He recalled the passion that Guo Zhi had towards him. Alex felt his mouth dry, and his body started to become hot.

He was a boy that did not have strong desire. Physiological responses were natural responses from the body, but desire came from internal longing. Alex did have many things he longed about.

But now, he did feel that kind of longing.

He glanced at Guo Zhi. Her eyes were still on the screen, but the typing sound had stopped.

On his phone, a notification about a new post from an account he followed appeared. With expectations, he pressed on it to look, and it was from Guo Zhi.

Alex did not care about what was said in the post. What he cared about was that she was finally done.

A beam of light reached the front of the door and was projected into a circle with blurred edges.

Under the light, the dust in the air could be seen.

Alex was a bit infatuated with that beam of light. He looked at it for a moment, returned to the main bedroom, and got into the bed with Guo Zhi.

Guo Zhi mumbled something and turned her body. One of her legs pressed on him, and her arm hugged his shoulders.

A smile appeared on Alex’s face. He hugged her too and slowly fell asleep.
