Here we go! Haruyu here!

Shi Yin's mind was filled with fearful thoughts. She couldn't help but wonder if Bai Wanjun would favor Shi Han over her if she knew that Shi Han was more skilled. Would she stop treating Shi Yin as well as before?

Resentment filled Shi Yin's heart as she clenched her teeth. She couldn't understand why everything was going well until Shi Han's return.

Desperately trying to maintain her caring image, Shi Yin forced herself to say, "Mom, please don't be angry with my sister..."

Bai Wanjun's response was harsh and bitter, "Don't mention her. She's like a divine punishment sent to collect debts from me."

If only Shi Han could be even half as talented as Shi Yin, maybe then the anger wouldn't consume her so fiercely.

Shi Yin, with her established position in violin, and Shi Han, who barely even started, were evident. Bai Wanjun couldn't help but sigh in relief, thankful that she still had Yinyin, her obedient and sensible daughter.

Shi Yin embraced Bai Wanjun's waist, feeling content. What if Shi Han was better at playing the violin? She would become Master Kerry's apprentice and the beloved daughter of the Shi family. Everything would belong to her.

________

The next morning, Shi Han descended the stairs with her small suitcase. The family members were having breakfast, but Shi Xuan, her brother, was absent due to work.

"What are you doing?" Bai Wanjun's brows furrowed deeply upon seeing Shi Han with her suitcase, "Are you trying to threaten us by running away from like the last time?"

"I'm not here to threaten anyone," Shi Han replied calmly.

She cast a steady gaze over them. This family always seemed to jump to conclusions and overthink things.

Threaten them? As a disposable daughter, what power did she have to threaten anyone?

Bai Wanjun spoke sternly, "If you know this won't work, then go back upstairs right away."

Shi Yin whispered, "Sister, please listen to Mother. She hasn't been feeling well these past two days."

She had only returned the day before yesterday, and now Shi Yin claimed that Bai Wanjun hadn't been feeling well for the past two days, clearly trying to instigate trouble. Shi Han crossed her arms and spoke firmly, "Why is she unwell? Isn't it because you insisted on snatching my dress yesterday?"

Shi Yin's face turned pale, and she pleaded, "Sister, I didn't do it, I really didn't..."

Bai Wanjun's voice grew sharp, "Enough! It's just a small matter, yet you constantly seek trouble. I don't understand why you're always so confrontational."

"Your volume is quite high, yet you accuse me of being confrontational," Shi Han retorted, feeling the need to cover her ears. The members of the Shi family seemed to possess a special talent for distorting the truth.

Growing tired of the conversation, Shi Han grabbed her suitcase and headed towards the gate.

"If you leave, don't ever come back again," Bai Wanjun threatened, while the father sat in the distance with a grim expression, not uttering a single word.

Shi Yin's face lit up with delight.

As Shi Han reached the gate, she suddenly realized that she had forgotten to mention the household register. She had already purchased a house in the imperial capital to have her own separate household register.

Blaming herself for being too irritated by Bai Wanjun's constant noise, she hurriedly turned back, pulling her suitcase along.

Bai Wanjun's expression grew ugly. After all, it was her own flesh and blood who was leaving to live elsewhere, and it made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

But when she saw Shi Han returning with the suitcase, Bai Wanjun snorted coldly, her face filled with resentment. "I knew she was pretending. I just can't fathom why she constantly plays these tricks on the family every single day."

Shi Yin gently coaxed, "Mom, please don't be angry. My sister was just saying those things out of anger. Isn't she coming home this time to pursue her college education? Let's help her find a good university, and she won't act impulsively again."

Shi Zheng, her father, snorted coldly at this moment. He turned to Shi Han and said, "I know what you're up to these past two days. You just want me to find a good university for you, don't you?"

Shi Han remained silent.

"I've already started making arrangements, but don't even think about getting into Imperial University. I asked a professor there, and your chances are zero. Other reputable universities are not easy to get into either. I've spoken to Teacher Yang at Lingyang Normal University, and you'll go there and stay put."

Shi Yin almost burst into laughter. She had never even heard of Lingyang Normal University, so it must be a low-tier institution.

(Pftt, Normal university? Sounds low-tier clearly- haruyu)

Casting a calm glance at Shi Zheng, she knew all too well about the family's capabilities after spending so many years with them.

Despite belonging to the lower echelons of society in the imperial capital, the Shi family still holds a certain status that many families look up to.

Considering Shi Xuan's promising future and the steady growth of the Shi family, if Shi Zheng put more effort into it, even if Shi Han couldn't enter a top-tier domestic university, she could still secure a place in any other reputable institution.

Even if things were really bad, there was always the option of studying abroad and obtaining an overseas degree.

Shi Yin couldn't help but suppress her smug expression.

She had thought that Shi Zheng would take better care of Shi Han due to their blood relationship, but it seemed that it meant nothing to him. It was a pity that this blood tie was on the verge of being worn thin by Shi Han's petty arrogance.
