Chapter 39: Acting for the First Time

The director was shooting other scenes first since Su Jingting was a little late. His love scene with Xia Yishan was rescheduled to be shot in the afternoon.

It was her first time acting, and it was a cameo appearance. She did not have a private dressing room. She could see the scenes that were shooting faintly from the resting area.

Suddenly she got a notification on her phone.

Su Jingting: “Your clothes are pretty nice.”

Xia Yishan was annoyed.

‘Oh, Best Actor, the crew clearly provided this. I didn’t pick it myself.’

After his makeup was done, Su Jingting was carefully checking out his outfit in front of a mirror.

Assistant Sun thought he was unhappy with the clothes the sponsor provided. Something similar happened in the past, where Su Jingting refused to shoot due to his dissatisfaction with the clothes. Assistant Sun was cautious as he went up to him and asked, “Director Su, do you not like the clothes? I’ll have them changed for you right away…”

Su Jingting shook his head. “Contact the sponsor and order a few sets of clothes for me. I want casual attire.”

Assistant Sun hesitated. “… Sure, I’ll arrange that right away.”

After explaining to both of them once more, Director Sun announced that they were rolling.

The camera was pointing at Xu Yang played by Su Jingting and would follow him wherever he went. He walked over to hold hands with Wen Xin, the character that Xia Yishan played. Their fingers intertwined, and he was smiling brightly.

“Cut!” Director Sun stopped the scene in time, interrupting the people who were indulging in the duo’s performance.

Why was it cut when the performance was so good? They were immersed in the scene.

The scene of the handsome man and the pretty girl’s first love was incredibly beautiful. With the burning desire in their eyes, they had shown the feeling of being in love.

Director Sun called both of them over. He rolled the script in his hand and slammed it on another palm. He said sincerely, “It’s good…It’s too good…”

Xia Yishan stared at Director Sun’s serious expression. He did not look like he was being sarcastic. Su Jingting, on the other hand, understood what happened the moment the director said to cut.
