- June 12, 2023

Alright cuties, I will be updating every Monday, and if I'm late, I will give you an extra chapter! Unexpectedly, I'm travelling for a while so I won't be able to update next Monday on 19th, so there you go I'm updating one more chapter today!

Shi Han opened the door to find Bai Wanjun standing outside, holding several shopping bags. She purposely inquired, "What's wrong?"

Bai Wanjun responded with a slight hesitation, "Xiaohan, do you still like these three dresses?"

Shi Han met Bai Wanjun's gaze and replied, "No, I only like the light blue one."

Bai Wanjun nodded understandingly. "That light blue one is truly beautiful, and your sister likes it too."

Shi Han acknowledged her statement with a nod and turned to enter the room, with Bai Wanjun following behind.

"Xiaohan, as the older sister, could you let your younger sister wear it this time? She wants to wear it for the opening ceremony," Bai Wanjun pleaded, anticipating potential disagreement. She added hastily, "I promise to buy you a similar one, alright?"

Shi Han, sitting on the bed, looked up at Bai Wanjun and retorted, "Then why didn't you buy her a similar one?"

Bai Wanjun's frustration mounted, expressing her annoyance. "Why are you making such a fuss over something so trivial? I've already said I'll get you a similar one. Can't you see they're practically the same?"

Shi Han's response was tinged with a hint of exasperation. "You just don't get it." It seemed Bai Wanjun was either unwilling or incapable of understanding her point of view. Shi Han picked up the light blue skirt that lay on the bed.

It was a cruel irony that despite Bai Wanjun's proclaimed desire for reconciliation, she failed to notice that Shi Han was still relegated to the guest room, isolated from the family.

Bai Wanjun extended her hand, demanding the skirt. "Give it to me. Stop being so petty."

A soft smile formed on Shi Han's lips. "I've never thrown a tantrum at you, nor have I held any anger towards you."

Understanding Shi Han's smile as a sign of weakness, Bai Wanjun's tone took on a hint of anger. "Just bring it here already..."

"zzzz—"

"What on earth are you doing?"

The noise of fabric tearing and frantic questioning merged into a chaotic symphony.

Shi Han, fueled by a surge of frustration, ruthlessly ripped the light blue dress apart from the neckline to the hem using both hands. With a disdainful flick of her fingers, she let the torn remnants slip from her grasp and cascade to the ground.

A provocative smile curved on her lips as she arched an eyebrow. "This skirt is torn now, and I don't want it anymore. And as for you, I don't want you anymore either."

"Shi Han—"

Bai Wanjun stormed out of the room in anger, leaving behind a trail of resentment.

Fortunately, Bai Wanjun still held a glimmer of hope for reconciliation between her and Shi Han, despite the arduous task it posed.

The tension lingered throughout the entire villa, casting a suffocating atmosphere over every interaction.

Shi Han, feeling weary of the situation, made a decision to pack her belongings and leave Shi's house the following day.

As the evening descended, she ascended the stairs, passing by an open bedroom door. Curiosity piqued her interest, prompting her to take a closer look.

Inside, she discovered Shi Yin wearing an exquisite white princess dress, her hair elegantly curled. Standing by the piano, a violin rested on her shoulder while she held the strings in her hand, lost in a trance-like state.

Shi Yin possessed a gentle allure, a stark contrast to Shi Han's radiant demeanor. Her ethereal beauty seemed to captivate the room.

Sensing Shi Han's presence, Shi Yin's eyes flickered with a mix of timidity and anticipation. "Sister... sister..."

Shi Han responded with a subtle hum, her emotions swirling with a myriad of conflicting feelings.

Shi Yin nervously bit her lip, holding up the violin with both hands. "Sister, would you like to give it a try?"

Shi Han found the proposal amusing. She approached the piano slowly, her slender fingers gracefully gliding across the keys, filling the room with a powerful burst of piano melodies.

Standing in front of Shi Yin, she gazed at the violin in her hands, leaned closer, and flashed a charming smile. "Aren't you afraid that I can play it better than you? Just like before, hmm?"

Her voice carried a softness to it, but it seemed to unsettle Shi Yin, causing her to take a step back, her breathing becoming flustered. "I don't understand what you're talking about, sister."

Shi Han lazily took the violin from Shi Yin's grasp and inspected its logo. "It's still QUEEN."

Ever since Shi Yin started playing the violin when Shi Han returned home, the family had invested a great deal in her training, even selecting the finest violin for her.

Shi Han, with her natural aptitude, quickly excelled under the guidance of her instructor. She dedicated countless hours to practice and even arranged to have Bai Wanjun listen to her play on her birthday.

But on that day, to everyone's shock, Shi Yin's expensive QUEEN violin, worth more than 300,000 yuan, broke in an unfortunate accident.

Accusations were swiftly thrown at Shi Han, claiming that she had purposely damaged the violin out of jealousy towards Shi Yin.

No matter how fervently Shi Han tried to explain her innocence, her words fell on deaf ears.

"Even though Yinyin is an orphan, since we adopted her, she is our true daughter. We can't allow her to feel any sense of estrangement within our family, even with your return," Bai Wanjun firmly stated.
