The Rise Of True Magic

Chapter 12 - Anna

Garen looked at the frightened mob who were cowering at his mere presence. It's good that he hadn't even release 1 percent of his power, otherwise these helpless people would have died of a heart attack. Even though they are victims of the church's propaganda it does not change the fact that they have disturbed the peace of the lord's territory.

"Alright you idiots pay attention for I will not repeat myself." Garen roared as the mob which caused them to stiffen.

"You bunch of idiots sure have the guts to disturb his majesties sleep by cause such a commotion at this time of the night. Therefore, I wanted to strangle each one of you to dead for your insolence." Garen threatened the mob by releasing a bit of his killing intent which almost caused them to have a mental breakdown.

"However, despite my objections his majesty was merciful and have forgiven your act of boldness." Garen lamented as the killing intent vanished causing the mob to sigh in relieve. However, the killing intent came back with a vengeance.

"Why are you bunch of trash still here, SCRAM." Garen exploded causing the terrorized mob to immediately scatter.

Garen sighed watching them run like a bunch of headless chicken. Truly humans will always cling to rigid and limited beliefs out of fear; afraid to ask if what they belief is even true. With such a mindset humanity can never prosper, therefore, from this point on things will have to change as humanity have to see beyond their lucid horizon, for the prosperity of the territory depends on it.

Dismissing the impressed workers Garen left to get some shuteye. Meanwhile, Roland to had dismissed Fernandus and the others as he continued absorbing the surrounding Spiritual Energy to increase his strength as it had remained stagnant due to his negligence.

The next day, the poor little dear finally begun to stir from the safety of her dreams back into the cursed embrace of reality. Gently rubbing her eyes, she was puzzled to find herself dressed in warm and comfortable clothes in an unknown place, however, her memories of recent events return with a vengeance. Her innocent and carefree expression was replaced with one that of pure horror. Her hands began to tremble as she began to hyperventilate. Tears began to gently flow down like a stream adding a unique charm to her exquisiteness.

Never in her life did she imagine that someone will die by her hands. Let alone become the very being that she was taught to hate. The screams of her victims that died in agony as they were burned alive. The hateful eyes of her father that abhor her very existence still flashed within her mind, haunting her.

Lost in the sorrows of her misery time passed little by little apathetic to her anguish. However, she was not alone for someone was sympathetic to her plight.

A warm hand reached out fulling her from the brinks of despise. Regaining cognition, she found herself in the embrace of a stranger which caused her to recoil. Regardless of her struggles she lacked the strength to free herself. Throughout the ordeal the man continued to comfort and reassure her.

"It alright child, everything's fine now. No one will hurt you." The man consoled. Ceasing her struggles the girl cried her eyes out on the man's c.h.e.s.t as he continued to reassure her.

Eventually her tears dried up as she was emotionally spent, Nevertheless, the moment was ruined by the sharp growl of her stomach which was not one to be ignored. The poor dear blushed in embarrassment as she tried to hide her head.

"Oh! How negligent of me. You must be hungry. Come let's get some food in you." The man chuckled as he led her to the dining room. Being a gentleman, he pulled the chair for her to sit as the food were served by the maids. The poor dear was astonished to find the tableful of a variety of delicacies. However, it was unsettling to be surrounded by the maids as they watched them eat while they stood at a distance.

Seeing her hesitation, the man laughed as he gestured for her to eat. Swallowing her hesitation, the girl took a bite of the piece of bread.

Before the man could blink the girl began devouring every dish within her sight. The man could only look in astonishment as one dish after another was emptied. By the time the girl was done there was nothing left for him to eat. He could only laugh at his misfortune.

"Now then its time I introduce myself. I am Fernandus an instructor of sorts and you are." Fernandus encouraged the girl to speak.

"My name is Anna. A witch." Murmured the Girl as she retreated back to her shell.

"It's alright child there is nothing it to be afraid off. As long as I am here no one will harm you." Fernandus sighed at her behavior as he comforted her.
