The Rebirth Of Feng Xi

Chapter 6 - Playing Tricks On Tang Zhi

A knock came on Feng Xi's door. Ru'er got up and went to answer it like she normally did. Her face was a little distorted. As she walked away she couldn't help but take in a deep breath after getting a few meters away from Feng Xi.

"Is it time?" Ru'er asked when she opened the door and saw a female servant standing there.

"Yes. Young Master Tang is out in the garden. He is sitting at the pavilion drinking tea."

"I will let the Young Miss know," Ru'er said. The servant bowed and took her leave.

Ru'er closed the door and walked back over towards Feng Xi holding her nose with her fingers again. "Young Miss, are you sure this is wise? If Master finds out you will surely be punished."

"You worry too much Ru'er, the thing about this kind of herb is that the smell only lasts around half a day. So even if they were to check my room for it they would not find anything wrong with it. It was hard to find this on such short notice though and one that had just started to smell." Feng Xi had gotten her hands on a kind of flower that smells of rotten flesh. But this smell only lingers for about twelve hours after it was picked. She had found someone who grows this kind of flower in their garden and was able to buy one just in time for this meeting.

"It's time to go see this future husband of mine!" Feng Xi knew Tang Zhi would be disgusted as soon as he smelt this smell. He was always one to be overly clean. Which meant just one whiff of this herb would most likely send him running. At least she hoped. It all depended on whether or not things were already set out in motion since the first day they met.

Feng Xi bagged the flower so the smell was cut off. Luckily this kind of smell did not linger once it's source was gone. She did not want to use it right away and she was hoping the first blast from this plant would cause Tang Zhi to leave his breakfast behind. Just thinking about the distorted look on Tang Zhi's face while being forced to act like a gentleman with someone who stunk of rotting flesh made Feng Xi very happy!

Out in the garden, Tang Zhi was starting to get impatient as he waited for Feng Xi to show up. He was about to get up to complain when a female servant came walking over to him. "The Eldest Miss will be here shortly."

Tang Zhi reigned in his anger and cursed inwardly. 'I wouldn't be here if not for my mother making me do this. If the Tang Family did not owe the Jiang family I would never take such a stupid girl as my wife! Just wait and see what happens when you marry into my family.' Just thinking of the torture he would bring upon Feng Xi made Tang Zhi smile. He couldn't wait to use the damn girl to make him money.

Both sides had their own thoughts and those thoughts made both sides very happy.

Feng Xi walked into the garden, her every movement was graceful as the last. She kept her head lowered as if she was a shy maiden. Her body shaking ever so slightly. Now, this might seem like something a girl who was meeting her fiance for the first time would seem like, but in actual fact, Feng Xi was trying to hide the hatred and killing intent in her eyes as her body trembled in rage. If she had a choice she would never want to get close to this man unless she was using a knife to dig out his heart.

Pausing her steps Feng Xi took a deep breath to try to calm her emotions. 'Calm down Xi'er. If you want to take down all those who harmed you in your past life, then just put up with it today. You will only need to meet with him once.' Calming herself down Feng Xi lifted her head and put on a smile. Her hands placed in front of her at her waist, with her thumb hooked at the edge of the plastic that kept the smell of the flower from emanating out.

Seeing Feng Xi walking up Tang Zhi was already judging her appearance and calculating what he could earn later on. 'Not bad looking, it seems I can get a lot for her first time.' He forced a smile and stood up to greet Feng Xi. But when Feng Xi stood in front of him with such a bright smile on her face she slipped her thumb in her waist and unsealed the flower's scent. The smell permeated out and dug straight into Tang Zhi's nose making him instantly turn and gag. All thoughts of making money off of Feng Xi went right out the window.

"What is that smell!?" Tang Zhi yelled out. He did not hide his disdain at all.

Feng Xi covertly resealed the flower and looked at Tang Zhi questioningly. "What smell?"

"The smell that just came off your body! When was the last time you bathed?" Tang Zhi looked at Feng Xi with a disgusted face.

"Smell? Bathe? Young Master Tang I do hope you are not already having dirty thoughts about me. It would be very improper and I am not that kind of lady!" Feng Xi turned Tang Zhi's words around onto him making him look like a pervert who was using the smell as an excuse to get mental images of Feng Xi n.a.k.e.d in the bath.

"Who the hell would have dirty thoughts about you? When you smell so… Huh?" Tang Zhi smelled the air again and realized the smell was completely gone. There was a faint smell of soap the kind of smell of someone who had just gotten out of the bath. He suddenly felt like his nose was playing tricks on him. He once again forced a smile and let out an embarrassed cough. "Haha… It seems I was mistaken. I do apologize for my actions, Miss Feng."

"Oh? A mistake? Then I will accept your apology this one time. I know we are both nervous since this is our first meeting but do watch your thoughts, Young Master Tang. Because as of now I can not see you as anything else but a pervert who has a dirty mind." Feng Xi said bluntly, causing Tang Zhi's face to contort.

Gritting his teeth Tang Zhi took a deep breath to calm himself down. "I had no such intentions. I apologize if It seems I came across that way."

"Then shall we?" Feng Xi ignored his apology and took a seat at the table.

Feng Xi made sure she was sitting on the side where the wind would be at her back. Forcing Tang Zhi to sit downwind. With a bright smile on her face, Feng Xi once again opened the seal to the flower allowing the pungent air to seep out. The wind picked it up instantly, sending another blast of rotten flesh scent into Tang Zhi's nose.

"Damnit! That smell again!" Tang Zhi roared as he gagged and dry heaved.

This time Feng Xi did not seal the flower up right away as she was having too much fun looking at Tang Zhi's disgusted face.
