Yuuki was not going to select it yet but his curiosity kept getting piqued as the thought of World Travel excited him to his core.

Peace globally occurred as an abnormality became obvious, the Gates had disappeared. Slowly, Governments were freaking out as Mana had begun to leak out of Hunters and seep into the world around them. The alive National-Levels were not an exception.

A massive change like this was bound to arouse suspicion as fingers were pointed towards the place the Mana was going, Korea. Well, this was only until they proved their innocence as they displayed their Hunters losing Mana.

Of course, the economy was messed up as hundreds of thousands of Hunters lost their ability to do their job. Being a Hunter did allow some to amass a large amount of money, enough to live their life without worries, but that was only some Hunters. The exceptions were people who used to be like Yuuki, their rent and many other things were still needing payment. Luckily some were given chances to get back on their feet after the serenity that followed the Monarch of Destruction's death.

Nobody knew what caused the 'Mana Release' event but nobody was complaining. Who would? Lives would not be at stake any longer and many other things also shot down the voices of the few people who did complain. Naturally, there were some problems but none that stood out were unfixable.

The biggest mystery about the whole thing was the sudden disappearance of Yuuki Satoshi. Although he was in the spotlight for a short time, his presence was comforting worldwide. Fans had wondered why his apartment was found to be empty on the day that the President of Korea's Hunter's Association visited his apartment to find it empty with a familiar lingering scent entering his nose.

These words were followed by Yuuki suddenly feeling the cold ground beneath him, but there was something that alarmed him more.

[ Power surpasses the limits of the world, sealing complete. ]

Yuuki felt like a normal Human all over again. He had gone from 0 to 100 only to go back to 0 again. Nevertheless, it was not as though he had lost his power, only that he could not use it.

Yuuki only glanced over this lightly before his senses that were shortened made him want to throw up. Beside him was Hana who was similarly on the floor with an exception as fresh blood coated her face.

Her eyes peered into his as Yuuki's widened and words traveled from his eyes to Hana who attempted to show her understanding.

The reason for their silence?

Death.

Yuuki and Hana were in the midst of a pile of dead bodies.

Blood dripped onto Hana's face and she tried as hard as she could not to gulp and move a muscle when suddenly the spine-shivering sound of bones being crunched echoed within her ear.

She felt paralyzed, her body was not moving but it was unknown whether it was on purpose or complete accident.

Permeating deeply into her nose was the scent of rotting corpses and blood. Its pungent thickness caused her to panic the moment as she struggled to breathe with how nasty she felt.

Seconds felt like minutes. Minutes felt like hours.

The entire time they laid, screams rang all around them. Flames were lit on the small huts nearby and the massacre of the villagers continued.

When she began to feel it was over, she felt a gaze hover over her body, and saliva drip onto her sweat-stained back, yet she remained motionless.

Relief filled her body from head to toe once 'it' moved away until it entered her field of vision.

The monster's face lowered and turned to be above Yuuki's as the beast looked at her in the eyes and she could not stay still any longer as the terrifying look contained within, which was different to the mindless beasts she had fought occasionally, the intelligence merged with pure bloodl.u.s.t petrified her to the spot and chilled her to the bone.

Yuuki knew what was happening, he tried activating [ Stealth ] but was surprised by it working even though it was not supposed to as it consumed Mana normally. Instead, he felt his aura be cloaked along with Hana's aura becoming hidden. This was the reason 'it' could not see them.

'It' was a creature known to the inhabitants of this world as a Demon. They came into the awareness of the Humans not long ago but it was unknown how long they roamed the lands and remained hidden.

Demons grew stronger with every Human they consumed. One's sense of smell could reveal the number but that took experience and knowledge of the putrid scents carried with Demons.

Of course, once Hana made eye contact with the Demon, the subconscious effects of Yuuki's [ Stealth ] were removed, and the feral glint within caused the Demon to release a growl before it leaped towards Hana with its jaws unhinged.

Right in front of Hana, Yuuki moved his hand as fast as he could and punched the Demon as hard as he could.

His fist started pulsating in pain which dulled as the adrenaline within his body was released.

Off-set by the punch, the Demon missed its target and roared like a beast before charging at Yuuki with a speed that surprised him and blood stained his clothing which was not the modern clothing he was used to, but instead, the clothing worn after the Edo period.

A large bite wound above his right collarbone ripped through the muscles in his body yet hit no bones, whether it was luck or not was unknown, not used to his body being that of the weakest Human, he was struck on his left calf and his shin was broken by the force behind the attack.

He grunted in pain.

"Yuuki!" Hana's voice rang in his ear.

[ Host in Critical Condition ]

[ Automatically Equipping Title: Last Hope ]

His vision darkened yet he loudly heard the sound of a man inhaling before the sound of the air being sliced rang in his ears.

With a thud, a grotesque head landed in his darkening vision.
