Li Lanni changed into a more comfortable attire and shoes. Since leaving the hospital, she found that she liked places brimming with happiness and activity like the theme park. They made her happier.

As soon as she arrived at the theme park, she brightened up. There were many kids here in the company of their parents. Some of them antucipated going on the scary rides while others cowered behind their parents.

In the stalls, many colorful snacks were being sold. Li Lanni wanted to try out some.

She skipped over to the cotton candy stall and bought a huge rainbow-colored one. It was so big that she could properly hide her face behind it. She pinched a little of it and put it in her mouth. How sweet. Although she was all on her own, her face was filled with happiness.

"Lanni?"

Li Lanni turned. She thought she heard a voice that sounded familiar faintly call her name. However, she didn't see anyone she knew in the visinity.

Ji Xiehan had only casually wanted to go to the theme park. The sound of children happily playing had always been a source of joy to him.

He didn't expect that as soon as he entered the theme park, the first person he would see would be his little beauty, her small happy face burried behind a huge rainbow-colored cotton candy.

"Fate has made us meet again." he mumbled, not daring to call out her name. He was scared that once he did, she would vanish. What if it was just an illusion?

When he saw that she was starting to leave, he was desperate to stop her. "Lanni!"

The girl turned and looked around. As though she was thinking of something, she quickly left, her steps quickened.

"Wait, Lanni!" Did she not remember him? Had she forgotten already, or had he offended her?

However, she didn't give him a chance to catch up to her. She swiftly disappeared into the crowd.

Ji Xiehan looked lost. "What's wrong with her? Did I get the wrong person?"

His assistant had ran his lungs out to catch up with his love-striken Master Ji. "That's not possible. Miss Lanni had earphones on. Besides, when she turned, her hair fluttered and I saw the birthmark on her back. She probably just doesn't want to speak to you."

Ji Xiehan turned and looked at his assistant with a cold glint in his eyes. "Is that so?"

"Yes, yes... Master Ji, I would never lie to you."

The corner of Ji Xiehan's lips lifted coldly. "Then may I know how exactly you knew that Lanni has a birthmark on her back?"

"I..." Crap. He was so dead set on making Ji Xiehan forget about that girl that he forgot he shouldn't have known who Lanni is.

"Master Ji... In Emerald Grand Hotel when you sent me to check on miss Lanni, she had her hair drawn away from her back. I unintentionally saw it."

Ji Xiehan raised an eyebrow. Why did that logic seem forced? Not to mention, Lanni's dress didn't seem that low cut today.

Although it wasn't an ugly birthmark and Lanni didn't seem to want to hide it, his assistant was being strange. How was it possible that the first thing he looked at was Lanni's back, waiting for the wind to flutter her hair away? Did he take him for a child, or a fool?

His c.h.e.s.t heaved in anger. Could it be that his assitant knew Lanni's wheareabouts and was hiding it from him? How dare he? "I'm giving you three hours to find Lanni and bring her to me. If not, not only will I fire you, I will punish you severely too."

"Y-yes Master Ji."

It was unknown to Li Lanni why she felt paranoid about being in the theme pack. Perhaps it was because she had been hearing weird voices lately, especially in her dreams. She rushed back home and right into her room.

Li Yuming rushed in after her. "Honey, what's the hurry all about? Did something happen? I knew I shouldn't have let you go out on your own."

Li Lanni hugged her mother. "Mom, did I make you worry? It's nothing really. I only felt a little paranoid and rushed back."

Li Yuming was relieved. "Don't worry, Lanni. Mommy will protect you. This time, I will not let anything happen to you."

"Mmh. Alright mom."

"Lanni, I was thinking..."

Li Lanni's curiosity was piqued. "What is it?"

"For all these months, nothing has come out of the investigation. I strongly believe what happened to you wasn't entirely an accident. I was waiting for you to wake up but you lost your memory."

"Mom, what are you driving at?"

Li Yuming held her daughter's little hands. "I'm scared that someone might hurt you again. So, I want to send you overseas. I will go with you."
