen years old from the thickness of trunks, I could hug them easily and they where as tall as two stories building.

After a fell the first one a yelled "Timber!" since I used to see the cartoon character yelling it after making some wood drop. Suddenly I hear that crack common to the trunk snapping and it fell to the floor with a loud noise.

Whew, that was nice, after turning around to the other tree, I see Ms. Agnes behind me.

"Gah!" I scream, scared "He-hello! Ms. Agnes, what is it that you need?" I said recomposing myself from the big fright she gave me.

"I came to get the timber, is that the one? She asked pointing to the first one I fell.

"Yes, it is, my first one today" I said proud of being the first time felling the tree without any prior knowledge.

"Try cutting at 45 degrees to the floor and always alternate the direction, from upwards to downwards to make perfect cuts after it get close to the half, change sides and cut a little higher than the first one, then it will fall at your edge, try to employ the gravity to help too. I will grab this one and come back for more." she said and left.

I cut two more trees and then I stopped cause I was really tired.

"See the Skill of Trade is helping you a lot, normally people would have felled at most one of those in the same amount of time." Ms. Agnes came to grab the other two logs.

"I think I am done for today, I will head to Mr. Guido to pick up Nor and have lunch at Granny today" I said to her "How many more do I need for a Profession, felling I mean? And how many more to pay back for the lease?" I still am breathing tiredly from the work done.

"I think about five more for the Profession and two for your debt, that's it I think. I may be wrong about the Profession count though, Rir knows more than I do, that is for sure." She said and started carrying each log on each of her shoulders "Bye, kiddo". She is a strong beastman.

Now let's go pick up my pretty cute wife at her sewing class!
