“Huuu…”

Myeonghu sighed as he stepped out of the capsule with a frown.

“Dammit.”

He was really disappointed that despite killing so many Giant Wolves, he didn’t have the time to pick up all their items.

“How could there be so many?”

Myeonghu wondered as he thought about the large packs of wolves. The second group arriving he could just barely chalk up to some bad luck, but the third was simply too much.

“Is it some special place?”

He thought it was a location that might hold some unique meaning, but quickly dismissed the idea. To begin with it wasn’t very deep in the forest and there was nothing that differentiated that clearing from any others.

“Ughh… I should have just taken my time.”

Myeonghu thought back to his recent battles. He felt that if he had acted more cautiously from the get go, then he should have been able to handle the third group.

“If only I had known other packs would show up… its too bad.”

He hadn’t expected for more enemies to arrive, so he had hunted rather sloppily the first time around and taken too much damage.

“From now on I’ll take my time and do things properly.”

Myeonghu made that solemn promise as he turned on his computer. He then surfed the internet for information regarding Giant Wolves.

“There’s nothing out.”

Players hadn’t seem to have encountered them or at the very least they had chosen to keep the information hidden. He chose to search for the Great Wolf King instead, and found a lot data on it.

“So their howls are to notify their brethren….?”

This piece of news caused him to frown. They were actually howling in order to summon nearby comrades.

“No wonder more and more kept appearing.”

It was only after reading the article that he had solved that particular mystery. He then continued to read more.

“Ah… so wolves have an innate ability to penetrate armor! No wonder they hit for so much damage!”

He learned why it was that they hurt so much more than the Monstrous Foxes, they all had armor penetration!

“Hm…I should read these things more often.”

He said slightly dejected. Had he known these characteristics of the wolves beforehand, he wouldn’t have died so miserably.

Just as he was about to get up from his seat, a thought struck him and he turned once more to the computer.

“Could there be something about the Nine Tails?”

He search for anything related to it but only came up with a single article.

Judging by the title it didn’t have any of the information he was looking for, but he still clicked on it out of curiosity.

Title: Need to find the Nine Tails…

I need to locate the Nine Tails for a quest. If you have any information about it please contact me.

That was all there was, not a single reply. Myeonghu stood up with a smirk.

“What should I do?”

Due to his recent death, he was locked out of the game for the next 8 hours. He was thinking about what he should do during that time, when his body was struck by a wave of fatigue.

“Let’s catch up on some much needed R&R.”

He jumped into bed after setting an alarm

“I could have been finished with the Experiment Material quest….”

He regretted once more not being able to pick up all the loot, or else he would have surely been able to gather enough for the quest.

He closed the quest window and took out the five Agility Pills from his inventory.

[You have consumed an Agility Pill, +10 Agility.]

He popped the pill which he had received as a reward for Tilto’s quest. Still, he chose not to consume the Mana Enhancement Potions, since in addition to permanently increasing his Mana pool, it would also restore it by 5,000, so he would wait for an opportune moment to utilize it.

“Let’s get going!”

Myeonghu chose to visit the General Store next. His goal was to purchase Health pots and Specialty Elixirs.

“I always thought that I wouldn’t need them….”

He had been so overconfident in his Strength that he’d felt that potions would be unnecessary. However he now saw the error in his ways and was ready to better prepare for next time.

“Welcome! Myeonghu”

Once inside the store he approached Pelun with a smile.

“Can I see what Potions and Elixirs you have for sale?”

“Sure, they’re over there.”

Pelun pointed to his left, where there was a large display with shiny colorful potions.

“What types of….”

Myeonghu walked up to the stand and began to read each tag attentively.

“Minor, Lesser and Medium… just these three.”

He then check their properties.

<Minor Health Potion [Normal]>

Recovers 1000 health over the course of 2 seconds

<Lesser Health Potion [Normal]>

Recovers 2000 health over the course of 2 seconds

<Medium Health Potion [Magic]>

Recovers 41000 health over the course of 2 seconds

After examining them he felt that they weren’t as effective as he had hoped. He would even have to consume and absurd 70 Medium pots in order to fully restore his health pool.

“Wait a minute…”

Myeonghu turned to look at the Elixirs instead. They had some which cured a bunch of Status effects including Burns and Bleeding. He looked through them and found one which he really needed.

<Medium Bleeding Elixir [Magic]>

Instantly cures current Bleeding Status.

Immune to Bleeding for 1 minute.

“This is good stuff!”

Unlike the Health pots, these would truly come in handy. He decided to purchase a few of these, but first looked at the other Elixirs.

<Medium Burn Elixir [Magic]>

Instantly cures current Burn Status.

Immune to Burn Damage for 1 minute.

<Medium Frostbite Elixir [Magic]>

Instantly cures current Frozen Status.

Immune to Freezing for 1 minute.

“Oh, what are these?”

Myeonghu discovered some Elixirs which only provided a fixed immunity period, not curing any current Status.

<Medium Fear Elixir [Magic]>

Immune to Fear for 2 minutes.

The big difference was that it would be useless to take after the fact, but as a preventive measure it lasted twice as long.

“If you’re already caught in that by that Status effect, it wouldn’t be at all helpful…”

His mumbling was cut short.

“…!”

He was suddenly struck with inspiration as he searched in this section of Immunity Elixirs, only to for a beaming smile.

“This is it!”

<Medium Charm Elixir [Magic]>

Immune to Charms for 2 minutes.

He licked his lips excitedly, he had finally found an item which countered that dreaded Nine Tailed Fox.
